I called and asked how much per hour and was quoted $65 per hour. When asked how long he said he had some one near by. They were there in about 20 min. He met the helper at my location and then said it would be about $300. My reply was this was absurd, $300 for 15 to 30 min labor with minor parts and that I owned 21 rental properties and new a little bit about repairs. He then said he couldn't do it for less than $130 and felt that was fair. I did it because I hadn't called anyone else and my plumber couldn't get there for a couple hours, and I had 12 people in the building without water. I had asked the hourly price because I knew it wasn't going to take much to fix. This is the old story of bait and switch, and I don't think I will use the greensheet again for an emergency.
