Mr. Duncan was professional and knowledgeable and offered various solutions.  Ultimately it was determined that is was cost prohibitive to try and clone the HD over to a new one due to the unknowns of whether the existing HD would survive the clone process.

The W key on my keyboard had been sticking for months.  I had tried to clean it multiple times which helped for a little while, then it went back to sticking.  Finally, while cleaning, the key broke off and the area beneath the key was unresponsive.  
I was afraid that I might just have to get a new laptop at a time when I really didn't want to have to do so.  However, when I called James, he put me at ease and let me know that it would simply be a matter of replacing the keyboard.  He went out of his way to look around town to find a local vendor that had the keyboard in order to reduce my down time.  Within two days, he had a new keyboard purchased and installed on my laptop, quickly, efficiently, and affordably.  I will be using James in the future and I have no problem recommending Geek on the Go to others!

He did a good job but I did not get a receipt. He was pretty good at communicating with me and arranging service. The price was reasonable and he got back to me in a reasonable amount of time.

AWESOME!  After the visit with the Geek Squad, and knowing my husband had lost a lot of business data and information that would take a very long time for us to research and re-create, I felt awful.  Gave the hard drive to James and within a few hours - SCORE! What a relief to have the valuable information and know that it is backed up - James even set it up to save to the back-up drive on a regular basis - I hadn't been able to figure out how to do that.  James is a life saver...or at least a computer and business saver! 

Mr Duncan arrived approximately on time, asked what problems I was having, and began work immediately. Even though I'm a "zero" when it comes to understanding computers, he was obviously very knowledgeable and professional. Explained why
I was having some of the problems due to no longer available updates; why I would be forced to upgrade within a year or less.
Fixed everything possible and explained why not on the impossible. I will definitely call him to set up new computer and transfer
data from this old one. (This computer is actually only 2 yrs old; was built for me by FORMER computer tech as I wanted XP, but has been nothing but expensive trouble from day one.)

I called James Duncan and told him what had happened to our computer.  James came to the house and cleaned the nasty virus off our computer and got us up and running again in a short amount of time.  We have called James a couple of other times with computer issues and highly recommend him to repair computer problems.  James is very knowledgeable and arrives at your house when he says he will.  Being knowledgeable and punctual is a big plus with me!

Arriving promptly at the appointment time, he appeared professional and was courteous.
He worked quickly and quietly.  The work place was left clean and neat.
The price of the work was influenced by James minimum charge.

I was pleased with Mr. Duncan's assistance, fairness and professionalism. He helped me get a task done and went over it so I would be able to perform the procedure in the future.

James came to my home to work on a laptop and a desktop.  I had been having problems with my computers running very slow and crashing so I purchased "System Mechanic" from Office Depot in the hope that this would solve my problems.  Unfortunately, although it did seem to speed up the workings of the computers, it apparently changed some settings that resulted in my not being unable to connect to the internet wirelessly.  This was with both computers.  While attempting to find some settings on the laptop to repair this problem I got the computer to not work at all.  James came in, diagnosed the problems and got both machines running like new.  I WILL be using him again as well as recommending him to others.

James was here about two and a half hours and things went very well.  He worked on two computers, removing several serious viruses & installed better virus protection on both.  He was very professional in his work.

Mr. Duncan was very professional. I needed someone who know Windows 7; as old data was from W-XP. W-7 is very difficult to transfer saved files/addresses when installing any email program. The tech completed this task in a matter of minutes. No files were lost in the transfer process. I will use James again in the future.

He arrived on time and immediately inquired about purpose of visit, then proceeded to work. Was very quit and professional.

Mr Duncan arrived on time and immediately began the procedure.Since these technicians charge by the hour, I was a bit dismayed when I realized it was well into the second hour before the job was completed. I was prepared to pay him for two hours, but he only charged me for one.

Mr. Duncan showed up a little late, but given the nature of computer repair service,this wasn't a problem. As mentioned above, he did a very thorough job trouble shooting the problem. I was particularly impressed by his ability to move back and forth between PC and Macintosh computers. I was very pleased with the top notch service provided, much more so than other computer repair companies I have work with in the past. Plus the price was very reasonable!

James ia a professional and showed up on a Friday night at 6pm to get me up and running before the weekend. As a Realtor, Internet Access is critical--especially before the weekend. I would highly recommend him to anyone that needs IT support on the go.

James came promptly and set to work. Put the laptop through several virus scanning programs. While they were running, he checked the desktop and netbook. Pulled the older desktop out, checked for data that may have needed saving before erasing everything. Disconnected everything and placed it so I could get rid of it. Finally he attempted to figure out why my HP printer (with wireless capability) would not connect to my U-Verse router. That one will require a (probable) long chat with AT&T! The following day, my daughter's laptop sprung another strange problem and she was leaving town that morning. I called James and he was able to squeeze it in before she left town. Everything is working now well. James then followed up with me by e-mail by week's end. Very professional. Very helpful. Very prompt and efficient.

He came earlier than expected-was professional and even helped with a few other minor issues at no charge. I would definately recommend him again for small business or home. Excellent!
