This company was very professional and showed up the next day to replace condensor/coil since our a/c unit had been out for 4 days in 95+ degrees heat.  My phone call was transferred to a senior tech and we discussed previous contractor's quote and they installed the same unit for $4,000 less.  They sent out a large crew and installation was quick and efficient.   New unit is working great!
I would recommend them in the future.

Steve, the bidder, was timely and efficient. Unlike a previous contractor who said we needed to replace our 10 year old system, Steve indicated the system was in good working order but the coils needed replacing. Those assigned to install the coils, under the supervision of Kolby, arrived at the designated time, placed tarps on the floor, and wore disposable covers over their shoes to protect the floors. They completed the job in about 2 1/2 hours. A second problem that Steve thought would be solved with the new coils resumed ( a loud thumping noise when the system was  running). I called Steve the following day; he returned that afternoon to investigate the situation. When the system did not make the noise, he remained at the house, checking the outside unit, and waited until the noise resumed. After waiting and ultimately hearing the sound, Steve thought additional fluid in the unit might solve the issue, and though he did not have time to fill the unit, he called a colleague who came and put in the fluid.  In addition, he contacted the manufacturer of the unit, and ordered the module that the manufacturer predicted needed to be replaced. Steve said he would  wait to see if the additional fluid solved the thumping noise before installing the module (which he could return if  it wasn't needed). The noise resumed, and the next day Bryan installed the new module. The module was more expensive than we anticipated, though Steve warned it would be expensive. He was apologetic for the cost, saying that the unit was not being damaged by the sound if we wished to leave it. We chose to install the module. The unit is cooling better than ever and there is no more noise from the unit.
We feel we received the service for which we paid, and are very pleased with Air Tech.

Sched. for 10-2 on T, told to email my list before 5 on Mon. so the techs could plan out their day before. I'm contr. to sell my home & needed things looked at on a report, not a prob. when sched, even spoke to a tech during my call. Tues no showed, was told it was a comp glitche & they re entered me w/ a brief summ to what it was about & said she would attach my email. Weds AM tech spoke to hubby said he would sending the est, @ 4:50 I called. Staff: "Seeing as they are techs they are out in the field & haven't turned in work here yet, they don't do p. work in the field they work & repair!" Me: ok well he emailed us this AM, I was just if he had an est yet, I needed to submit it today S: oh he's been emailing you? Then what do you want from me?! When he finishes we will send it out today" I get it TH, I call cuz only 1 item was looked at on the list M: it's the mid July, we don't have time to follow a list, that's not what was in our comp summ to do anyway!" They came out, but they did not perform the service. He said that the unit was already gone, and not worth really checking it out. We ended up using a different company for the service.

The employee was very prompt and nice. He figured out the problem in about 15 minutes and replaced the part. However, the reason I was so pleased with this company is the customer service. This service was done for my parents, who are not native English speakers. I am not sure if there was a language breakdown, but my parents did not understand what the fees were for. When we researched a capacitor online, we saw that the cost was $40. This seemed like a really high inflation of cost (though after some research, we found this is pretty typical for most companies, not just this one) and I had we known that, we would have paid just for the service fee and replaced the part ourselves. I called the company on my parents behalf to ask for them t take the part back and refund our money. Having dealt with numerous companies, I was geared up for a fight. However, Angela, the representative who answered the phone, was AWESOME and very nice. She apologized for the misunderstanding and after speaking with the owner, they refunded the money. This was honestly, the easiest and most pleasant phone conversation with a company I have EVER had. I would highly recommend this company not only for their knowledge, promptness, and professionalism, but because they treat you like a human being and not a dollar sign. Thank you so much Air Tech of Houston, you have made a lifelong customer out of my family.

It went well, showed up on time, and did a good job checking it out. And a very good technician that checked it out. Also didn’t try to sell me on things I didn’t need. Spent a lot of time with me explaining on how my A/C was working.

Overall the experience was excellent and I would highly recommend Air Tec of Houston to anyone in the area looking for HVAC service. Scheduling an appointment was easy. The technician called prior to arriving and showed up and finished the job on time. He did excellent work evauating both airconditioning units in our house and provided advice for long term care of our system. We had a faulty wire that could've led to long term damage of our system, which he fixed for no additional cost. He also wore shoe covers without our asking, demonstrating how much the company cares about customer service. I couldn't have asked for anything more, and am very likely to use this company long term.

My 13 1/2 year old A/C was creating a leak in the attic, which appeared as a spot on my kitchen ceiling.  I called Air Tech of Houston to inspect and repair the leak.  On Thursday, August 25, 2011, Steve F. with Air Tech inspected the A/C and advised me that there was a leak in the evaporator coil of the A/C, which needed to be replaced.   Steve also inspected the furnace, which was installed at the same time as the A/C when the house was built, and said it was still in good condition and did not need to be replaced.  Steve explained the cost and benefit of installing different A/C units (4 ton, 5 ton, 6 ton).  My wife and I decided that the 5 ton was best for our house.
On Saturday, August 27, 2011, Thomas and a team of technicians arrived at 7 AM (as planned) to install the A/C, which included the unit that sits outside and all of the A/C components in the attic.  They finished at 11 AM.
Everyone I dealt with at Air Tech of Houston was professional and they did very good work.

It went really well. I was very impressed with his knowledge. He thoroughly explained everything and he came out the same day I called him. Turns out I didn't need the big deal, the nice man just tripped my breaker and everything was fixed.

It started to get warm in the house this morning.  Thermostat on setback so its not unusual.  At 11am I checked the air temp coming out of the vents - 85 degrees.  Called Air Tech and they said someone would be out between 12:30 and 3pm same day.  Great.  Joe showed up and was excellent.  He checked the unit and diagnosed that I had a power problem.  This is unusual because this is a three phase power compressor so the lights and fans work but the compressor will not kick in.  He checked what he could on the unit (it's old) and verified the electrical problem.  Had to call Centerpoint for them to replace a fuse on the power pole.

I have to give Air Tech AND Centerpoint kudos for arriving promptly.  Air Tech in 30 minutes and Centerpoint in just over 30 minutes. WOW.  Had t

he unit cooling the house by 3pm.  Wonderful.  Thanks.

They showed up at the scheduled time.  After servicing the furnace the tech showed me some pictures he'd taken of spots that were worn and recommended replacing them.  I told him I was considering replacing my whole HVAC system and he sat with me for awhile and explained all the options and gave me some price estimates.  I ended up going with a different company for replacement as they were cheaper and provided exactly waht I wanted but I would use AirTech in the futures.

Xavier was right on time and I always feel bad when they have to go into the

attic in June in Houston Texas.  He performed all the necessary checks, did

say we definitely needed to have our coils cleaned, which he showed me. I

have a very large air return and have not been able to find the correct size

air filter.  He provided me with that info.

We are calling him back to clean our coils.

Kyle was the tech and was professional and knowledgable about my system.  It took a while to get ELC to the house due to poor weather and conflicting schedules however I am pleased with the service provided.

We bought the house about a year ago. One of two 1970's AC units stopped working. Only minor problem. The Rep (Steve Finely) was totally up front and made no high-pressure to sell us new units. We had 2 new 3-ton nits installed next day. Just one of the old units was pulling 35 amps now with both units running, pool pump the whole house is only pulling 35amps. Installation was FAST and the guys did GREAT! They went out of the way to install new flooring between the 2 furnaces in the attic, rerun the drains & lines and cleaned up the mess left by contractors when both furnaces were replaced - before we bought the house. We were totally amazed -it looks like a new attic. Cost?? We did not get multiple quotes. We felt Steve was being honest and professional with us so we accepted on the spot (also used Angie's List) Later checked online and believe the cost was reasonable and service was GREAT. We are seeing at least a 30% reduction in our electric bill (1 month) - worth the investment!!

Service tech (Chris) was very knowledgeable and friendly.  Answered questions, respectful of indoor space (wouldn't walk in house with muddy shoes).  He wasn't a sales man, but a skilled tech.  He replaced capacitor, replacement cost included under service call out rate of $289.

Our older home had three separate AC units. All of which struggled to cool our home during the hottest months and would have multiple issues each summer. We got several estimates from AC companies last Fall. There was a wide range in recommendations and estimated prices. Airtech was on the high end of the estimate range, but was by far the most professional, and seemed the most knowledgable.  We held off last fall, while trying to get the home warranty service to replace the units, but finally decided not to put it off anymore when one of the units was really acting up. I called Airtech, and asked if they could tell me what the price difference would be from my estimate last fall. They said they would still honor the estimate, if they could do the job that day. I agreed. They sent out a very large team of workers within a few hours. They were all courteous, and very professional. They removed three HVAC units and ducting from the attic of a two story house, and all the outside units. They then installed 2 new HVAC systems and ducting in the attic space, and the new systems outside  ( 2 of the old systems were converted to one "Zoned" system"). The crews did a great job of cleaning up after the job was done.  The only snags were that this older home had smaller attic entrances which made it more difficult to move the older equipment out, and there was some questionable electrical work that they found in the attic from the previous owner. I was blown away at the quality of the AC units they installed, and the quality of all the work they performed.  I have had an electrical contractor come out to fix the electrical issue the Airtech men found, and the electrician told me that the AC install is "a work of art".
My only complaint is that on the initial estimate Steve suggested changing the location of an air return for one of the  AC units as it might improve the efficiency of the system. The lead installer on the day of the job, after looking at the old system felt it did not need to be done. The new system works very well at cooling but now has a little more noise from the air draw through the air return than it use to. If the return had been relocated, the sound would be in an area where it would likely not be as noticeable.  I pointed it out to the lead installer before they left, and he looked through the whole system again, and explained it was do to the limited length of the air return duct ( which is a limitation of the house design). They had actually already taken steps to try and lengthen the duct to limit any noise as much as they could. But he said to just call them back if I wanted them to address it. I will probably call them about it after the holiday. Overall very pleased with the work performed and the equipment installed.
