MC Electric of Celina, TX was used under First American Home Warranty. The technician name was Juan. I pointed out the problem about the overloaded breakers but he only address one. Then, I explained to him the information that the City of Garland Power and Light asked to be addressed. Juan was unconcerned and tried to charge me when this repair is covered under the warranty. He said he would have to report the information to the office. I asked him to write the information that the City stated, he was very mad and did not want to document it. I had to tell him I would not sign the invoice until he do so. By then, he wrote it on the invoice. After he left, I went to the panel and saw a piece of black electrical tape across the breaker switch he removed. UNBELIEVABLE!!!! I was just to upset to believe that he removed a switch that was to my outside lights and plugs without asking. MC Electric never returned phone calls from myself nor the warranty. Unfortunately, I had to report this to the warranty company plus send them the picture of the work as proof. First American Home Warranty stated they will remove MC Electric from their list of service providers. NEVER AGAIN!!!!

MC Electric recommended and performed an electrical panel replacement in my home as a vendor for First American Home Buyers Protection Corporation. Mr. Carrion estimated the work on 7/7, and performed the work on 7/12/14. He did NOT pull a permit as required by the City. He did not have an inspection of his work. He did NOT call Oncor for disconnect (Oncor records show he called about tag on 7/25, 13 days AFTER work was completed. Mr. Carrion installed a GE PowerMark Gold panel. He did NOT label the panel cover. He installed a mismatch of breakers. The panel label clearly states: ?Use only GE type breakers? and in the warning box on panel: "Use only with GE breakers, use of other circuit breakers voids warranty, may void the UL listing and could result in PROPERTY LOSS or PERSONAL INJURY." The pool motor would not run, and a technician stated the problem was at the newly installed panel. When these lapses were brought to his attention, he refused to correct them or even check them stating that the warranty company doesn't pay him to do that. He insisted I pay him an additional $150 to come out and label the panel. I continued to work this issue with the warranty company for approx. a month to no avail. I opted to have another vendor, Electricman (highly recommend) inspect the panel and troubleshoot the pool voltage issue. The below are their findings: 1. main neutral wire needs to be phased 2.Panel needs grounding bushing 3. Three breakers in panel are not u/l listed to be installed in GE box 4. 1/2" knockout in top of box needs to be plugged 5. Several circuits are sharing a neutral and are NOT on a 2-pole breaker 6. Panel is not labeled 7. AC breaker "OVERSIZED". It is on a 50 amp, must be 40 or 45. 8. 2-pole, 30amp breaker for pool equipment was not functioning. When pulled out, it was burnt on one side. This was supposed to be a new breaker. I am completely dissatisfied with his service and responses. He and his office manager have lied to the warranty company and accused me of lying. They have made no effort to rectify this situation in any way other than to have me pay more. They are the ultimate smoke and mirrors duo and do a very good job of either bamboozling the warranty company, or colluding with them to deny expensive claims, I can't tell which.
Description of Work: MC Electric was dispatched by home warranty company to review Electrical Panel failure. He recommended full replacement, and then performed that replacement on 7/12/14.

We contacted our home warranty company and they sent out this electrician to fix our outlets in our home. He showed up yesterday morning to to fix the outlets. He then assured my husband he was done and that he had fixed the outlets. After he left we plugged in our tv to one of the outlets he fixed, and it fried the tv. When we contacted the Service provider to let him know that his work wasn't correct and it fried our tv, he told us that the tv was broken before we plugged it into the outlet. This isn't true because we were watching it in the morning when he came to the house to start the work. I have never been so insulted in my life. This Service Provider and his office manager called me a liar. I feel that it was very unprofessional and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
Description of Work: We had outlets in our home that were not operating and a couple them that had sparked previously, and there was another one in the living room that had already fried a DVD player.
