"I was very overworked at the time and in hindsight should not have bid this job. I frequently come straight from service calls, late in heavy traffic, and dirty; hardly what one would expect from a sales call. The layout of the property was challenging and required a lot of spray heads to meet state code. The property could be adequately if not efficiently watered with a sub standard system at a much lower cost but that is not the quality of work I do. I will try to be more presentable on sales calls and not spread myself too thin in the future."
"Member called me. I heard him fine. When told the price range of $110-$200, he said he did not get it. I repeated twice more, each time he said he did not get it. Call dropped. I looked at my cel each time, maximum bars. I had good signal. I was astounded when he called the next day asking if the work was scheduled with no agreed price. I do very good work and am able to add customers on a very limited basis. Getting back to a call like this will depend on my work load at that time. Current customers take priority. I went over pricing with him at his second call and agreed to do the work. He called later and cancelled, said I was glad he found someone. For the record, I do not schedule work without an agreed on price, in this case $110-$200. It is quite offensive that Member graded my pricing at $200, when repair may have been $110, or $50 less than he paid someone else. My profile states the best way to contact me is thru e mail. I have no receptionist, and do not care to answer phone while driving. An agreed on price and scope of work in an e mail is reassuring to a customer, and me."
"One man, one truck, one phone, one drought. I am overwhelmed. My apologies. 25-40 phone calls a day. Have to take care of current customers first. I am very good at what I do, Angie's list has inundated me. Can do about 3-5 service calls per day. Will not be returning many calls until we have rain. [email protected] is my e mail address. It is easier to respond this way."
