All Star Construction Inc is a third generation family owned business which has performed home improvements in the greater Houston area since 1979. We have been an accredited member of the Better Business Bureau since 1982. All Star is a residential design, build contractor. Not only are we a Houston remodeler, we also service Kingwood, Spring, Pearland, Sugarland, Katy and other surrounding areas. Over the years, All Star Construction, Inc. has earned an unequaled reputation and completed thousands of jobs. Our goal is to make you happy, while building solid, attractive projects for a fair price. We work honestly, ethically and take extra care to satisfy our customers. No anxiety needed! They came and looked over my kitchen, and told me they would call me back with in a week to 10 days with an estimate. It has now been over a month and they have not called me back.

"THIS SITUATION OCCURRED DURING THE CRAZY PERIOD FOLLOWING HURRICANE IKE. WE WERE TRYING TO DEAL WITH HUNDREDS OF CALLS DAILY, POWER OUTAGES AND GASOLINE SHORTAGES. WE WERE HAVING DIFFICULTIES COVERING ALL BASES AND WE DID NOT GET BACK WITH THIS CUSTOMER. WE APOLOGIZE FOR THIS. WE HOPE THAT SOME CONSIDERATION WILL BE GIVEN TO THE SITUATION IN OUR CITY DURING THAT TIME. (THREE WEEKS AFTER HURRICANE IKE HIT.)"

They came and did a second-rate observation. He didn't even get on the roof or measure it. He said I needed a "partial-roof." He wouldn't give me a written quote unless I hired them. The price was very expensive. It was a bad overall experience. They do strictly exterior work.

"OUR REP MET THE MEMBER ON OCT. 1, 2008 ABOUT HURRICANE IKE TREE DAMAGE. WE ARE NOT INSURANCE RESTORATION CONTRACTORS, BUT WE WERE TRYING TO HELP AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE GET STRUCTURAL REPAIR DONE AND ROOFS PUT BACK ON. WE DO NOT DO THE LONG DETAILED ESTIMATES REQUIRED BY THE INSURANCE COMPANIES. WE DO LUMP SOME PROPOSALS WITH THE WORK DESCRIBED IN DETAIL FOR THOSE WHO WISH TO PURCHASE OUR SERVICES. MANY PEOPLE IN OUR AREA WERE UPSET BECAUSE THE INSURANCE ADJUSTERS COULDN'T GET TO THEM QUICKLY AND WERE TELLING THEM TO GET ESTIMATES FROM CONTRACTORS. THERE SIMPLY WEREN'T ENOUGH CONTRACTORS TO MEET THIS NEED. WE DECIDED TO TAKE ON EXTERIOR REPAIR WORK ONLY. WE WERE NOT TAKING ON INSIDE WORK BECAUSE IT WASN'T AN EMERGENCY. WE HAD 3 GIRLS ANSWERING THE PHONES ALL DAY LONG FOR WEEKS AND TOOK HUNDREDS OF REQUEST FOR REPAIRS DAILY. WE SIMPLY DID NOT HAVE THE RESOURCES DURING THIS TIME TO GIVE DETAILED ESTIMATES FOR THE THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE NEEDING THEM (NEITHER DID THE INSURANCE COMPANIES). WE ARE SORRY IF WE OFFENDED ANYONE DURING THIS TIME. WE FOLLOWED UP WITH THIS PERSON BUT RECEIVED NO RESPONSE TO OUR CALL."

"WE BELIEVE THAT PROPERLY SET EXPECTATIONS ARE THE FIRST STEP IN GOOD CUSTOMER RELATIONS. WE DON'T DO SMALL REPAIR JOBS. WE TRY TO EXPLAIN THIS UP FRONT WHEN THEY CALL OUR OFFICE. The workmanship was superb. The time to complete was longer than expected, but given the complexity and detail of the work, it was justified. Workmen and craftsmen were professional and skilled in their area of expertise. A very good job, indeed.

We felt they were a little high on price since they do NO painting or flooring, but heard they did quality work and that was more important. The job was small and took 2 weeks but they insisted on placing a portajohn on our driveway(BIG nuisance for small job)and then had to call ourselves to get it picked up. When a problem arose with measurments, he only gave us only one option which was not feasable since they had already cut our carpet and he was not willing to work with us on it. WE had to figure out the solution and it worked. The project manager, Tim, could get an attitude at the drop of a hat. He would come in and nit-pik at the workers and didn't have good communication skills with them or me. Some of the workers left their trash on our curb and the trashmen only come twice weekly so we would have to pick up the trash ourselves and put into OUR trash cans. The work quality was very good though and we're pleased with the final results, except we had to do the painting!!!

Donald Smith was very professional and gave us a written proposal. He kept in touch with us and answered all questions without us having to chase him down. The crew arrived and performed exceptional work in a timely manner. They tore down the sagging porch cover and calculated the amount the pitch needed to be adjusted for the rebuild. They tore down the old porch and rebuilt the new structure in two days. On a separate day, they cleaned all existing debris, and removed it from the site. They adjusted the pitch, framed the structure, and decked the roof. They also installed hardy plank on the porch sides, the porch ceiling, and matched the existing siding on the front of the house. They installed a new porch light and cleaned up the debris. They did all of this without harming existing shrubs and plants. We had already selected a roofing company who had done previous work for us, yet All Star was able to match the roofer's work on the house so it went together flawlessly.

The workers were extremely nice and courteous. They cleaned up very well and everything turned out accordingly. I did not have to complain one single time, which is unusual. I loved their professionalism and their intelligence as builders. I wish I could tell you the sizes then you would have a better estimate on what it cost. The price was good. It all depends on the size of the place being built and the extent of work they have to put into it. I am very pleased with the way things have turned out here with this job.

I had heard so many nightmares about friends remodeling. So I wasn't expecting the remodeling job to be a walk in the park, but it was about as close to a slow walk as possible. Just like anything in life...if you want it bad enough, you have to just take a few deep breaths & when it's finished, it will be worth it and then some. Not to mention that it has added a TON of value to our home. It's nice to have a kitchen I can REALLY cook in. Plus, the rep from All Star was absolutely realistic...with costs, budgeting, timeliness, dealing with the whole process. On top of that, he gave my husband & I some ideas that we never would have thought of...that make a HUGE difference now. I guess that's why All Star has such a good reputation. Plus, I felt comfortable with them because they've been around for so long & it's a really nice family that runs the place. Couldn't beat it!

100% satisfied! My husband and I were happy with the customer service we received from beginning to end. The contractors who came to the house every day worked quietly and diligently to get the job done as quickly as possible. They did a remarkable job matching the add-on. You can't even tell where the old brick end and the new brick begins. We will definitely use All Star Construction, Inc. For future remodeling jobs.
