"Thank you Memeber! It was good working with you guys and glad you got what you wanted. Between your new fence and the work American Outdoors did in your back yard, it is tied together beautifully and you have a lot to like. Thanks for trusting us and it was a pleasure. George"
"Thanks Member, I'll be getting back to you soon to choose one of the 10 stain colors we offer that are on cedar planks. You will see why waiting to stain is superior over pre-stained fences once we stain it and it last twice as long as any pre-stained cedar on the market, even if using the same stain as the competition. It was fun talking to you as well, you're a good man and a good couple. Wish I had more customers like you. See you soon."
"A request from you was never received, period. I went back through July emails and nothing was ever received. It is the time of the year that things slow down and all requests that come through are attended to, especially if they are Angie's List leads. Sometimes technology does not work as you know. Please do NOT jump to conclusions, your request was NEVER received. If you are still interested please contact us through Angie's List. As a matter of fact I got one last Friday that I saw yesterday. We take care of business. I would appreciate you taking down the F rating, we have no control when information is never received and I think you would understand if you were on my end. Regards, George Dorrell Owner"
"Thanks, I'm glad we could help you out. Hopefully we will be able to work for you again whenever the need occurs again. Not that I'm hoping for it to blow down again, but.......! Thanks again, it was a pleasure working with you."
"Thanks for the nice comments. Hopefully we can follow thru with the rest of the project for you, I'll do what I can on my end to work it out. Thanks again."
"In contrast to your ugly report, I had a crew I was using and they failed to live up to their responsibility to me as a paid employee. What would you do differently? I gave him the supplies, the address, paid him IN ADVANCE, everything, and he did not do his job and he was fired. Heck, I'm out $70 on materials and labor! I cannot hold everyone's hand that works for me. If you ran a business, you make personnel decisions based on past performance,, not future, correct? He failed, he was let go immediately. This was sudden from him and as I told via one of your 10 texts, he contacted me late at night and said he didn't do the work after I thought the work was completed. Tell me what else I could have done? Yes, I did tell offer you a solution as opposed to telling you to fend for yourself. I offered a solution since my man did not live up to his obligation. Handymen are the kind of guys that are available when fence companies are 3 weeks out on jobs. You also replied to my text telling me almost immediately you had another fence company lined up to do it for you. So to me, you had it handled. Instead you have to berate my company over an $85 post replacement. Walk in another mans shoes before you criticize him! Yes, I was let down by a guy who had been busting his butt for me and doing a good job, then suddenly disappearing. This is construction, it's not white collar employees living in $350K homes giving a 14 day notice to resign. I'm sorry you think we are so terrible, but hopefully your one rotted fence post didn't cause you to get any citations from Frisco in the three days this encompassed. If so, show me the citation and I'll pay it for you."
"Yes, we got overwhelmed. Yes, I had health issues of which I was told to not even deal with phone calls for 5 days. Yes, I accept responsibility of not contacting you consistently. Yes, the price went up AFTER I went out and physically looked at the job as opposed to estimating it over the phone. Yes, companies mess up sometimes and I messed up. This is the one and only occasion I have messed up like this, I'm sorry it had to be you. It's difficult when at the end of working 14 hours a day, 6 days a week, 50-60 phone calls a day to respond to everyone. And yes, we have proceeded on your project and I do hope you write in once it is completed to say the work we did was satisfactory. As of now, as I have communicated to you, I'm waiting on the fabrication of this custom ironwork. As I said on the phone, once it is completed I can give you an install date. I do hope you are satisfied once the job is completed."
"Thanks Member, I'm glad we were able to help you out with your project."
Due to the wet Winter we had, it was a while before they could come back to stain, but I understood that they had to get to prior clients before me.
Clean up was good.
The fence looks beautiful and another contractor I had over (for another project) complimented me on it, and said he could tell they did a good job.
"Thanks for the great review Member. What you said is a testament to why you wait to stain and do not go with a pre-stained fence. Patience is worth it's weight in gold. We observe every guideline the stain manufacturers state and it's for good reason. By waiting due to the weather and for proper conditions, your fence will remain looking good for twice as long as a pre-stain or if we got hasty and did it without it being totally dry. Thanks again and keep applauding that dog of yours for doing handstands and walking on it's front feet!"
"Thanks Member. I was a pleasure doing business with you. You guys were completely accessible and it made for an easy project. There were a few tricks to pull off the fence once we got it down, but my guys are the best and handled it. Thanks again."
"Thank you so much for posting your experience, it means a lot to us. If you ever need any replacement work done down the road I'd appreciate the opportunity to work with you guys again."
"Thank you Member. I do hope we can get that work lined up for you. You were very easy to deal with and appreciate that we were able to get you a little better fence than we first anticipated at the same cost."
"Hey member, thanks for the great report. If we can ever be of service again, it will be our pleasure to work with you."
"Thanks much, I'm glad we could work this in for you. We always put an emphasis on Angie's members to try to be timely and competitive. Thanks again."
"Thanks Member. Glad we finally got a break and you were home to get the staining done, but patience is worth it's weight in gold regarding staining, it will last you much longer than pre-staining or jumping the gun and staining too soon after being built. It's been a pleasure working with you."
"Thank you very much for the kind comments. We strive to do things right every time, and we wanted you to have a cedar fence as opposed to a spruce fence so the adjustments were made where we could to get it in your budget. And we do hope to stain your fence in a month like the stain manufacturers say to do it so that you get a long life out of the stain as opposed to other methods used in the market. It was a pleasure working with you guys."
"Thanks for the great comments, they are appreciated. I like hearing from people we built for in the past that confirms what we say and do holds true for the long term. Thanks again."
Project was finished on time and on budget.
"Great couple to work for even if they are Texas Tech fans! It was a pleasure to work with this couple."
"Thank you for the kind comments years later! We have since brought staining in house and our guys are trained professionals who have years of experience doing so. We only offer Wood Defender and Baker's Gray Away stains as we feel they are the best stains on the market, tried and true. Thanks again."
