Condenser not running. Assessed problem as rusted out dryer. Checked air handler as well, drain pan and coils. Inspected full system and declared in good shape other than dryer and accumulated "muck" in condenser. Cleaned out condenser unit of muck and replaced dryer. All freon had leaked so he replaced freon (R22 so expensive stuff). The refrigerant was the vast majority of the expense - labor was a very reasonable $185. Leveled both of the condenser units which had settled about 3 inches each. He made sure they were aligned properly for aesthetics. Advised on keeping units clean to avoid future problems. Charlie is a person that enjoys his job, no doubt. Very professional and friendly service.

We discovered a leak in our AC unit last night. We called this morning and a technician came later that afternoon. He fixed the problem and was very professional. We are very pleased.

We received a call from David who has been with the company quite a while. He was extremely efficient and had the problem isolated and repaired very quickly. This is how you want someone to conduct themselves in your home and during a hot summer day when the house is not cooling! Kudos to Bellaire A/C and Heating for a job well done !! My AC unit wasn't working and another company sent someone out to "fix" it. They replaced the capacitor and left. After many hours, the machine was still blowing hot air. Charles explained that the unit had no freon in it and got it up to the proper level. He also cleaned up some of the faulty work leftover by the previous service people. He explained what sort of maintenance plan we should adopt moving forward. He seems to be very honest and trustworthy, and I appreciate his willingness to come out on the same day.

The gentleman who came was professional and extremely helpful. Even though it was not an A/C issue, we stall had to pay the service fee of course, which we were glad to do. He agreed to give our other HVAC unit a quick look just to make sure there was nothing obviously wrong. He honored our 15% Angie's List coupon. His promptness -- even though we were not established customers -- was instrumental in our getting the problem fixed before it became a catastrophe.

David was GREAT!! Thoroughly described the source of the problem, even helped me with it even though it was not related to the mechanical system, it was a plumbing problem. Charles Devine is the technician who did a fantastic job here at my 3 story townhouse. A week ago, I had the heating and cooling division of my preferred plumber, Village Plumbing, out to tune up our two a/c units. These Trane units had not been serviced for 25 months (at the time we moved in the house they were inspected and serviced with costs paid by seller). We have found our a/c generally working fine. However, the Village rep told me I had a Freon (sp) leak in the first floor unit that would necessitate replacing the unit asap. Of course, this is a $5,000 ++ thing to do. Instead, I had the Village technician add Freon only. Called Bellaire essentially for a second opinion. They had done work recently for a friend. Charles arrived during the time I was scheduled. He was neat and clean and professional. Most important, he showed me the first floor unit is leaking "trace" amounts of Freon... the Village guy's paperwork backed this up as Village had added 3 pounds of Freon "across the two a/c units". His take on the situation was that if I only needed 3 pounds across both units after 25 months of usage, the units are doing a fine job. Also, we discussed my electric bills in summer months and he agreed they are not high. Charles advised we leave things alone, but have a maintenance agreement with Bellaire a/c so heating and cooling units are checked on an annual basis. I like spending low 3 figures versus high 4, especially after paying federal taxes last month! I felt he was knowledgeable and not trying to sell me something I didn't need.

Charles & Charlie arrived on time and were very professional and friendly. They went right to work and discovered what was wrong within a few minutes. Fortunately the problem was minor and they had my AC up and running in about 30 minutes. I highly recommend Bellaire AC. You can trust these folks.

The technician was great - arrived early and clearly explained things to me. He did not charge me for his visit.

They suggested that I get a plumber because the A/C drainline was clogged. The inspection only took 10 minutes and they didn't charge me, which was nice. They were also able to come out the same day that I called them.

After the water was removed from the pan and drain line, and the water detection device reinstalled, the heater works like a champ. We are now warm and toasty.

It went well. One of my A/C units was frozen up and not blowing air to my master bedroom. Charlie checked the attic, vent and unit. Turns out I needed a new filter in my vent. In addition, Charlie alerted me to a couple of potential corrosion issues with my water heater and suggested I have a plumber look at it. We let the A/C unit thaw overnight, and Charlie came back the next day to check my freon. It was low. Charlie gave me the option of installing a new evaporator coil for $2200, or refilling the freon at about $90/pound. I decided to refill the freon and check back next year to see how fast the unit is leaking before deciding on a new evaporator coil. At some point, I know I will need to replace the coil. In addition, Charlie checked my other A/C unit for me and determined it was running perfectly. He did suggest I clear some foilage away from the second unit so it could "breathe" better.

They were here within thirty minutes.....fixed the problem, and honored discount with Angie's list.

They showed up on time, explained the work necessary and were very professional.

I called Bellaire air conditioning when our upstairs unit failed. The technician came within 3 hours and called before he came, as promised. He quickly determined that a safety valve of some sort had flipped. He had the a/c back on in minutes and wouldn't charge me anything. He also took time to give us tips on how to keep our unit working well and increase air flow. I would highly recommend them!

Very strange since both units still working and unlikely coils fail simultaneously. No thank you.... Still debating on writing that review.... David with Bellaire AC instead knew exactly what was needed and even made two trips to get all the work done. Great service..... thank you!

Charlie, the serviceman, was fantastic. He restored my faith in AC repairman, and mankind! I had another AC company out twice at the cost of $1550, and still had a system that was not working properly. Charlie went out of his way to make repairs that saved me from buying a new coil at this time. Charlie didn't send me an invoice until he was convinced the repairs were effective. He called to schedule the appointment and got here earlier than expected. Within 30 minutes, my AC was working. Very professional and I highly recommend him. His name was Charles. In the middle of the summer in Houston, it's bad news when your AC goes out!
