My dryer stopped heating on Saturday afternoon of Memorial Day weekend. I quickly scrambled to call several providers who were highly rated and appeared to be open Saturdays. Appliance Cowboys called on Sunday and scheduled the service visit for Monday afternoon. They also had a Big Deal being offered and the woman on the phone encouraged me to buy that because she said it would save me money. Monday morning I received a call by the technician saying he would like to come earlier in the day. This was great because it was a holiday and we would all like to get on with our days! He arrived as scheduled, wearing little blue booties over his shoes to protect my floors from his shoes. He also asked for a towel to protect my wood floor from scrapes when he was accessing the back of the machine. He quickly diagnosed the problem with the dryer, got the part from his truck, and had everything installed and running in less than 30 minutes.
My only concern was cost. I am not sure that my service fees would have been as high as the cost of the Big Deal, and when I googled the price of the heating element, the part itself was quite a bit cheaper than the fee I was charged that apparently included the part, installation and warranty.
Overall, I am pleased with the service I received and was happy they could come out so quickly. At this point, I plan to use Appliance Cowboys for future repair and servicing of large appliances.
