went as it should. timing was off. need a new motor and another part. they will call when parts come in.

The compressor had gotten too hot and continued to fail. I told him the fan fix was not working and he informed me that the cost to replace the compressor would not be worth it because I could get a new refrigerator for nearly the same price. I researched the model of refrigerator I had and it appears this is a very common problem amongst these units. I appreciate that he did not try to sell me additional services when it became apparent the refrigerator was done for.

Our dishwasher is 19 years old, so the replacement part was more expensive than seemed a good idea. We'll be replacing the dishwasher.

They did a diagnostic and sorted out the issue.

I was very pleased with Eric's work and thoroughness. He explained what he was doing and what our options were. He took the info on our oven and said he would try to find the part to fix it. I got a call the next morning from Lisa who said the part was no longer available so they would not be able to fix it. Not the outcome I wanted, but I appreciate the care and promptness in researching and getting back to me with the answer.

I had a problem with a washing machine. I explained it to her and instead of taking my money for a visit, she suggested I put my funds into a new washer. I so appreciate her honesty. How refreshing!

We have been using E & M Home Service for years for all of our home appliance repairs. We recently moved into a new home and the move somehow screwed up our refrigerator. The freezer was working, but the fridge was not staying cold. We called E & M to come out and they were able to reset it without changing any parts. This company is honest and trustworthy. We have used them for years and recommend to all of our friends and family members. Every service person who has come to our home has been extremely professional. They are my go to for any type of appliance repair. Love this company!

Upon determining the extent of leak and subsequent cost of repairing the washer, we decided not to repair it. He did also hook up the dryer with the correct vent (which we didn't have.) We were pleased with his service.

Great! They were very responsive and I was able to schedule an apt within a day of calling. They were on time and the repair was relatively quick.

It went great! I called in the morning and they sent Lisa over that afternoon. She did a great job quickly installing the new icemaker and making sure everything was working well before she left. I would definitely recommend them and use their services again in the future

I received excellent service and professional communication on this service. Lisa came out initially diagnosed the problem very quickly. Unfortunately, she didn't have a part on her so she ordered it and Terry came the following day to repair it. Very satisfied.

I was very pleased by the service, responsiveness, and level of expertise. Lisa provided a lot of back and forth e-mail advice on our old dishwasher and was very fast in responding. The installation and advice on the 5 year water filter was quick and professional. The prices are probably mid range, but fair given the confidence I felt that it was done right.

The technician came out and check my dishwasher and confirmed that I had a problem. He was very honest in that he recommended that I purchase another one rather than spend the money on repairs for the old which ultimately would cost more than a new one.

Wow! I wish all service people were as good as Lisa at E & M Home Repair. I purchased the $49.00 large appliance repair deal to fix the ice maker in my refrigerator. She gave me a time window when she would be here, and someone from the office called to let me know that she was on her way and how long it would take her to get to my house. (Big bonus points for this.....there is nothing worse than having a time frame and they don't show up or call to say they are running late.) Lisa knew I needed a new ice maker and showed me all the problems with the old unit. She was wonderful at explaining things and giving little tips for future problems that may occur. She also took a look at my dishwasher and dryer that I had questions about. She pointed out that the racks in the dishwasher were starting to show some metal and suggested I get some Appliance restoration spray paint and spray them to prevent further rusting. Lisa was delightful, professional, and all around it was a great experience. So many times you use repair people, but you wouldn't use them again. It's nice when you find someone you trust and would actually recommend to friends and family. I can rest easy knowing that I have someone to call the next time I need appliances fixed.

Was able to get an appt. for the day after I first called. Eric arrived promptly at scheduled time and called when he was about 20min. away. He quickly determined that the ice maker needed to be replaced. He had all parts on his truck - the ice maker and water valve. He completed the job in a professional and efficient manner. We will definitely call E&M Home Services again!

It was excellent! They were extremely courteous.

Cost $59.90 service call plus tax = $64.84. Lisa was very friendly and professional while explaining what she was doing. A rain deluge caused her to be later than originally expected, but I received 2 phone calls alerting me where she was and what the updated time of arrival would be. Can't ask for more than that! I explained how loud and out of whack my washer tub was when spinning clothes. She did a thorough exam and we put some towels in just to see what it would do, and she discovered the only thing needed was leveling, which fixed the problem. Since that was the only thing she had to do, she also checked the dryer and cleaned out all the collection of lint and dirt from around the dryer motor without any additional charge. Both my washer and dryer are older Kenmore models, and I told her I wanted to partner with her to keep them running as long as possible since I have no desire to buy any of the new "energy efficient" models without agitators and with all kinds of quality control issues (my opinion). She told me she would apply the service call charge to the next repair, and I will call her if the noise starts again. E & M Home Service is my new appliance repair company that I just added to speed dial on my phone. I absolutely recommend them without reservation!!

Lisa showed up on time. She quickly diagnosed and repaired the problem. The kitchen was as clean when she finished as it was when she started. She also provided additional information regarding a couple older appliances and advised repairs vs replacement. Will definitely use her company again and have already referred her to friends and colleagues!

Communication setting up the appointment was quick and efficient at first. Then, I tried reaching out to them to reschedule for another day, and could reach no one through the Angie's message stream, or on the phone! I didn't know if they had gotten my second message to reschedule or not, so i had to make plans to be home, and then they never showed. Finally I reached someone on the company's website, and rescheduled for the following day. The technician arrived right on the dot, looked over the problem, and asked if I had unplugged the washer, and then plugged it back in. You're kidding me, right? They could've suggested I try that first (I hadn't thought to), before scheduling service, as I had described the problem in detail at the outset. $97 to unplug and plug! Technician Eric was pleasant, prompt, and tested everything before leaving, though. No qualms about his service. Just a few misses which if avoided would've resulted in an outstanding rating.

The service man was punctual, clean, and very professional. He replaced the broken ice maker and did not make a mess.
