The only complaint that I have is that the operator that set everything up did not mention a $69 service call so that caught me off guard even when I had the work done. Other than that they were very prompt and professional.

Service was amazing! They came to me the same day, were incredibly professional and friendly, worked quickly, and fixed the problem. Not only that, but the tech recommended some regular maintenance of the unit - putting bleach in the drain on a regular basis - to prevent future problems. I could not have been happier.

Day after power restored after Ike, the upstairs A/C unit was not cooling. Noticed at about 4:00. Poked around on the internet for self help ideas, poked around in the attic and outside. Everything was running, just no cold air. Looked on Angie's List, found these guys and called. Called at 4:30pm. Technician was here 20 minutes later. He pulled apart the cover of the compressor, tested the freon and the wattage of the various lines, dug deeper and found a shorted line on the compressor. He fixed the line, gave me some tips about cleaning the unit, showed me how to bypass a delay component if it goes out on the weekend, closed it up, and he was done. He was finished by 5:15. That is 45 minutes from when I called. I didn't ask for the Angie's List discount; I was so happy. Gave him an $85 check, and tried to give him a $20 tip, but he wouldn't take it, said he doesn't take tips. Bellaire AC rocks.

We were extremely pleased with their work. I thought that their price was fair and even low. They did more than we asked them to do. They did the work incredibly quick. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Quickly responded to my request for an estimate, work was done quickly and efficiently. Only problem was a thermostat module that did not work on installation. They quickly determined what the problem component was and replaced it. I was impressed that this was the only glitch that occurred in a job of this magnitude. Rusty (Bellaire) was the most knowledgeable of three companies representatives I asked to give me bids for the job. He was the only one who made suggestions as to the best system for the job, even though he could have made more money installing a more expensive system that was not as suitable to the Houston climate as the less expensive one. He measured temperatures in my home and told me that there was a 12 degree difference in one area due to leakage around my attic entrance. He installed an attic tent to eliminate the leakage.With all this work and expertise, his bid was the least expensive by far and the installation perfect.

They were very professional and I thought they did a wonderful job. They were very respectful about being in my house. They had very competitive pricing.

It went well. They were very professional and prompt. There were two guys that came out they were friendly with me. I was real happy with the work they did.

They seemed very knowledgeable and ethical. They wanted to do a service for a fee, but not to over charge us. The workers were friendly and professional. We would use them again for future work.

They were good, until the last guy came. I ended up switching to another company. They are just hard to get a hold of sometime.

They just correct some else mistake, they are a good company. They have fair prices, and the worked fast and efficient.

They did the work timely. However, the estimate for replacing the evaporator coil was $2,200. After paying $500.00 for freon and a leak test, we were concerned about the high cost of the evaporator coil. We got two other estimates and both were substantially lower. Anderson did the work for $1,700.00. I strongly recommend that you get competing estimates before using Bellaire.

My technicians recognized that my current thermostats have the "auto" feature capability although it had not been activated at installation. They took the applicable numbers off my device and planned to call the manufacturer to have the installer's manual faxed after which they would return to activate that feature; saving me the cost of two new thermostats. Even better, though, they found the installer's manual in the attic while performing the heating system check, and I am now ready for the finicky fall weather with the A/C and heat running the same day! They were very courteous and conscientious. I've never had service deserve more of a gratuity, which was politely but firmly declined because it is "all part of the service." A very pleasant experience!

The work was performed very well and took only one day. I found it very hard to find a company to do this type of work - most companies only want to sell me something in order to do the work.

Two guys with a "Republic Air" truck came out, but one of them had a "Bellaire Air" shirt on. Apparently they are part of the same company, but the person who scheduled the appointment did not mention this to me in advance. They did a good job evaluating my existing system and giving me options on how I could proceed. However, their pricing was not really competitive relative to the others that came out (this could be due to the different brands quoted). I went with a different vendor, but do not have anything negative to say about this company.

It's really sad when a company does work for you and then when you submit a negative report is willing to lie and deflect blame rather than accept the fact they screwed up. Such is the case with Phil Miller and Bellaire Air Conditioning and Heating. I did NOT have the wrong company and they DID do the work. It's funny that when I called to check the date of work done on my house they quickly put Phil on the phone and he asked me what was I doing submitting the negative report. I told him they denied working for me and he said "no they didn't". Look, they did the work, it was poorly supervised, and now they are trying to escape blame. I've sold the house 2 months ago and Phil and Bellaire Air Conditioning can't make right what they never seemed ready to make better before. There are a lot of better companies that will take care of you after the sale.. in my opinion this company is not one of them.

Charlie responded to our call for help very quickly and diagnosed the problem as a failed circuit board. He did not have a replacement board with him but rigged the system so that the fan blew constantly and the air conditioning cycled on as necessary. He carefully explained what he had done, and why, and made sure that I was comfortable with the situation. He called that afternoon to say he had located the board and said he could install it as soon as was convenient to us. He came early the following morning, with an assistant, to replace the circuit board and inspect the system. They hosed out the vents on the outside unit and gave some good advice for future maintenance.

Excellent! They were on time, very professional and courteous, completed the necessary work, and suggested additional checks that might be helpful next spring and summer. They even reminded me about the Angie's List discount when I had forgotten! I would not hesitate to use them again and highly recommend this group of professionals.

Came out on short notice. Identified the problem but needed to order a part so determined a work around to get the AC working. Came back when the part came in and quickly fixed it. Great company and employees. Will not use anyone else.

Call was returned quickly and service was prompt and efficient. Rusty spent a lot of time figuring out what was wrong instead of jumping to the obvious conclusion that we needed a new compressor. The cost of replacing the bad parts was significantly less than the cost of a new compressor. Rusty returned about 10 days later for a different problem (ceiling leak) that we thought was A/C related. He determined that it was not A/C related, and refused to accept any payment for the house call and his time.

Was told that thermostat was supposed to be changed and said that it didn't need to be changed. Was very honest in letting me know that I didn't need it changed.

Bellaire Air Conditioning has serviced our 12 year old Aircons for the past two years and done an amazing job. Service techs have always been friendly, forthright, and not trying to 'up sell' their services. Highly recommended!

There was someone there to take our initial call and honestly said that they may be able to get to the house in between previously scheduled appointments. However, were not able to do this in our available time-frame so they scheduled and were there the next day to look at our problem and give us a quote. Work was scheduled for the following day and installers arrived on time and commenced work as detailed above. Cost was as quoted with no surprise additions. Work required going through the house a number of times and was done in a manner to keep them from making a mess.

Very nice and courteous. Inspected the units, showing me the age and condition on the evaporator coils. Did not recommend any changes on my Trane condensors despite them being 15 years old, but showed me how both evaporator coils were indeed leaking a lot of freon. Freon charge was 22/lb, whereas the other companies I had gotten estimates from were about 27/lb. Really nice people and happy to discuss things on the phone and not request services that were not needed. Only downside was they said they would be there in the morning, but did not show up until 2 pm. That's the nature of a service company that is high in demand, I guess.
