Unfortunately my mother passed away the following day and knowing we would have out of town relatives visiting, I called and scheduled for Chem Dry to come earlier in the week. We were told to be at mom's house between 8 and 9 AM, we got there at 7:45. At 9:05 I called the office, she called the driver and he apologized for being late but said he would be there within 20 minutes; 45 minutes later he showed up.
They did an "OK" job, I think because he was running late he rushed through the cleaning but emotionally I just didn't have the energy to argue about it.

They used their scrubbing machine to clean the carpets in the agreed-to areas, but it really didn't look good. It looked kind of like it hadn't been cleaned at all. When they were done, I told them I wasn't pleased with the result, so I went ahead and paid them an extra $30 to spray the carpets, after which they recleaned them. The scrubbing machine broke when it bumped into a piece of exercise equipment. The cleaners discussed whether to go back to their shop for another machine or finish the job with a spray wand. I told them either was fine with me, as long as the carpets got clean, so they did most of the recleaning using a spray wand. This left the carpet really wet. I think the scrubbing machine would probably have gotten a lot more of the water out. Instead of an hour and a half or two hours for the carpet to dry, it was more like 24 hours before I could move the furniture back into place.
The carpets look good. I have no complaint about the way the carpets look at all. The cleaners told me more than once that it was important to them that I was satisfied with the job, and I liked that. They told me that if I found any areas that weren't cleaned to my satisfaction, they would come back and redo them.
I was disappointed that the package I bought initially wasn't sufficient to really clean the carpets and an upgrade was required to get a good result.
If I decide to use them again, I'll know to go ahead and pay the additional $30 up-front.

In order to maintain the carpet warranty we have our carpets cleaned two/three times a year. I did use this company before AND even though the last time the end result was a little better except they did not clean the carpet in one of he bathrooms I did decide to call them once again. My mistake. God bless.

The technician arrived on time. He vacuumed the carpet first and then cleaned the carpet.
Everything went very smoothly and the technician was very polite and professional.

While vacuuming I discovered in our office room that there had been a great deal of spray all across the side of my desk up onto the pictures and about 9 feet up the side of the wall. Lots of water/cleaning solution spots over an area of probably 12 square feet total. I don't see how that could have happened without the technician realizing it and yet he said nothing to me. It seems to be cleaning up easy enough, but it was very disappointing to have another job now that the carpets have been cleaned.
It is now nearly 36 hours later and there are still spots on the carpet that are damp. With that much moisture in the carpet and pad I am now nervous about mold and mildew developing in the carpet. Perhaps it was just the technician I had, but this was not a good experience.

they called the friday before and sent an email reminder.
he got here at 0815, right on time. he vacuumed everything then cleaned the carpet. he sprayed some deodorizer on the carpet afterward because we have 3 dogs...
He was punctual and professional. he explained what he was doing and told me about extra services available but not a hard sell.
i will definitely use Chem-Dry again. This is the 2nd or 3rd time I've used them.

I was surprised to learn that the normal service involved not moving ANY furniture. They just clean around everything. However, I was able to get the service man to help me move a couple of items onto tile areas. I moved them back after the job was complete and the carpets completed drying. The technician had good skills and did a good job.
