Description of Work: Planted a 30 gal tree. Charged me $150 for a root grinder to take out the other root, but he did not come until the guys had the root out. I told Joe Keefe I would deduct the$150 and he said no, that he has to pay the guys who took it out. I know he did not pay them $150 for the hour it took them. I asked if they would stake the new tree until the roots would hold it and they said no, they don't stake trees they plant. It is now LEANING. Joe came by and said it needed two more bags of mulch. The top roots are showing and he hasn't brought the mulch. It's evident one side has had insects eating the leaves, which I didn't notice while they were planting it or I would have requested another tree. They guarantee it for two months without more cost. Bounds Trees, where I got my last tree, guarantees for a year without additional cost. Also, did not get an Angie's List discount. He has not come for the payment. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Description of Work: The job was to trim up a very large, very old Live Oak tree. I am overall pleased with the work and happy that it is done. There were two things about the job that I wish had been different. The first was simply an area in the canopy that was overzealously cut back and created a "hole". The second is that all cuts were left "raw". I always believed that it was important to coat the wood to prevent insects, etc. from gaining access. I covered the ones I could reach myself, but most were far out of reach. I assume company policy is to leave them uncovered and hope/assume that the age of this tree will be all the protection it needs.

Description of Work: I had a tree removed in my front yard. Estimate was very professional and itemized. The crew came on time, and did a great job. I am still awaiting the stump grinding, as it could not be done on the same day. My only complaint is that Bartlett insisted on performing the work on a day I was not home, so I could not watch the work proceed.....I never like that in a contractor, as things can go wrong--such as incorrrect treee being cut down, or other misunderstandings. But all went well, and after I got home, the work looked fine. Good company, but price seemed above average. I would definitely use them again.

Gene seemed very knowledgeable about trees and gave me advice about other trees on my property. I liked that he did that a lot. He understood my limited budget and did not try to sell any other services. He just took care of what was needed.

+ 0 moreI have been using them for about 3 or 4 years now. They charge $328 without tax to feed the trees. I like them. They are very prompt, they call you, and they are very professional. They took care of my trees after Ike; they come in and they take all the stuff away, they mulch it, and you don?t have to deal with the mess. They are also very good about cleaning up.
Description of Work: I use the services of Bartlett Tree Experts for tree service. They came out on Wednesday to feed the trees. They have done tree trimming for me as well.

Description of Work: They removed two cherry laurels from the front yard and ground the stumps. They treated all the trees with fertilizer. They planted two Italian cypresses in the front yard. They have also trimmed my oak trees.

+ -1 moreA man came out and gave me a quote which in retrospect was very high. His crew came the next day and they performed the work well and in less time than the original quote. I was able to get the price reduced easily and with no hassle. However, I was use to working with someone previously whose prices were significantly lower and who performed the same quality of work. Bartlett Tree Services does offer many landscaping services but they do tend to be pricey. The crew was very polite.
Description of Work: I just had one live oak tree trimmed in the back of my house over my pool and home.
