Work performed in our home, which was a rental house at the time while we were living abroad, so I (the owner) was unable to see or verify the quality of the job as it was completed in May.  I have several complaints/issues with the way this was handled.  1) As I was outside the country, I requested a scanned copy of the invoice two times when I was speaking with the office on the phone, and the administration personnel in the office never sent me a copy.  
2) Upon arriving at the house july 9th, approx. 2 months after the work we discovered a very poor job.  The A/C was not cooling properly (prompting the immediate inspection), and when the attic portion of the unit was inspected, it was noted that where they had cut an inspection hole in the transition section which was not repaired properly.  It appeared they tried to use metal duct work tape to secure the hole.  This had totally blown off and the unit was blowing a tremendous amount of air into the attic. The transition section should have been replaced and installed properly.  
3) Additionally, the evaporator coil was not securely installed and had fallen a little causing significant leaks between the transition and the coil.  4) The coil was not installed at the correct angle either, so it did not drain properly.  
5) The freon copper low pressure cool lines in the attic were left with insulation missing and not taped properly, so they dripped water onto the attic floor and insulation (if left unattended could have caused water damage to our sheet rock ceiling below this area of the attic) .  6) They also left a lot of their trash from the work in my attIc, another sign of unprofessionalism.   What a very unprofessional job in all respects. The people that performed the work at my home do not seem to have any respect or care for the customer and the customer's property.
What is sad is that I am happy to pay higher prices to get quality work, but this is higher prices and unprofessional workmanship.  
I have cut my losses and moved on to try another company, too bad the industry is plagued with this type of customer experience.

Checked. Nothing needed. Found freon levels ok. The cost of $179 includes coming back in the fall for Fall check of heaters. Will use again and recommend to others.

Units were installed in a timely professional manner. Serviceman thoroughly explained how to use new thermostat. Installation took one day and about an hour the next morning.

Very prompt, very courteous, didn't try to sell expensive services or equipment. Just fixed the problem quickly for a reasonable price.

The service and professionalism were great.  Minimum charge for showing up on Saturday was $89, which i was fine with.  it took 1hr 15min from the time the tech called me until completion.  I was charged $175.  the bill charges $89 for showing up then itemizes charges for everything the tech looked at.  I thought that was strange, maybe it is normal, i don't know.  I thought the cost would be $89 per hr with $89 minimum but it ended up being a lot more.

Our air conditioner was not keeping up with the thermostat setting.  The honest advice and quick service that the Airchampions technicians gave us is invaluable.  We are new to Angie's List and are very happy with our first experience.  Thanks Angie!

The price was competitive as it included a maintenance on two A/C units now and on the furnace in the fall.  The only thing that bothered me was how quick the service was. I did not accompany the tech into the attic so cannot verify his work. I can say that we have had no problems since the service was performed. I would probably use this company again as I can find no fault with the work performed.

Air champion sent Daniel on may 29, to repair our broken air comditioner. We received several calls, advising us of when Daniel would arrive. He was within the times given and did a wonderful job. The motor to the fan was gone. Daniel told us that it might be a day before he could get the factory part. We were very surprised when we received another call, telling us that Daniel was coming back the same day to complete the repair. Daniel was very efficient, professional, and sympathetic. To say that he was a lifesaver would be an understatement. We have used Air Champion for the last seven years. They NEVER fail!

We have use them for about 5 years. They've done a good job keeping our old unit and replacing any other unit. AirChampion has a wonderful staff. They are good about getting out there and serving you as quick as possible.

I was so impressed that I signed a maintenance agreement with them and they now service me every six months. They were awesome. The guy was very pleasant and very helpful. He answered all my questions and did a really good job. Their prices were in line with everybody. They were very responsive and punctual. I would use them again.

This being Thursday the Service was tentatively scheduled for Monday but the technician came the same day of my service call. Absolutely no problems from start to finish. Naturally, water was not dripping much at all for the tech to see it, but he did his best to cover all the bases and fix the problem. The entire job took about an hour.

They have good communication skills. They are prompt which is really important to me. I haven't had any problems with my air conditioning that they haven't been able to fix or warn me that I need to fix. They are good, thorough and on time. They are a good value because I have looked around a little bit.

Overall it went well and I was able to use the $100 Angies List coupon. I got what I asked for, for roughly the price quoted, and the workmanship was good. AirChampion was the least expensive of 3 bids I got for this project and all three bids were within $400-500 of each other. Luckily the least expensive came with the best design advice so I went with them. Ronnie was able to provide better design suggestions than the other contractors that bid on this project. AirChampion originally bid $2600 and the bill ended up at $2800 for two items that were added later. The remaining $135 was for some grills I ordered so all grills in the house would match. I didn't track this exactly but they worked about 50 man hours on my job so the rate per hour after taking into account material is reasonable for a 2 day job. They also assigned a project manager/supervisor to my job and were able to bring out 5-6 people out on the first day so this could be done quickly. I'm also glad they worked on a Saturday so I didn't have to take off work.

They had a very good price. They were in and out quickly. They offered a guarantee on their work and were very prompt and professional. My a/c is back to working great. They were also able to fix the air flow in one of my rooms.

I contacted Airchampion to have them diagnose the problem with a non-functioning attic A/C unit. The AC technician that came out to diagnose the problem (for no charge) gave me two possible problems, and a way to test which one would be the culprit. One of the possible culprits (blocked primary drain line) turned out to be the correct problem, so I arranged to have Airchampion come out and perform the repair (other technicians from other companies had misdiagnosed the problem). The technician showed up and cleared the clog, and also installed a new connection valve near the unit to make future line maintenance easier (he recommended pouring a bleach/water solution down the line every few months), which I appreciated. The A/C unit was able to start back up and appeared to be running fine. After the technician left, I left my house to go back to work. When I came home that evening, I quickly realized that there was water dripping from the ceiling in two places below where the A/C unit was. I went up into the attic and realized that the new connection/valve that the technician had installed was leaking profusely, and had been all afternoon. I called Airchampion, and they sent another technician out that evening (it was approximately 2-3 hours later, but they did come that day), who was able to quickly fix the leaking connection. He informed me that Airchampion would handle the repair to the damaged drywall, and that someone would contact me in the next couple of days to arrange the repair. I received one call from Airchampion that the person responsible for handling those repairs was out of the office, but would call me back in a couple of days. I then had to play phone tag with Airchampion for the next couple of weeks, but finally, they did send a company out to repair the ceiling (at a time convenient for me). The repair work was done very well, and quickly, and as promised, I did not have to pay for it. I was extremely frustrated that the first repair was done so poorly and that it took so long to get my ceiling fixed, but in the end, Airchampion did take care of the problem.

We liked Air Champion. They were right on time. Did just what they said they would do and did not try to sell me things I did not need. Only one mix up. We set up an appointment for them to come out between 1-4. I had given them my cell phone number. My wife made it a point to be home between 1-4. I was on an airplane with my phone. Before they come out they call the phone number. I guess if there is no answer they dont come, at least that is how it appears. When I got to my destination at 7 pm I had one message on the phone that they had called about 2:30. I called my wife and she said they did not come and she called them about 4:30. By then she had to schedule for the next day. So make sure you have your cell with you. I really dont consider this a real negative. I am sure they make a lot of wasted trips across town to an empty house. I can respect this. However, if this is their policy I would have liked to have known this in advance. I dont remember the person on the phone mentioning anything about this when I set up the appointment. Other than that mixup they were just great and would use them in the future.

I found a leak on our ceiling and called Airchampion figuring it was related to drainage from a/c. Joel was prompt and eager to resolve the problem. After cleaning out our drain pipes, he gave helpful tips by showing me how to blow out the drain pipes every 2 months with bleach to avoid future problems. It appears that the problem has been completely resolved. Excellent experience. Joel was easy to communicate with and a terrific help!

Everything went fine. We have an air balance problem. The Airchampion tech offered a solution that three or four other previous technicians never mentioned. This makes the most sense to us so we will follow up with them in the future.
