We were never able to install the attic cover, it is still sitting in a closet and was a waste of $149.00. I would still love to return it.

A Affordable sent a subcontractor out to our home and told him to "caulk around the skylights and to do nothing else" per the subcontractor. The company stated that "their guy" said that he caulked around the skylight, checked the flashing and shingles, and nothing else was wrong. Note in the picture, he also left a good amount of debris on the roof. We knew exactly what was wrong, asked them to fix it, and they charged us $1,050.00 and didn't perform the work needed. Chase promised to come out to inspect on Saturday, but then called and said he couldn't make it so he would send his roofer back out on Monday if it didn't rain. The skylights leaked on Monday when it rained. We now have water damage to a sofa because we relied upon their word that the leaks were fixed. They are refusing to refund the money, so if they can't get this roof repaired right on this next visit, I guess we will have to go to small claims court. Buyer beware especially with all the bad weather we've had in our area. I would put this company in the same category as those fly-by-night folks that will swoop in and steal you blind.

Although I am happy with the company and the service installation, the amount of air flow that was achieved with 3 of the fans was less than I expected.  I did not notice a big difference in my attic heat after the installation.  Giving them an A rating though as the service was good.

I think that he did absolutely crappy. We had one thing that needed to be looked at and he claimed that he had re-caulked it. I went out the next week and took pictures and miraculously there is no caulk at all. You can see from the ground that there is no caulk. There also is a flange that is warped upwards that diverts the water back onto the roof and you can see there is no caulking on it. It can be seen from the ground by a layman. So, as an attorney, I actually intend on suing him. Not only for the money that we paid him but for the damage that was done the next time it rained and came through the hole that he would have fixed if he had done what he said he was going to do. He supposedly put several extra nails in some roof. I mean, this is something that you can see from the ground.  I called them and told them I wanted to talk to a manager and never heard anything back from them. The only thing I was trying to get my office to do is figure out if they were a DBA or a corporation in several local counties because I plan on suing them as soon as I have free time. It actually caused the sheet rock in the ceiling of the bathroom to break which then had to be re-plastered and re-textured. It had to have parts to hold that up. It was an complete pain in the derriere and that is the whole reason I got the service to be able to fix that one thing. They came out the next week after I purchased the service. That was a rent house. I was not out there when the guy did it. He did not do anything regarding why we wanted him out there. If he had done what he was supposed to it would be fine. I called them and I have never heard from them on Angie's List and I have never heard back from the manager. I assume he was here on time. My advice to others is to not use this company. Even if he had done his job there would not have been a mess.

It went wonderful.  We have peace of mind that our roof is still in good condition and that the leak was caused by deterioration of the flashing around the skylight, which was an easy inexpensive fix.  Appreciate their quick response.  Very honest company and pleasant workers.  Would hire again. (Sorry it took me so long to give review.  I believe my Angies membership had expired and I failed to renew until now.

After I accepted a quote provided by contractor, I was contacted by their sales rep to tell me that they'd be at my house on 8/20/2015 around 9a to begin installation and it would take probably two days to complete. My husband and I both took the day off work to be there. Around 1030a the morning of the install we still had not seen or heard from anyone. Considering the weather (raining) I called to see if they were perhaps running behind and I was told that we weren't on the schedule for that day. Sales rep made a phone call to their logistics folks and then advised me that they had a glitch in their system and for some reason my installation was never put on the calendar -- 1st Strike
Crew comes on Saturday, 8/29/2015, and when we inquire about how long it will take, we were told a few hours because one of the crewmen had to be home by 2p. So now a two day job has turned into a few hours...certainly cause for concern on the quality of work I may be getting. The crew gets started and within a couple of hours, the operation has shut down. A hose from the tanks that mix their chemicals to make the foam comes disconnected somehow and spills on my driveway (mind you our home is only a year old) leaving behind a 3'x2' dark brown stain. Now common sense would tell you not to walk into the brown spot so you're not spreading it, but not only did they walk through it, leaving brown footprints on my driveway, but they also drove through it causing ark brown tire treads to run down the length of my driveway. Lo and behold, this crew tells us that they cannot get a replacement hose to finish the job that they were supposed to start the week before AND the chemical that they spilled on my driveway could not be removed. They tried to power wash it and even used some sort of cleaning agent with the power washer and it did not fade the spot at all. -- 2nd Strike.
The same crew returned to my home on 9/4/2015 to do the foam installation; which was a TWO DAY JOB. All the while, there is a rep/owner/crewman of this company that is discussing with us what they plan to do about our now ruined driveway. We asked that they replace our driveway and they made it clear that really was not an option. So they found stain to top our driveway. They sent samples and websites and we read about them and voiced our concern that we felt like this would be a temporary fix and we'd end up having to replace the stain, at our expense, a few years down the road. They proceeded to find another stain that they claimed was the best of the best. I wanted to insist that they replace the cement driveway, but my husband was willing to let them put a sample of the stain down so we could see what it was like and we'd decide from there. They proceeded to do half the driveway and then asked what we thought (not really a sample) to which my husband said it looked like [expletive] but it was made clear that this was all they were willing to do to fix their mess. Our driveway remained half done for two weeks and as of Thursday, 10/29/2015, they came out and completed the remaining portion of the driveway and our sidewalk to the front door (2 month ordeal) -- 3rd Strike and you're OUT!
My husband received a call from the owner (who never came to our home to see the damage to our driveway or apologize in person) when the spill first happened to convince my husband that they would "make right by us" on the price if we followed through on the installation and they would fix our driveway. Well at the end of all of this, they did fix our driveway, although not like we'd like for them to have fixed it, and then had the audacity to text my husband the day that they completed the driveway (2 months later) to tell him that the stain cost them $2,000.00 and asked if they could get paid now. We asked that an invoice be sent to us and I can assure you that the owner did not "make right by us" on anything. Even charged us 2% for using our credit card for payment. I fully intended to pay for the work done, but they did drag a two day job out for two months and caused a huge mess during the process. You'd think it would benefit them to give a slight discount for the inconvenience and hassle in order to have you (the customer) let the world know that although they messed up, they "made right by it"!!! Instead, we're reminded that WE cost them $2,000.00!
I would have gladly given this contractor "F - LOUSY" but the foam has been a nice addition to our home. However, after all the issues and hassle (not to mention our lost time from work) from this contractor, I cannot in good faith recommend them to anyone that I know. And just a side note, I read reviews before I hired them and saw a couple of reviews that complained about them not showing up on time and even a report to the BBB, but I felt like the reviews were old enough that they had probably gotten their act together and it was safe for me to use them...JOKES ON ME I GUESS!

Perfect. The contractor arrived on time and was in and out in maybe 30 minutes. Since this has been nearly two years ago, I can say that the insulated access door has made a tremendous difference. Our hallway, where the attic door is located in the ceiling, used to be hot in the summer and freezing in the winter. You could stand there and feel the hot or cold air coming through. Since our HVAC thermostat is located just under it, this caused big problems. Now, there is no air leak at all and the temperature in the hallway and adjoinging rooms has normalized.

They showed up on time and quickly installed the attic fan.  it's solar powered, so I won't need to maintain it or use electricity to run it.
The house does not seem as hot or muggy since the installation, but I don't really have any proof that it's working or how much electricity it is saving other than the upstairs seems a little more comfortable.
They didn't do the energy efficiency evaluation.

I bought a big deal for this service and they did a good job, They did the work on a Friday and somebody stepped on my air conditioning wire and they did not get it fixed until Monday so we were without air conditioning for the weekend. There was some additional square feet that ended up being charged. I think it ended up being an extra $600 on that which was part of the deal. The work was good; it was just that don't do it on a Friday. They showed up when they said they could, but they were not available over the weekend.

Sales representative showed up on time for the appointment and was cordial and professional.  Did not pressure me to upgrade to the more expensive options and recommended practical options for improving insulation and energy efficiency in my home (my house is only 15 years old, but had about 7 inches less insulation than current building codes and the attic was not well-ventilated).
The crew showed up an hour early, was courteous and professional and completed the job in a couple of hours.  I inspected the attic and was happy with the condition of my attic and the work.  They put plastic down to protect the floors and then cleaned up after themselves when they left.  I would recommend to others and would hire again - considering a installing a radiant barrier in the future as well.

Was suppose to give me an estimate for roof replacement and never heard of anything, 2 weeks after work was done I called to request for estimate again and he said he will email it to me, up to this day still no estimate. Work was done but the leakage continued with no improvement, it was like nothing was done at all.
