Bellaire Air Conditioning & Heating

During a recent cold snap, the blower motor in my heating system began to squeal and slow down. The problem was that the bearings in the fan were going out. The next day (a Saturday) I searched Angie's List and found Bellaire Heating & AC. I called them, and was told they could have someone out to check out the furnace later that day. As promised, they did. The technician that arrived was professional in appearance and behavior. His observation was that the bearings were indeed going bad, and the motor could fail next week or next year -- there was no way of knowing how much longer the motor would last I chose to have the motor replaced -- the last thing I wanted was for the heat to fail when it was 25 degrees outside, and it was already making a squealing noise. The tech did not have the right part in the truck to do the repair at that time. He said he could return Monday, and we agreed on a time. He returned Monday, and on time. After he replaced the motor, he showed me the old part, and I could see where oil was leaking out of the motor -- it was clearly failing. I am very happy with my decision to replace the motor. Cost was exactly as estimated during the tech's visit the previous Saturday. I would happily do business with Bellaire Heating & AC again.

I awoke to no heat. I called at 7:15am and had an appointment for the 8-10am slot that morning. Shane called 15min before he showed up and had the problem fixed by 10am. Turns out the gas valve decided it was no longer going to open. No gas...no heat. Shane diagnosed the problem, gave me a quote, obtained the part locally, and then swapped it out. Back up and running!

Did not fix the problem. Tech came back a couple of times, but when done still would not cool. Called another company that fixed it.

I had a great experience with Bellaire Air from start to finish. When I called the person who answered was polite, professional, and offered to have someone out the very next day (I called late in the day). I scheduled the service for a day that I was off since it was not critical, and as promised, the servicemen called around 15 minutes before they showed up! They were professional and courteous, quickly diagnosed the problem (which amounted to incorrect installation), and fixed it. They showed me the leak and how they fixed it, then tared their scale in front of me while measuring the refrigerant used (in this case, I paid for each pound of refrigerant) so I was comfortable with the price. They were also very happy to accept my coupon from Angie's list. I would recommend them to others who are unsure of who to call or trust.

I made appointment 1 day earlier, Shane came in the morning. He checked my AC unit and top up the freon. My AC works like a champ. He was listening and addressing all my concern about my AC. I am curious person and I ask a lot of question . He answered all my question. I am pleased with his professionalism. I will call him again for service. Now, I feel quilty that I asked him a Angie List member discount.

I called, made an appointment. The technician was prompt, pleasant, and competent. He told me what was wrong in a matter of minutes and had the part in his van. He gave me the price. I oked the work. He was finished in a few minutes. He noted that the coils were dirty from rain splashing dirt up on them. There was a water hose nearby and he offered to wash off the coils at no additional charge. He recommended that I place gravel around the units so that when it rains no dirt will splash up on them and get them dirty. He did a great job,

The measured temperature immediately decreased 5-6 degrees. Also told me the ceiling fan would decrease the cooling of the AC based on the register's proximity to the fan. Good information. Very friendly, competent. Re-stated their name and told me to call if I had any further questions/concerns. The whole call took 15 minutes.

We had Bellaire come out to do the work yesterday morning. They did an excellent job. The technicians are polite, professional, knowledgeable & trustworthy. They take time to answer your questions and explain things in way we can understand. My husband trusted them enough to pop out for 30 mins leaving the technicians in the house working. When you call, the phone is answered quickly and politely. They people who answer the phone are refreshingly knowledgeable and can answer your questions as well. All in all, excellent customer service! Something I haven?t experienced in such a longtime.

I contacted 6 different companies 3 in the winter and 3 in May for estimates. Five got back to me in a few days with quotes. The companies I contacted in the winter I felt uncomfortable with so in May I used Angies list to find 3 more. I felt most comfortable with Rusty from Bellaire. I emailed him several times after the initial quote and he answered my questions promptly. I felt he was honest and forthright with me. Also, I thought the total cost for everything was very reasonable and between paying by check, rebates and the tax credit I was able to take off $3200 from the amount listed above. My wife and I are extremely pleased with their work. This is the first time since we moved in 8 years ago that is actually comfortable in all the rooms including the masterbed room. Their work was very professional and looks great. The attic used to be an embarrassment with old ducts laying on the rafters and going everywhere including ducts to nowhere. Now the attic is very much improved.

Based on ratings on Angies List, I called Bellaire A/C on a Saturday at 8 am for one of our AC units that was not cooling. I talked to Phil who was very courteous and said a technician could come to our house today. The technicians (Randy and Charlie) arrived at 9:45 am and found a broken capacitor on the unit and replaced it. They inspected our other 2 units and said everything was fine. They were very considerate (e.g.-taking shoes off at front door), efficient and professional and finished in about 45 minutes. They even gave me the 15% Angies List discount without me saying anything! Although our AC problem was not complicated, this is probably the best service we've had from any repair company. I would highly recommend them.

This is a superior air conditioner service company. The technician was knowledgeable and very professional. Unfortunately he accidentally stepped through our ceiling...his first and only accident in 22 years. He arranged for repair before he left the house and the group who arrived to do the work were exceptional. There wasn't even any dust as they used vacuums while the worked...and matched the texture pattern and paint perfectly. Bellaire Air Conditioning and Heating has our business for as long as we are in the area, both their standard work as well as their problem resolution were exceptional. They even reminded us about the Angie's List discount.

I called Bellaire A/C and Heating yesterday for an inspection of our 2 a/c units and heater (we had not had them inspected since we moved in over 2 years ago.) They were professional and prompt on the telephone and scheduled a service visit for the following day. The service team called before they arrived and were prompt, friendly and professional. They did an awesome job. The main technician, Hunter, was super nice and patiently answered every question I had about air conditioners, which was a lot since I knew pretty much zero before. He showed me how to maintain the drain lines in the attic and we even discussed different types of air filters and how often to change them. He also provided an estimate to add an A/C duct to a closet that has been converted to an office. I will DEFINITELY use them to install the duct and for regular service hereafter. Very pleased.

Our 18yo compressor was struggling to keep the house temp down in the high 70s on recent warm days. We had had Freon added 5 yrs ago and we thought it was time for more. We have had unpleasant experiences with a/c repair-people, because it felt like their mission was to sell us replacement components rather than fix what we have. On the phone setting up the appointment, I could tell this would not be the case since the man I talked to said it was their practice to watch old equipment like ours for a period before recommending upgrades. David Daniels came to our house right at the appointed time. He was courteous and explained what he wanted to check. He measured the temps at some of the registers and just downstream of the evaporator in the attic. Then he went outside to the compressor and checked the temps and pressures. He got his hose and thoroughly cleaned the coils. Then he added Freon, checking the way the return pipe felt until he was satisfied that the fluid coming back from the evaporator was cold enough. Then he went back inside and measured the temps at all the registers in the house and could demonstrate that the air was indeed much cooler. We certainly could feel it also. Our unit is on much less of the time since then. We were so pleased that we signed a one year service contract (it's included in the total we spent above).

He was very professional and knowledgeable. He arrived on time and called to let us know he was on the way. He inspected both systems and made recommendations. I appreciated that he didn't appear to be going out of his way to look for things to fix. I plan to use them for the follow up work. I believe the prices he quoted were reasonable and the price for the inspection was great.

Very thorough knowledge of equipment, gave a very detailed proposal with options, and critique of four other bidders' proposals. Needed to install correct models in the attic of two story home and meet energy tax credit requirements and deadline. A big job that took two full days, replacing one a day so we were not without air conditioning. Good professional employee crew. Good clean-up and haul away. Came back and made minor adjustments at no cost. Very satisfied with the job. Highly recommended.

I awoke on one of those chilly February '10 mornings to discover I had no heat. I had no expereince with heating contractors, so I reviewed Angie's List and found Belliare Air Conditioning and Heating with great ratings. I called at 6:00 am and left a message; my call was returned within 20 minutes and a service as arranged for "before 11:00 am". The technician called before he came and arrived around 9:00 am. He quickly found the problem, showed me the faulty part and replaced the part. While he was at my house, the technician noticed that the air filter needed changing and he performed that service for me. I wa extremely satifiied and later signed a yearly service agreement with Bellaire based on this experience.

The engineer diagnosed the problem quickly on his first visit. A part had to be ordered and, as agreed, he called to let me know when the new part was available. The repair was carried out on a second visit and the system has worked fine since. On both visits the engineer arrived when he said he would, and on both occasions he called ahead to make sure we were home and ready for him to come.

The technician did a thorough job in inspecting the heating system. He arrived on time, was courteous, and professional. I plan to use this company again for my heating and A/C system needs.

My overall experience with them went well. They had very good reviews and references. So I chose him over the other company whom I had been using for many years to service my system. He was really good and didn?t try to oversell. He checked out everything to make sure it was eligible for the re-buy. It took him one day and a little bit of the next morning to complete the installation. He was extremely clean and thorough. I was just real pleased with him. I would use him again in future.

It went well, they called before they came and estimated what time they'd be arriving, and they in fact did arrive at that time. Checkup and thermostat installation went smoothly.
