Arbor Masters Tree Service

They were incredibly professional from start to finish.  The team members were so polite, professional, and hardworking. I was so impressed with the equipment they showed up with. I had several different providers that gave estimates but this particular provider was extremely wonderful. They were taking out my big trees and a fantastic job.  They cleaned up the mess like they were never there.  I would use them again and would highly recommend therm to others.

Someone came out one day to give me an estimate for all that could be done within the price of my coupon. They showed up the next day, trimmed trees, and hauled branches away. Very nice. Probably would not use them again because their prices are bit too high

On first phone contact I reached the office and arranged an estimate.  Glenn returned my call two days later.  We met for estimate.    He was on time.  We agreed on price, a tentative start date nearly four weeks out due to his schedule, and the 3-4 days the job would take.  We agreed I would not be present during the job, but he would call me to reconfirm start date and if expected timeline needed adjustment.  Glenn knew I found Arbor Masters through Angie's List reviews and I was expecting to give a great review when the work was completed.  
My biggest disappointment with this job was lack of communication and followup.  I called A.M. several times before getting confirmtion of start date, then several calls to request completion of work, then more calls due to incorrect billing.  Example:  I returned from work on  THU, 17MAY to find 2 stumps in the yard;  I assumed the stumps would be removed the following day.  It didn't happen on FRI or the following MON or TUE nor did I receive a call.  It took a few days to get a call back from Glenn.  The stumps were finally ground  but neither the oleanader nor crepe myrtle were trimmed as agreed.  There was only 1 of each, not a big deal, but it was in the work order and should have been done.  When I finally spoke to Glenn again he explained the 'finish team' was a different person and he would set up for finish work to be completed.  It took a total of 8 weeks from start to finish, but only after many calls on my part. 

They arrived on time, finished the work in a timely manner.

They were very responsive and punctual. The work was done efficiently.
There were a few branches that needed to be cut after their first trip
out, so they came back promptly and took care of things. Will definitely
use them again.

Arbor promptly responded to my call, inspected the site and gave me an cost estimate that day. Subsequently the called me and said that they could actually do the work sooner than originally planned; would I like to do that? They showed up on time and cut down a large tree to the ground level, removed all of the rubbish, and carted it away. Perfect! As they were leaving they thanked me for my business. I no longer have to ask for competing bids. Arbor Masters has earned my business.

I had them come out and give an estimate. They were going to charge me an additional $750. I decided to get a refund. They were professional and on time, but the price was very high.

Glen came out and gave the estimate, and work was scheduled.  I felt really good having an arborist directing the work to be done. I was concerned about having the oak trees pruned before a freeze, for fear of oak wilt.  He assured me that this was not the primary time that oak wilt spreads, and that any large cuts made on the oaks would be sealed with pruning paint. (He also mentioned that there was a tree right down the street that he had diagnosed  with oak wilt.) When the crew came out on a Tuesday to do the job, they were friendly, respectful, and informative.  They went right to work, and worked all day.  We have 3/4 acre and LOTS of trees.  They could not finish that day and said that they would be back on Saturday to complete the job. On Thursday, I noticed a fairly large cut on an oak tree (12 to 15 inches in diam.) that had not been sealed.  I knew that it was too late for pruning paint at that time, to protect it from oak wilt.  They were back on Sat. and finished the job before noon.  I did mention to the head of the crew about the missed pruning paint.  He said that it was too late, now to do it.  I knew that and just hope that we don't have any problem. They cleaned up very nicely.  Glen had mentioned on his visit that one tree had a "girdling root".  He did not write that up in the estimate, but I thought that he was going to take care of it when they came to do the job.  I never saw Glen after the initial estimate, and the "girdling root" did not get taken care.  I did not have time to  watch things very closely, and was disappointed that the root and the pruning paint did not get done.  Aside from that, i was very pleased with the job that they did and felt that the price was reasonable. 

They did a great job. They were very efficient and professional. The Arborist came out before the crew and gave me some advice. They were very reasonable for the knowledge they have. I would use them again if they were where I live now.

They did a little more work than they were supposed to which was nice. It was the first time I had used them. They were friendly and professional.

They came out and gave an estimate, we scheduled when the work would be done.  They came out as planned.  Work was completed in a timely manner.  Very pleased with the estimate, work and service.  We will have more work done in the future.

It was great. Very quickly, within an hour they were finished.

The Arborist Glen Jennings made an appointment to come and bid the job.  I was very impressed with him and immediately accepted the job.  He did tell me that their schedule was very backed up due to the recent storm, as did also the secretary, Amy.  So I was fully aware in advance of the time frame that the work would take place.
Amy kept me informed the whole time.  When the date was set and confirmed - the men arrived on time (I was late!).  They did a great job and at the close asked me if there was anything else I saw that needed attention.
I was very pleased with the work.

Work was quick, well done and they cleaned up afterward.

I received 3 bids, and ArborMasters was not the cheapest, but seemed the most thorough, so I went through them.  Scheduling the actual work was a pain.  Apparantly they were having computer issues and it took 2 weeks of me calling to get our date and time scheduled.  Their receptionist was very apologetic about the situation.  We finally got our date/time scheduled (8:30-9:00ish on Friday), and by early afternoon they had not shown up.  I called to ask where they were, and the crew showed up within an hour of the call.  Once the crew arrived, they did excellent work.  I was very happy with the actual service, and my bill met the estimate.  I just thought the scheduling should have been easier, and it would have been nice if they had shown up close to on time, or had called to give a new time estimate.

We first contacted them back in April to get a quote and they were very responsive.  However, when calling to actually order the service, we left a message with no return call for a few weeks.  After talking with the office manager and understanding their computer issues in the office, it was understandable to some degree but now that everything is working in their office, their responsiveness is back to being good.  The crew was very professional and definitely knew what they were doing!

Three of the four full service trees were done well but the remainder of the trees were disappointing. Part of the problem may have been communication between the foreman and myself however, when I mentioned my disappointment at the end of the job, they had already cleaned up and put away their tools and he was very reluctant to do more. I did not push the issue. The major part of my disappointment is the result of discussing the process with my next door neighbor who had his trees trimmed just days before me. He had paid a well-know tree service just $750 to fully trim ELEVEN trees of similar size to mine and remove a twelfth. In addition, at the end of the job I asked the foreman if he had damaged any of my landscaping and is answer was a confidence inspiring "I don't think so". I pushed him on it and all he would say was "we tried our best not to". I took time the next day and found significant damage to two of my plants. Needless to say, the next time I have tree work done it will be with my neighbors contractor.

Glen came out very prompty and gave us an estimate for the work.  Amy, the office secretary, is hard to get in touch with and is not good at returning calls. She forgot to put us on the schedule several times but Glen had us on his so thanks to him the job was done on time after rescheduling due to rain. They trimmed and cleaned up all the branches. You couldnt even tell there had been a huge pile of leaves and branches on the lawn. The trees look great. Would use them again, just be sure to get Glen's number and go through him.

I called to get an estimate on the removal of 2 arbor vitaes that were overgrown. They drove by in a couple of days while I was at work and called me with an estimate. He mentioned that there was some dead wood on one of my oak trees that needed to be cut, and he would do that, remove the arbor vitaes, haul off the branches, and grind the stumps for $750. I agreed to the quote, and low and behold I come home from work 2 days later and the work had been completed. The entire process was pain free. I plan on asking for a quote for more work in the near future.

Scheduling and working with the office took a lot of work on my part.  Asked for a quote and was told someone would come out the week of 4/23.  As of 4/28 no one had showed, spoke to Glenn and he said he would look into it and call back.  5/30 I called again and was told someone woudl come on 5/1 and they did.  We received the quote for quite a few things and decided to use them for the most urgent project, trimming the tree from the roof.  We were told they were scheduling about 2 weeks out. 5/8 I emailed in the signed quote and heard nothing until I called on 5/14 when I was told the earliest the work coudl be done was June 1.  I pointed out that I was told 2 weeks so Amy said she would check the schedule and get back to me.  She called back and said the work would be done on 5/22.  May 22, no one showed up.  I called at 3p, Amy said someone should be there and she woudl call me back, I didn't hear from her.  I called on 5/23, she said she wasn't sure what happened and would call back.  5/24 I emailed to see if I could cancel the work and received a call indicating I could but that they would be there to do the work on 5/28  - hoping to just check this off the list, I said ok.  I receievd a vm around 8am on 5/26 offering to come that day, I called back at 9a and said please do, that would be great, no show.  So, 5/28, they showed up to do the work as scheduled on 5/24.  The crew was WONDERFUL.  Very nice, professional, friendly and did a great job doing the work and even took away some extra brush we had waiting to go out to the street on pickup day.  Ultimately I had a good experience with the actual work being done but the time I wasted trying to understand what was going on with scheduling was ridiculous.  I checked that i wouldn't use them again but I might - I just wouldn't want to go through the hassle of dealing with the "front office" to understand when someone would actually show up.  I'm sure that they were busy with the Angie's List big deal (we had one we used too) but they just needed to be up front about that and better manage the schedule and expectations.

I contacted Arbor Masters to come inspect a tree and provide an estimate for treatment or to have it cut down. At first, I was very pleased. The project manager contacted me by phone and had the drive by estimate moved up a week due to another customer's cancellation. The aborist came out on Tuesday, 5/22. However, two days went by and I didn't receive an estimate by email or on my door step. I contacted the project manager by email on 5/24 to inquire about the estimate. She apologized and promised she would look into it. By May 30th, I had not heard back from them. I contacted the project manager by email the evening of 5/30. She emailed back that same night, apologized, and promised to look into the matter the next day. On 5/31, she emailed back and said she spoke with an aborist that is looking into it. She said she would call when she found out more information. It's not 6/4 and I still haven't heard back anything. I'm very dissapointed because this company has good reviews and I feel for some reason they don't want my business. I also take it personally because I allowed the aborist to come on my property and dig around my tree while I wasn't home.

We had some wind in the area so they were not able to come, but were able to reschedule. When they did come they butchered the tree. We told them that we wanted all of the dead wood cut out of the tree. My wife also told him that part of the tree goes over to the neighbor's yard and we wanted that to be cut back a bit as well. They said that some of this work would be extra, but we had already described the work to them ahead of time and were told that it was all included in the original quote.

They did a great job and were very quick and cleaned up nicely
