A-Tex did a great job diagnosing and fixing a broken light switch that controlled the porch light.  But this was not just a matter of replacing a switch.  The previous home owner had hidden a remote control device that was wired into the electrical circuit that controlled the light switch.  Apparently the previous home owner "MacGyver'ed" a home security setup from parts from radio shack and whatnot.  Needless to say, I never would have found the hidden controller on my own.  A-Tex figured it out fairly quickly and got it all straightened out.

He was fabulous! He diagnosed and repaired it very quickly. He was quite personable and professional. I would recommend him.

We had out of town guest due to arrive the next day.  A ?Tex rearranged their work schedule and worked us in early morning before our guest arrived. Saved the day! Excellent service and would recommend to friends.

Outlets not working, fixed them

Bruce and his assistant arrived promptly and immediately got to work. Bruce replaced the recessed light with a pendant while his assistant work outside replacing the motion light. They were both friendly, worked efficiently, and cleaned up after themselves. Bruce honored his Angie's List discount without me printing out the coupon. I would definitely use them again and actually already have. Plus, they got along with my dog!

Bruce and his assistant Josh are very professional and  fast workers. Bruce made a recommendation for my kitchen lighting that saved me money. They will be returning in a few weeks to hang a chandelier.

The two electricians worked as a team, utilizing valuable time and existing materials, in under two hours.

With regard to the indoor outlet issues:  I learned a lot from Bruce about codes that a previous contractor did not follow when the quad outlets were installed.  His work was completed in timely manner and the cost was reasonable.  The work areas were very tidy, not even a tiny wire cutting was left behind.

The outdoor project wiring required trenching and working with the pond contractor's schedule as well.  Bruce was very collaborative in scheduling his time to make sure his part was complete as needed.  Our project required more than one trip and there were no additional charges.  While approximately 50 feet had to be trenched for for the additional wiring, it was done with minimal invasiveness and covered neatly.  Of note is that the pond project morphed a bit after Bruce's initial bid.  He adjusted the final cost to reflect that change and it was $200 less!

Overall, the experience was great!  Although an appointment time wasn't set when I made my initial call, Bruce was able to fit me in a couple of days later.  Called about an hour ahead of arrival and came when promised.  He and his assistant Joshua worked together to get the installation done in about an hour (initial estimate was two hours).  A few bits of wire and debris left on the ground, but otherwise a very clean job.  Would hire them again!

Bruce did a fantastic job. We originally hired him to replace a defective light switch and install a lighting fixture. In working on the switch Bruce noticed that one of our electrical outlets looked "burned" and investigated the cause. It turns out that all of the electrical outlets had been installed in an incorrect and unsafe manner by the original builder. Bruce replaced all of the electrical outlets in our home and we now feel much safer. He was prompt, courteous, helpful, and took the time to explain what he was doing and why. We will definitely use him again in the future.

The job went very well. The 240V line had to be run from the main panel at one end of the house to the other end of the house and out several feet to the hot tub on the patio. The work was done very neatly and in a timely manner. The hookup at the main panel also involved moving breakers to an existing sub panel to make room for the hot tub breaker. The line was run up into the soffit, through the attic and out at the other end. A power interrupt was mounted at the exit side of the house with the line running on to the hot tub. As mentioned the work was done very neatly. My only complaint was finding residual trash from stripping wires and other assorted pieces of paper, etc. But, I would hire them again in a heartbeat for any future work, and would recommend them to everyone. Both gentlemen were polite, friendly and obviously quite knowledgable.

Bruce was very professional. He arrived on the day he promised and showed up on time. He's friendly and very knowledgeable in his trade and he is reasonably priced. On Bruce's first visit to our house, he successfully corrected some complex switch problems we had due to weird wiring done by the builder of our home. During this process, he rewired and replaced several broken switches, and checked to make sure our wiring is safe. We liked him so much that we called him back to install 3 ceiling fans and 4 outdoor light fixtures. We are going to call him back this summer to install more lighting fixtures. He is awesome!

I had lots of little things piled up over time & part of their advert was saying no job was too small. The electrician was on time, was polite and low key (no plumber's crack, chewing tobacco, non-PC remarks, etc.), didn't "slack" at any point, and was even able to work around my last minute decision to have all of the fixtures in the kitchen replaced instead of just one (I zoomed over to HD). I was completely happy with the work itself, and it was completed in a little under 3 1/2 hours. In addition to the excellent work, what will bring me back again, is the consideration I got between the time I placed the first call and the time a firm appointment was made. Once she knew what all I wanted done, Karen called me off and on to let me know when it looked like they would be able to get to my house. Once a firm appointment was set up, it was met. I missed no work waiting for someone to show up.

This is the second time A-Tex has done electrical work in our home. They are very professional. Bruce is an excellent communicator--he answers his phone, returns calls, and shows up exactly when he says he will. He is courteous and friendly--great to work with.
