Replaced Pump in three days

When they first walked in, it was obvious that the Appliance Guys knew exactly what they were doing. They quickly assessed the problem and told me the specific parts they would need and would return once they had the parts. Once they got the parts, they returned and again quickly fixed the problem. I would definitely use them again.

It went very well. Even had the technician perform additional work. My old dryer now operates like new.

Marco was very knowledgeable, prompt and professional. He explained all my options, the cost of each and exactly what he was going to do. I had purchased the $74 large appliance repair deal through Angie's List, and feel I received the same quality of service as if I had paid a higher, non-promotional price. I was very pleased with everyone I dealt with at Appliance Cowboys from Mary who took my work order to Marco who set up the appointment and performed the repair. I will definitely refer them and use them again.

I called Appliance Cowboys and spoke to a person that I believe was the owner. I gave her the Model and Serial number of the G.E. double oven and told her that the panel was flashing an " F 7 " error code and that the owners manual said that this code meant that the oven control board needed replacement. A service man came out and confirmed that I had given the correct Model and serial numbers and that the panel was flashing the F-7 code. He was here less than 5 minutes and said he would have go and research the problem. He called back several days later and gave a cost of $938.00 for parts and $149.89 for labor. I asked him to break down the parts and he said that the control board was $ 489.00 and the control panel was $449.00. I told him that the owners manual said that the board was the problem and not the panel. His response was that they always replace both. I then asked him about how long the repair wouldtake and he said less than one hour. My question was then why the additional labor charge and he said it was a two man job and required completely removing the oven and placing it on a oven dolly to work on it. I told him that I would let him know. I then removed 4 sheetrock screws holding the oven in place to see if it looked like a bad job (I am 72 years old and not in the best physical shape). It was indeed very easy to slide out about 4 inches which made the board completely accessible. I then went to the GE Parts web site and ordered the board at a cost of $324.25. When it arrived the next day I replaced the faulty board slid the oven back into the wall and replaced the screws. This took less than 30 minutes. The oven works perfectly now. Had I let them do as they proposed it would have cost $1087.89 plus the $74.00 I paid to Angie's List for a total of $1161.89. I BELIEVE APPLIANCE COWBOYS JUST WANTS TO GET THEIR FOOT IN THE DOOR BY OFFERING SPECIAL DEALS. .

The experience was excellent. They were very prompt. The price was high. They came out last week. They came when expected. I would give them top marks.

The problem was with the dryer not drying in one of my rental units. The technician that came was very on time, very polite and profession. He examined the dryer and determined that it was working. he continue and discovered that there was an electrical problem causing the dryer to malfunction. He advised what we needed to do to correct the problem. I was very pleased with this service

Kitchenaide refrig icemaker went out - the coupon was for 2 trips of labor cost. But, I felt the PRICE of the parts was exorbitant - $41. for parts for an icemaker and it wasn't even the motor on it. Then u add on the cost of Angie's List coupon and that brings it over $500. to just be able to add ice. If I had known that was how much it was going to run, I would have NOT purchased the Angie's list coupon cause the frig was 12 yrs old and for a little more than twice that - get a brand new refrig. Marco from Appliance Cowboys was the person who did our work. I recommend him highly! In a world where people don't come when they are suppose to, don't follow up, misdiagnose, etc...Marco was a breath of fresh air! He was professional, dependable, courteous and really good at what he did. He diagnosed our refrigerator as needing a new compressor and gave us a bid. He had to return the next day to put it in. He called when he said he would, he came when he said he would and he did what he said he would do and more! As he worked on our refrigerator he realized that the copper wiring had a leak. He repaired it ...then found another. He repaired that too. The job took him much longer than he thought but that is because he did it right. When he gave me my bill it was for what he originally quoted even though he did more work than originally anticipated. Rest assured I will use Marco at Appliance Cowboys for all my appliance needs.

They came right on time and they were very professional. I thought my machine was broken but they came and showed me that it wasn't and showed me how to properly work the machine. They were very efficient. Me and my wife were very impressed.

He was very honest. He returned my $50 for the service call, which made me very happy. He was very neat and polite!

This repair service was for an office I was managing at the time. The refrigerator had an ice maker but didn't work (due to the clogged line). I called Appliance Cowboys after I saw one of their vehicles at a stop light....advertising does pay! Super service, reasonable prices, and I will definitely use them again as the need may arise.

I used an Angie's List Big Deal special offer for this service. The technician that came out said I needed a new switch and it would have to be ordered. When the part arrived they came back out and installed it and they charged me an additional $150 to $170. I guess, generally, there is no such thing as a free lunch.

Marco was wonderful. Came on time and was very professional. Moved our refrigerator and was careful not to mark the tile. I would use this provider in a heart beat and definitely ask for Marco.

Told me the lever on the ice-maker needs replacing because it was sticking - would be costly. This was not the case. After he cleared the blocked ice, the dispenser works fine. Without fully "inspecting" small leak in washer, said there is a crack in the tub. Did not fully exam the tub - just made that decision. Told the repair would be very costly.

Great service and very professional technician. Disappointed in fine print of coupon. I paid $69 for labor (not including materials) on any one appliance. The ice maker installation was covered and, as agreed, the ice maker itself was an additional cost. However, the work on the supply line did not count as labor but was instead $150 of 'maintenance'. I was frustrated to find this out after the repair had been done.

In March, our dryer stopped working. The technician came out same day service and said it was a broken part. He ordered the part and came back a couple of days later to fix it. When I did laundry that night, it wasn't working. He came out the next morning and said he believed it to be because the vent was clogged up leading outside. We called a vent cleaning company to come clean the vent (which took another couple of days). We paid the vent company who reported that the vent wasn't really very dirty and certainly wasn't clogged. We called appliance cowboys who came out again and said that it must be some other part which he replaced and the dryer then worked. All in all we were without a dryer for about a week and a half, paid for them plus two parts, and an unnecessary vent cleaning. We decided to give them one more shot last month when the dispenser on the front of our refrigerator went out. The same technician came out the next day and took apart the dispenser in the door. He said the problem was the control panel in the door which he would need to order. We paid $50 for that visit. He called later and said it would cost $250 for the part plus $150 labor. My husband looked up the part online and found that it was $71. Because of the outrageous cost, we decided to order the part and put it in ourselves. We did that, but the dispenser still wasn't working. We called LG appliances and they walked us through a diagnostic which found the problem to be something totally different. We ordered this new part and installed it and it worked perfectly. So yet again, this appliance ended up having unnecessary costs to get it fixed. Additionally the mark up was unreasonable from Appliance Cowboys. So while it is nice that they show up the same day, their repairs take much longer and from our experience don't fix the problem on the first go. We won't be using them again.

technitian explained the problem with the motor of that particular model machine, the wear on the motor, and the future prognosis of this machine. Considering the cost of repair and the probably of breaking down again soon, he recommended not to do the repair.

The technician was extremely polite, explained everything he was doing and showed me the evidence for needing the cleaning. He responded quickly, was efficient and very thorough. I would certainly recommend.

When my husband called Appliance Cowboys, they said they could have a look at two of our appliances that were damaged and when the technician came, he said he could work only on 1. He didn't do much, he just had to push a button to make the light of the heater work and that took 5 minutes and then he said that he couldn't fix the oven although he had originally said that he could fix it, so we ended up not getting our money's worth. So far, we are going to purchase the part that is damaged in the oven and they are willing to come and fix it for no additional charge so overall I think we are okay. It wasn't great but it was adequate.

I think it was felt too complicated to get involved. Asked as to get a refund. Nice and helpful.

First trip was to identify the problem and order the repair kits (serviceman didn't locate my locatoin accurately resulting in him being late; other than that, everything weht well timewise). Refrigerator repair was completed and paid for. Oven repair couldn't be completed, so there was no charge for that. I will need to purchase a new oven (I was expecting this), and will have this company do the installation.

Checked our wine coolers to either tell us they are broken or there was a way to repair them. They were quick, explained everything to me and didn't try to repair my wine cooler when it was cheaper to replace it.

I bought a Big Deal for $74.00 for a large appliance repair. Serviceman arrived promptly at appointed time. I described the problem with my refrigerator. and before he even took a look at the refrigerator he informed me that my problem was a maintenance problem, not a repair, and that I would have to pay him $149.50 to fix the refrigerator. My alternative was to turn off the applicance and leave it off for five days. When I told him I had already paid Angie's List Big Deal $74.00 and I expected him to fix the refrigerator for that amount, he again told me the problem with my refrigerator did not qualify for the Big Deal. Again, this is before he even looked at the refrigerator. I told him he could fix the refrigerator for the $74.00 I had already paid or leave my house. He called his office and talked to someone for a minute and then told me he would give me a good deal and count the $74.00 I had already paid against the $149.50 it would cost to perform the maintenance. I told him I was very angry and that he had only two choices: 1--to fix my refrigerator for the $74.00 I had already paid or 2--to leave my house. I told him that what he was doing was called "bait and switch," and that I was going to leave a bad review on Angie's List. He then agreed to fix the refrigerator for the $74.00 I had already paid. Only then did he actually look at the refrigerator. He flushed a line and poured some water down the defrost drain and declared that there was nothing wrong with the refrigerator. The refrigerator has been working properly since his call. He was polite and seems to have done a good job, but I really resent him trying the "bait and switch" routine on me, and trying to back out of the Big Deal which did not mention anything about maintenance versus repair. I don't believe the problem was maintenance. I think he was just trying to get some more money from me. I re-read the Big Deal details and there was nothing that mentioned maintenance was not covered, although I do not think the problem was maintenance. I would not use these people again. This is the type of experience I use Angie's to avoid.
