James was on time.  He came prepared.  He is polite, competent and uses your time wisely.  There were things he taught me to do myself both for the future and because he didn't want me to pay for his time to transfer files for an hour or two when I could do it myself after he left.  However, if I had needed him to do it all he would have.  I really appreciated his sensitivity to this.  He is a true professional.   Even my geeky husband, appreciated his knowledge of network drives and their vulnerabilities.   He is completely at home with Windows systems, a bit less so with Apple - I have both.  Advised me on a number of programs that would be helpful to me in handling pictures.  I have peace of mind again over my pictures.

He was there about an hour and a half.  It simply took that long to try to determine the issues with my desktop.  All in all, he got it back into working order, but he had to give the bad news (which was completed expected by the way--no surprises) that my hard drive would eventually become unworkable.  That's sad, as much as I spent on that computer at the time (I hope not to spend that much again, because they get outdated and parts become irreplaceable).  But, as I said, the news wasn't unexpected.  But, any machine that I do get, I'll feel very comfortable calling this gentleman to work on it, because he's proven his competence and his knowledge.

My Dell desktop computer was getting slower and slower. It was hanging up frequently. James came out to fix it. He was on-time and got right to work. It turns out that one of the problems was that I had 2 virus programs running - one that I use and one that was installed on the computer by the manufacturer. When you have more than one they tend to fight each other. It was difficult for James to get the manufacturer installed ones removed, but he finally did. He also gave me hints on how to set up my email folders to speed up Outlook loading. I will definitely use him again.

"The previous antivirus software had not been uninstalled completely, and the protection module would not let the various files be removed even by Uninstaller programs. Solution was to boot with a boot disk and manually edit the registry and other files to remove the files and settings causing the problem. This took a while, but when done, I could get the system working normally again."

My PC was possessed and had previously been worked on by other technicians, but there were still unresolved issues that they never seemed to be able to correct and viruses still roaming around the hard drive.  James arrived promptly at the scheduled time and worked for 3 hours to thoroughly clean out the viruses, explained to me what had gone on and how he had corrected it.  During his time working on my computer, he also made a few other changes that greatly increased the speed of my computer.  He is the ultimate professional and if I ever need to have my computer worked on, he will be the one I call!

I am 225 miles away from her and she was having computer problems I find ridiculously easy to solve yet well-nigh impossible for her. It wasn't really cost-effective for me to have James come out but the advice he gave in response to my email inquiry WRT low-vision computer systems was first rate. That is what we're going with in the future so my mother won't have these kinds of problems again. Thank you James!

A call was placed on the rainy morning of Nov. 4 2014, a window was available that afternoon, Mr. Duncan came over around 2:30 p.m., the window for the appointment was from 2 to 4 P.M.  Mr. Duncan started work promptly upon arrival and did a great job in an hour or so.  I would use this company should I again need computer service, we are very satisfied.  Knowing how computers break down I am sure I will have to use the services of this establishment again.

My PC no longer recognized my external hard drive.  I called to schedule an appointment for someone to come by and check it out for me and they were able to put me on the schedule for the same day.  James called ahead of time to let me know he was on his way.  When he arrived, I explained the problem I was having with my external hard drive.  Within minutes he advised me that my hard drive had crashed.  He said he had software at home that he could try to run and see if he could recover my data, so he took the hard drive with him.  Later that evening he called to inform me that his software could not read the disk.  The only option I had was to send it off for data recovery.  He came back to my home around 8:00pm to bring my hard drive back to me and gave me a few suggestions on where I could take it for recovery.  James was very professional and explained everything in detail, which I appreciated because I have very basic computer knowledge.  I never felt like he was talking down to me, like some computers techs do.  He was very helpful and sympathetic to my issue.  Once I get the issue of my hard drive resolved, I will definitely set-up another appointment for James to come back out and go through my computer for viruses, and clean-up.

He told me before he took it in that he didn't know if he was going to be able to fix it. He told me that just to make sure that I was going to spend well the money, which of course now I wish I just did. I don't blame him for that. I thought he was just doing a good job.
