Chavez Plumbing came out for an estimate. I walked them through the house showing them the toilets that needed to be fixed. We went up to attic to get some advice on my water heater, and they presented me with the bill. I asked if this was the estimate, they said no, it's the bill. His assistant had done the work while I was walking the owner through the house, without my permission. I was stuck with the bill and had to pay.

I found Chavez Plumbing on Angie's List and called them as they come highly recommended. The reason I called was that we have very low pressure in one tub which I feared was due to corroded galvanized pipe issues. I was afraid this would involve tearing out tile to access pipes and be a huge cost job. It turned out that the only issue was a clogged diverter which was cleaned and repaired in ten minutes. I also had them finish up a sink replacement that I was only halfway able to do myself. They quoted a few other jobs for me that I may choose to do at a future date if I can?t figure it out on my own. Bonifacio was very knowledgeable and nice and answered all my questions. No plumbing job is cheap but I thought the cost was reasonable ? they honored the 10% off discount for Angie?s List subscribers.

Chavez showed up on time, examined our pipes and did confirm that replacing the hot water pipes was a viable solution and promised a quote the following Monday. Before leaving, Mr. Chavez took ample opportunity to describe how expensive membership to Angie's list is. He went ON AND ON about the high fees required for a small business like his to be listed here. We felt uncomfortable and were glad when he departed. I suspected that he was 'priming the pump' for a high quote. We had to request the quote multiple times the following week. When it finally came via fax my suspicions were confirmed. The quote was almost twice what another plumber quoted for the same work. The whole discussion about how expensive Angie's list is on his poor little business felt very shady. Needless to say, we went with a different plumber.

When i first called the answered the phone promptly. Discussed the issue. set a date to have the work done. They showed up on time. The issue was more then first thought. We got he main issue with the sink resolved. We discussed the fact there is water sitting in the main drain. But that everything was working. We will re-visit the main line at a letter date. over all very good job and professional attitude. Job well done, and explained.

Called for an estimate for small leak. While I wasn't thrilled about the $65 fee for an estimate, they could come out the quickest, so I agreed. Mr. Chavez came out and looked around, told me that all my pipes would need to be replaced and that he would send me a quote in 3 days. (Meanwhile, I have a leak.) Called the dispatcher back and after a ton of confusion and back and forth, I am given a crazy high estimate for a repair and other estimates for complete replacement of pipes. All I wanted fixed was a very, very small leak... Come to find out Mr. Chavez doesn't even perform the repairs. He was there to give me an estimate...and collect my $65.

The home warranty company wouldn't cover it. I called Chavez in the evening and the next morning they came out, fixed it and also checked every faucet, toilet and washing machine to unclog any bits that had come through, clogging the faucets. They were very friendly and hardworking and it was a joy. I had already paid when I realized I had a 10% coupon for Angie's list and they let me write another check. After thinking about it for a minute, I felt that they were worth the extra 10% that I paid.

The appointment was arranged within two days of my call for service (at my request). The technicians arrived on time and had on company shirts. They went straight to work and were finished in about 25 minutes. A suggestion was made for improving water pressure in my shower, which I did not accept. They showed me the removed clog but dripped water in my entry hall doing so - that is why they got a B in professionalism. I could have called my usual company but they require a club membership to get their best price so I was checking out a competitor. The price is just a bit too high to make staying with Chavez as economical for me as with my old company. Otherwise, they are great.

I had a gas leak in my kitchen. I was not sure exactly where it was. They came in, found the leak and repaired it. They also checked for possible leaks elsewhere. They were punctual and professional. I was happy with the results.

We called at around 9 am for a same day appointment. They advised that they could have someone here by noon, and that they would call when they were on the way. They called, as promised, and we're here right on time, which was wonderful! They were very polite, fast, efficient, and incredibly helpful. I think that we have found our new plummets for life.

thursday Chavez came out during the time frame promised. within 45 the kitchen drain line was cleared, cleanup completed and gone to the next job. later Thursday evening the water stopped running in the kitchen sink. Called after hours and talked with the owner, Julio CHavez, and he promised to have us on the Friday schedule. I called Friday morning and we were already scheduled. they came during promised time, replaced new fixture in kitchen sink [owner furnished], within 1 hour and were on their way to next job. cleanup after work was completed left kitchen in same condition as when they arrived. very professional, knowledgable and works steady to complete the job...glad we found a new reliable plummer.

When I called the company they did not even know that they were listed on Angie's list. I then asked if they could do the work anyway. They said no because I was located too far.

Overall everything went well from beginning to end, like clockwork.

It was a Saturday morning when I attempted to take a shower and no hot water. My husband went into the attic to discover the water heater had a leak in the top pipe and had imploded. This was a Whirlpool Water heater that was barely over 5 years and had been serviced under warranty 3 times by Lowes with the last service being just two months prior. We decided we had had it with that piece of junk and wanted for a better water heater, even though the tank was covered by Whirlpool warranty for 6 years. We did not want a newer version of the same piece of garbage put back into our attic. I called Chavez Plumbing at 9:30 AM and spoke with a very nice lady who told me they were very busy and weren't sure if anyone could make it out that day. I explained our dilemma that it was 35 degrees outside and we needed to know whether they could come out or we needed to call another plumber. She advised that she would call the owner and get back to me right away. She did within 10 minutes and confirmed she would have someone out to install a new water heater. She told me all they use are Bradford-White heaters and they are very good. When she quoted the pricing I about fell over because it was much more than we had paid Lowes for the Whirlpool water heater.. The Bradford-White water heater is more expensive than the ones at the big box stores, but rated higher in customer satisfaction. If it keeps us from having another bad experience like we had with the Lowe's purchase it would be worth it. I need to mention that our water heater is in the attic which takes two people for installation (so double the labor cost) plus it was on a Saturday. The guys Chavez Plumbing sent out were polite and courteous, they went right to work in the attic. They first had to drain the old heater using a hose to drain into the bathroom toilet directly adjacent to the attic access. After that, they came down with the old heater and brought the new one up. They were finished within two hours of the time they arrived, asked us if we had any questions, gave us our Angie's List discount, collected the payment, thanked us for the business and were gone. They did a great job. We would definitely use them again.

The plumbers arrived right on time and were courteous and professional througout the visit, even though they had to deal with me and my two snarling and inhospitable Labs that had to be moved from yard to various rooms as the Chavez folks worked their magic. They fixed the problem to my satisfaction and came in lower than their first estimate. Will definitely use them again!

I have used them several times over the years for various small plumbing issues. They are always prompt, courteous, and reasonable.

Called another local plumber, no availability because of the "holiday" 1/1. Chavez came out within 2 hours of call, assessed leak in connection to main water line under a slab. Jack hammered, repaired line, repaired concrete. Working conditions were complete mud due to a heavy rain and pipe flooding. Professional, courteous, 10% Angies List discount! We would highly recommend.

Came super quick response on a Sunday to fix really clogged plumbing. Would do business with them again.

My experience with the company was a good one.

I called up Chavez plumbing and they had a crew in the area, so they sent them over. They were at our house in less than an hour! The work went quickly and they were professional throughout. We were very impressed with their speed and availability, though the cost was a little higher than we were hoping for.

Was worth getting an estimate as it provides me with an additional guage as I continue to shop around.

Mr. Chavez came over to look at what we wanted done and sent his men over for the work. They immediately went to work busting concrete. Our old cast iron pipe was in a rough shape and kept clogging up and backing up. Since we were already remodeling the bathroom, we just had it completely replaced. We're also widening our shower, so since the frame work was up, they were able to move the water lines and center the shower drain. Since the new concrete was not added in the quote, we had to do that ourselves and also build a frame for the shower pan. Once done, another team came out on a separate day and installed the shower pan, liner and the faucet assembly. We were very pleased with the work by both teams. And we no longer have any problems since the new pipes were installed! We had used them in the past and will continue to use them in the future.

I called the office late morning. My call was picked up quickly. I explained I had a very, slow running kitchen sink that needed to be snaked. She told me she would have someone out to my house after 12 noon and a kitchen sink clean out was $185.00. The receptionist also informed me she would call first to let me know when the plumber was on his way. Shortly after 12:00 I received a phone call and was told the driver would be at the house within a half hour. He (Marcus or Marco?) arrived quickly and got to work. He was very friendly, polite and neat. He cleaned everything up before he left. It was not an easy clean out. He had to use 75 feet of line to get to the clog. I will use Chavez Plumbing again.

During Thanksgiving week, I bought a new dishwasher and when it was delivered, the installer discovered that the cutoff valve was behind the old dishwasher. The installer explained that I would need to get a plumber out to re-route the connections as the new dishwasher would not fit in the space with the valve in the back and city codes now require that the cutoff valve be located under the sink. I noticed that Chavez Plumbing had gotten many positive reviews from Angie's List members and one thing that was mentioned was how promptly they were able to schedule repairs. I called them and they were able to come out the day after Thanksgiving which I was happy to hear as I didn't want to be without a dishwasher for a long period of time. They arrived promptly, removed the old dishwasher and quickly re-routed the connections. The only (slight) problem occurred when they had to go out to pick up the proper connection. I heard some dripping and found that the water wasn't quite turned completely off. I quickly got a bucket to catch the drip. They were only gone a few minutes, but it was lucky that I was nearby and heard the drip. Otherwise, things might have gotten a bit damp under the sink. They were very polite and cleaned up everything before leaving.
