Like many of our neighbors, my wife and I are aging inner city residents by choice. Having dependable and proficient tradesmen available to service our residence maintenance needs is essential to our unassisted living style. Bret Williams, owner and technician, with Apex is an all phases specialist in installing and maintaining sprinkler and irrigation systems. He is the epitome of an honest and capable tradesman.

This was a really small job, but Bret was willing to work me into his schedule.  I thought he really knew his business and appreciated the information he shared with me.

Had a bit of trouble coordinating the appointment, but work was done well for a good price.

Apex came on time for all appointments, evaluated all the sprinkler heads and repaired only those sprinkler heads or connection hoses that needed work. The work was done efficiently and completed in less than a day, by one supervisor and one workman.

Bret is wonderful! He's been working on our old inherited system for a few years now and this man knows his craft.

Brett does a fantastic job of both assessing sprinkler system needs and then working with the system to have it optimally keep the yard and plants happy, even if the heat of Houston summer. He has repaired our system, added a and quot;rain gaugeand quot; so that the system does not go off after a rain, moved sprinkler lines, etc. His work is impeccable.

Very positive experience. Bret is professional and gets right down to work. We've used him twice to repair the sprinkler system in our new house. He was very willing to explain how the system works and gave his recommendation on how long each zone should be on. Did not try to sell me anything I did not need. He can be slow to return calls when it's a busy time of year, but we didn't have any emergencies and he apologized for the delay. He works by himself and well, the best people are busy; that's a good sign! I plan on using him for all my lawn irrigation problems. Highly recommended.

I had water leaking from my master value so I called Apex to get some advice on what to do. He gave an estimate of $120 - $200 depending on whether he could repair the value or had to replace it. He came out on time and was well prepared to do the work. He reviewed my current sprinkler setup so he could better understand how everything was connected and what to repair. He tried to repair the valve but the value was stripped and could not be fixed. He replaced the value and gave me advice on maintaining my sprinkler system and on an area where I was having some watering issues. He gave me honest advice without trying to sell anything which I appreciated.

Very satisfactory. Bret was able to come out one morning and take a look at our system. The control system was old and had to be replaced. He recomended a unit that was in line with what we needed. He came out that Saturday and installed the new system, checked all the sprinkler heads and fixed those that were not working correctly. A month later I noticed that one of the sprinkler heads was not working. Bret came by a couple of days later and took a look at it at no charge. Very professional and does a good job.

He was great. He told me on the phone how to fix the timer box. He is very busy and just happened to be coming my way the next day. Otherwise, I am not sure he would have been able to work me in, but I am glad he did!

Bret is amazing. I saw from earlier reviews that he is swamped with service calls due to the drought in Houston, and that emailing him is the best way to reach him. So I emailed him on a Tuesday afternoon about our job and he responded via email and a phone call that evening to say that he would be at my house Wednesday afternoon at 1pm to take a look at the system. He showed up precisely at 1pm on Wednesday and immediately got to work. He spent about three hours at our house on Wednesday to fix some stuck valves and prepare an estimate for completing the job. I approved the estimate and he said he would be back out at 7am on Thursday morning to complete the job.

He showed up precisely at 7am on Thursday and immediately got to work. I was still in bed asleep at that time, but he knew what to do and didn't let my laziness hold him back. When I left the house he had already been there working for a couple of hours and he estimated that he would be done later that day. I asked him how he would like to be paid and he said he would just leave an invoice and asked that I mail him a check.

When I got home from work Thursday evening, I had an email from Bret explaining all of the work that he had done (including repairing a few additional items at no charge) and where he left the invoice. He even left a self-addressed and stamped envelope for me to mail the check to him! I immediately emailed him back to express my gratitude and put the check in the mail to him.

In all of my experience with contractors, this one with Bret stands far above the rest. He was responsive, punctual, professional, and very reasonable to deal with. Not only that, he is a nice guy who has a love (like I do) for restoring classic British sports cars. It was really nice to spend 30 minutes chatting with him about MGs! I HIGHLY recommend Bret to be your and quot;Go Toand quot; guy for anything relating to your law sprinkler system.

Bret Williams was excellent. He is honest and professional. He had a mess of a sprinkler system to repair and did it over a three day period. He told us what was wrong and how to best to repair the system to be most cost-efficient for our water bills. He went above and beyond and his recommendations were perfect. I would recommend him highly. His integrity is above reproach.

The service was excellent. The owner we very personable and I followed him around as he did the work. He made sure evrything was done right.

I contacted the company by phone. Company owner does most of the work himself. He was able to schedule me around his current jobs. He arrived when he stated, even giving me a call before arrival. Very polite and professional, work performed quickly by himself. He identified a problem with our system that was beyond the scope of his company. Part of our irrigation system needs to be reinstalled, there is a leak under the pool deck area so we will need to bypass that part. He was honest with his recommendations. The price was very fair. I would highly recommend his services to everyone.

He was very professional and very helpful. He gave me lots of good advice on how to save water and did a general overview of my sprinkler system. I could tell that he wasn't going to offer me any services that I didn't really need. He showed that he was very knowledgeable and fair. He even told me what services that I could do myself to save money. He told me what kinds of replacement sprinkler heads to buy.

It went very well. He was able to fix it and demonstrated to me that all the sprinklers were working after the fix. He also took some time to talk to me about setting up watering cycles

I called Mr. Williams, he came out promptly and did a thorough evaluation of my backyard and gave us a quote for the work. He called the utility companies to come mark our property and came out promptly to do the work after they had done so. He asked my husband to come to the house so he could show him what he had done and explain some extra work that had to be performed due to having to reroute some of the existing lines in the front yard. He also replaced a couple of our sprinkler heads in the front yard with upgraded heads at no extra charge. Some other non-expected work had to be done, due to some dirt getting into some of the lines and my husband told him he would pay for the upgrades to the sprinkler heads and also pay for the extra time it took to get the dirt out of the lines, however Mr. Williams refused as he said he should not have gotten dirt in the lines and stuck to his original quote. That to me shows true professionalism and care for the client. I'm extremely satisfied with the work he did, he's EXTREMELY good at what he does (he did an amazing job on the backyard, figuring out which style of heads are the best and how much water each area needs, based on what landscaping we have already there). I have already recommended him to a friend and I will continue to recommend him to anyone that asks for a "sprinkler guy".
