Description of Work: My clothes dryer stopped heating. I called this company and they came the same day and fixed it. The service person was pleasant and answered my questions and my dryer was up and running shortly. I am very satisfied with this company. I have no idea whether it was well priced or not, but I am pleased with the service.

Description of Work: Very quick response and said that my Samsung washer repair cost would be greater than the cost of a new machine. So, I took his advice, knowing that he could have easily charged to repair it and then decide that I needed additional repair work that would have ended up costing more than a new machine.

Description of Work: My Maytag gas dryer was spinning but not heating/drying. Jeff (Allens Appliance Repair) checked several things, and found the igniter needed to be replaced. I did not rate the price charged, as I do not know the price range for replacing an igniter. My dryer is working fine, and the customer service is excellent...

Description of Work: Replaced the electronic lid assembly on a top-loading Maytag HE washer. I have also used this company in the past for repair on a Kitchenaid dishwasher. This is a very good service company. | |An extra note about the Maytag washer: don't buy it. It is extremely noisy and I don't think it cleans the clothes as well as an old agitator-type washer.

Description of Work: The dishwaher was making a "funny noise". I called, Danny set an appointment and he let me know, if it was not a "quick fix" what the minimum charge would be, if no repairs were performed. This was fine with me as I would never call someone out to tell me what was wrong with it so I could go fix it myself! Danny looked at the machine, ran a short cycle and apparently the "funny noise" had fixed itself as it has worked fine since he was here. I highly recommend Allen's Appliance! He was prompt, professional and courteous.

+ -1 moreI could not be more pleased! I received service on the same day I called (Monday!) When my cooktop malfunctioned I was worried about finding a quality service provider - Allen's is not my go to for all these needs. I cannot recommend them highly enough!
Description of Work: The ignigter switches on my cooktop went out. Mr. Allen was very knowedgeble and quickly identified my problem. I am especially appreciative that he showed me the problem and walked me through the causes. The work was done in record time for a great price.

+ -1 moreThe price was reasonable; I didn't gasp in horror when he gave me the number. They did the repair in a very timely and efficient manner. It now works fine. I really thought I needed a new door and they cost between $700-$800. He was honest and upfront.
Description of Work: I used Allen's Appliance to fix my dishwasher door. The door was dropping like a guillotine. The cables had broken and I thought I needed a whole new door. They diagnosed the problem and fixed it. They showed me as much as they could. The dishwasher was supposed to be held in the cabinet by four screws and there was only one. They put in the other screws to secure it as a freebie.

Description of Work: Contacted this individual to repair a washing machine. They 'forgot' the appointment. When we rescheduled, they couldn't get a technician to help. When finally pushed, he admitted we were too far and he wouldn't be able to service our machine. I wish he had been truthful upfront and saved us 2 days trouble.

DJ has always advised us on the most cost effective way to approach appliance problems. For example, he replaced only the broken parts of the icemaker which saved us over $100.
