The broker (Steve) was excellent - very helpful, professional, and responsive, and the interest rate/origination charge was the lowest I found anywhere. The loan processor (Anna) was much more difficult to work with - she was generally not very helpful, and her responses to my questions often just involved highlighting and underlining a portion of the email about which I was asking the question. Even after phone calls, I often felt like I just had to give up on trying to get a clear answer and go figure it out on my own....very frustrating in an already stressful process. I worked through the loan process with 3 different lenders, and by far this broker/lender required significantly more paperwork and hoop-jumping than the other two. The lender is requiring me to carry insurance to cover the full value of the loan - so I am now also insuring the land value for replacement....which is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of, and this came as a surprise late in the process. If I were financing 95% of the home value, this would be a very significant cost that would probably offset the savings on the interest rate. Though on the flip-side, they were willing to accept an existing appraisal, which saved me the cost of doing it again. Overall, given the size of the purchase, going with these guys saved me thousands on closing costs, and thousands in interest, so it was worth it.....but the whole process was probably much more stressful then it needed to be.

It went and quot;FANTASTICALLYand quot;!!!!! We bought and modestly financed our home (50% Down, 50% Loan) 11 months ago and that process was AWFUL. My wife and I felt and quot;violatedand quot; and felt like we had a double colonoscopy + other major surgies. HOWEVER, this process was quick, painless and actually somewhat and quot;enjoyableand quot;. They even came to our house and conducted the closing there. I would recommend this company to anyone interested in refinancing an existing home mortage and saving money.
