The initial experience in the store was positive. Our salesperson, Jennifer, was extremely helpful. The furniture was delivered in about 30 days which was about the timefrane we were given. The delivery personel were cordial and did a good job. Our problems are with the service after the sale. At the time of delivery, I noticed the sofa had a flas on the corner section. I noted it on the paperwork and the delivery men said someone from Bassett would call. I received no call so I called them. I was informed it would be almost 3 weeks before a technician could even come out and look at the damage. The technician finally came today, and I assumed he would tell me what they would do to remedy the problem. He said somone would call in a few days and tell me what they will do about the problem. I am not holding my breath at this point. So far, the service after the sale has been almost unbelievably poor. I have also purchased furniture from Star and Lazy Boy in the last 5 years, and I would strongly recommend dealing with them instead. Both were excellent to work with.
Description of Work: We purchased a leather sectional from them. We also purchased a custom dinette set from them. We had the purchases delivered.

We purchased a set of book shelf/storage unit from them. Three weeks after we placed the order, the piece arrived. Service was called after the installation since there are a lot of quality problems. A technician came along the first time. He determined some parts needed to be replaced and placed the order. Three weeks later, the parts arrived and service was performed. Again, some parts needed to be reorder due to quality issues. Another three weeks later we were told a brand new unit would be delivered to replace the old one as there is no individual part available. I refused the idea (who knows what new problem would have for the new one?) and threatened to return the existing unit. Eventually, they sent in only the necessary pieces and finished the work.

They are the worst. The sofa began to rip at the seams, in less than a year. I called them to repair it, but they will not. They said, they must be notified in seven days of an accident. I explained it was no accident, the thing is just falling apart. I called and called. I wrote letters, which were ignored. At this point, I am just stuck with it.
Description of Work: I purchased a large leather sofa. It has 3 recliners and a pop out table. It also, has heat and massage functions. Due to the cost, I opted for their leather repair insurance on the sofa.
