Since having All Star take care of my air conditioner and heater I finally feel like I've found someone that is completely honest, fair and thorough! The first time I had Ed come to my house he discovered that another individual from another company had basically sabotaged a wire just enough so I would have to call them back after they had come out for an inspection! From that point forward when Ed comes out I know I will not be overcharged or sold unnecessary parts! What a relief to work with someone trustworthy and treats each customer as he would his own family! I will continue to rely on All Star with my new home and recommend this company for everyone!

Ed from All Star A/C & Heating showed up on time, spent 20 minutes in my attic doing a minor repair and only charged me for a service call. He did tell me the unit showed wear and tear, the heat strips did show mold, and that at some point i should consider replacing the unit as it was installed in 2005 and the technology has changed and soon will be obsolete, but the unit could last several more years with only this minor repair. so i went from getting a $3000 repair cost from the first company to a truthful diagnosis and repair for under $100 from All Star. I am amazed with the honesty and integrity that All Star showed and from now on, they will be my first call. this company deserves to be on Angies List and i would reccomend them to anyone in need of A/C or Heating repairs.

The owner, Ed Newby, came out to do a HVAC diagnostic service for my house. I have three (3) separate units (zones) and a million ducts in my attic. He was able to explain what is what with my HVAC, and give me some great pointers on how to correct a lot of my issues with un-even flow my self. The bottom line is, he was in a position to sell me about $800 to $1,000 in upgrades. Instead, wished me a Merry Christmas and took his time to explain how the system works and what I can do to correct some simple issues that I was having. Wow! Honesty goes a long way in my book, I would definitely recommend them. He was very knowledgable and honest.

Chris from All Star Ac & Heating Services came to the house in June to quote for our air conditioning system replacement. The outside condenser was 21 years old and highly inefficient. Overall I had 5 companies quoting for the same thing and Chris is the only one who tried to sell me what my house really needed. He is the only one who noticed my intake was too small and he suggested to use the old attic fan as a secondary intake which saved a lot of money and time. He is the only one who researched the age of my furnace and explained the benefits of a variable speed system, and why it was not needed for an old house like mine. The team he brought was extremely professional, hard working and courteous, they laid blankets all over the house to keep dirt to a minimum. It took them the entire day, almost 12 hours. It was probably a little longer than they had planned and they stayed until 9pm, however they were extra careful about not making noise because of the baby who was sleeping a few doors down The yard gate was too small for the new condenser and they removed a fence panel at no extra cost. Chris came back after a few days to inspect the work and make sure we were happy with the new system. He adjusted the air flows in the different rooms as we wanted. Then they arranged for the City of Houston inspection. A couple minor things needed to be fixed and the guys came back again and addressed everything. Again very punctual and courteous. After almost six month of using my new AC my power bills are down, the air is more evenly distributed. I will definitely use them again and have recommend them to my neighbors.

Fantastic. If had wanted to, he could easily convinced us the motherboard was fried, but he was extremely honest and pointed out that the wiring around the external unit had frayed from exposure and that a simple replacement of the wires would get the system running again.

Finally an AC company I can trust. Marc initially came (Friday) and diagnosed that our float switch was faulty and was shutting off our AC. He got everything working, ordered the parts and advised he would be back Monday to install. He answered all my questions and didn't try to sell may anything that was not required. This was further confirmed when my AC went out Sunday. I called them Monday morning and Marc came back out with the install team (Christopher & Steve) to install the ordered parts and found that the 4 ton unitary evaporator coil was completely damage. They managed to get the part do all the work on the same day and gave me a discount on the other parts. They then followed up 1 week later to inspect the work before fully charging me. Will be using them for all future AC/ Heating services.

After reading all of their good reviews on Angie's List, I am hoping that All Star will be my go-to for A/C & Heating. Last year I was told by another company that my 20 year old furnace was "old" and that it should be replaced this year and it would cost around $6,000 to replace it. I started asking that technician some questions and advised him in a firm voice that even though the furnace was 20 years old, we had hardly ever used it unless it was really cold in the house and/or if a hard freeze was expected. I guess I must have put him on the spot because he began to back down and say it was still in pretty good shape and he could tell it hadn't been used that much !! That is when I decided not to call that company back ever again. Thanks to Angie's List, I have found an excellent plumber who is HONEST. I was hoping to find the same for A/C & Heating too. After today's visit from All Star, it appears that I have also found an honest A/C company. Their technician Marc came out today to inspect my furnace and told me it was in good shape and passed all of the inspection points. He showed me a picture of the furnace coil and said it was in good shape and I should get many more years out of the furnace. I asked him what makes a furnace go kaput and he said generally when the coil rusts out. I asked him what caused coils to rust out and he said humidity/Houston weather. Marc also asked about my battery operated carbon monoxide alarm (which was dead) and advised me to buy one that plugs into the wall so I wouldn't have to worry about changing batteries. He even showed me where it should be plugged in. I am in the property management business and manage small retail centers. I was happy to find out that All Star also services properties like that. I am looking forward to doing more business with All Star.

My AC had stopped kicking on when the thermostat told it to, so I found All Star on Angie's List & took advantage of a deal for them to diagnose the problem. Ed came by & diagnosed the problem, but he also fixed it & didn't charge me an additional amount. My system is old, so it will need help again, & when that happens I won't hesitate to call All Star.

He said there wasn't a crack in the heat exchanger. It's a scratch caused by a screw driver or other metal object. He explained that my furnace appeared to be in good condition and should last 25-30 years if maintained properly. Also, his cost to replace the furnace with a better unit is half the cost the other company quoted me. He did not charge me for the second opinion.

Appointment was scheduled with no problems. Technician arrived on time. Work was performed in an efficient and professional manner. Technician was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable.

Can only say good things about this company and techs. Multiple family members and I have used All Star several times and we have always been pleased with their work. They know what they're doing, they are on time, and they keep in great contact. Its so refreshing to have a company that you actually TRUST. Would recommend to anyone!

Chris came out and checked out our condenser outside. He let us know that the compressor was not functioning. He gave us two options - good and better. We went with the "better" option and replaced our condenser unit. All Star AC was really great to work with. The best part about working with them is their empathy for a bad situation, caring way in which they offered a solution, and professional demeanor throughout the service call. We have had a tough summer with 5 service calls using a different company. This last failure we HAD to choose someone else and feel very lucky that we found All Star AC. We look forward to working with them in the future - but not too soon! :)

Informed by technician that he would only check one A/C unit for the $59.00 coupon offered. Told us part was covered only and cost to replace was $189.00 for labor. Took 10 minutes. Expensive labor.

Ed came out on Sunday and helped repair a clogged drain line that was leaking through the AC air intake. He was able to diagnose the problem and clean out the line within 30 minutes. He happened to be in the area completing another job before he came over, and didn't charge me anything since he complete the work so fast. I would definitely recommend using All Star AC in the future for any other AC/heating work I may have. They are honest, fair, and well versed in AC repair work.

Chris came out and evaluated my dead system. He got here on time, and did not oversell me. They totally replaced my outside unit, including bringing it up to code with a cement base, as well as replacing the coils, plenum, some venting, etc, and followed up afterwards to balance my air flow. I was VERY impressed with ED and CHRIS, owners, in their honesty, knowledge, fair pricing, and quality work. Russell and his assistant who actually did the work, worked tirelessly in the 104 degree heat for over 14 hours. They all answered so many questions for me. I was impressed also by the follow up by Chris, to come check the installation and balance my air flow. I LOVE MY NEW AC! Thanks so much All Star AC/Heat! Replaced two AC units with new coils and dampers in a 3 story TH. The crews did not finish until late at night and would not leave until complete. Quality check was performed a week later on the installation. After 18 years we have now found a reliable and honest AC company to use.

Came out and balanced the system that the company that did the new installation would not do. AllStar AC also sealed all the leaks around the plenum that was not sealed during installation. Excellent AllStar service.

We were having cooling issues with our AC unit. Got some estimates from other companies including ones from Angies List. The "ONLY' one who ended up being completely TRUTHFUL about what was needed for this job was All Star AC & Heating. From the office manager Tera to the Technician Chris I could not be more pleased. True professionals in every since of the word. Chris explained to me in detail what I needed. I got a great unit for what I needed at a reasonable price. His crew was very tidy before and after the job. If excellent "workmanship" and "honesty" is important to you then give All Star A/C and Heating a call. You will not be disappointed.

The installation process went well. They were on time and stayed late to get the job done. Chris came back about two weeks later to do a service check.

The Technician installed the device in less then 30 minutes and was friendly and informative

A-Mazing You name it, they did it right. Including a two-year labor warranty where most do one year. We will also be using them for service on our existing furnace (20 years old and still working fine according to them) and A/C from here on.

It was great. All Star was very courteous and contacted us right back the morning after we purchased the special on Angie's List. They actually had someone in the area and was able to actually send them over that same day. The service representative was a couple of minutes early and was very efficient. He let us know that our a/c was actually in good shape (which was great to hear since it's 11 years old!) and that it's just taking longer to cool because of the Houston heat. He did say that the way the ductwork was installed in the attic is what was causing the uneven temperatures in the house. We don't need to replace it all, just need to rework parts of it to function more effectively. He was able to give us a general price idea of what it would cost also. we're waiting till the fall to set up an appointment with All Star for the ductwork since we're not in a bind right now.
