Matt was on time, he went straight to work, he showed me what was wrong and what it would take to fix it. He also helped identify a couple other small plumbing problems around the house and fixed them while he was there. I couldn't have been happier with the experience. I had bought a deal on Angie's List. To be honest, I felt as though some of the services may have been a little pricey had I not had the deal, but there's also a good chance that I just don't know what is standard. Either way, I would use them again.
Description of Work: Matt was extremely friendly, helped get done what we needed, explained what was wrong and fixed it quickly. I would definitely use them again and would ask for Matt specifically.

The plummer was prompt and thorough. He did run into a snag when he explained that the pipe to the faucet broke and he would have to remove bricks to get the rest of the connecting pipes. This generated an additional charge. Which raised the question, you broke it so why do I have to pay?

My experience with them went very well. They tried the best they could to fix the toilet. It was not their problem; it was a problem with the toilet. I had to get a new one. They provided some recommendations. The price was reasonable.

.Great! Came in to make ice maker connection only but I added to list, agreed to his price and he went right to work. Had all necessary parts and supplies on this truck. We furnished the faucet set which we already had. Very pleased with his workmanship, quality, approach and attitude about his work. Discussed some future work with him and will definitely use them when we do it.
Description of Work: Replaced all drain lines (disposal & double sink) under kitchen sink, replaced faucet and sprayer set, replaced all valves (4) on supply lines, and connected ice maker line to refrigerator. We had run the line but compression fitting I bought were defective and the old line was soldered to the valve which I could not unsolder due to original solder used.

Just be aware when you leave messages over the weekend that this company does not provide any services or return phone calls on weekends. I checked their website for any mention that they don't work weekends and couldn't find it. I did see regular office hours on their contact page but I think if they actually don't do any work or even return phone calls on the weekends they should be more clear about that on their home page.
Description of Work: This company left a message at 7:40 am on Monday. When I returned their message at 8:40 am they were already booked for the day.

We are very sorry that you had a frustrating experience with us. We appreciate your comments and take these very seriously. We are a small company and unfortunately do not have capacity for weekend work right now, however we are working towards that very soon. We try to be very accommodating and come in early on Monday to return calls as soon as we can, however I’m very sorry we couldn’t get you on the schedule that day. We value you as a potential customer and hope you will give us another opportunity to serve you, should the need arise.

continued communication prior to appointment to confirm appointment time and give me a 2hr and 30 minutes heads up for arrival. service man was VERY polite, had his tools and was ready to work within 5 minutes of arrival. made sure to check HIMSELF and not ask me if we had a hot water circulator so we didn't risk a burn out. finished in half the time they told me it would take bc he worked without break. triple checked to make sure it worked and walked me through all his work and replacement parts. used an iPad for billing and immediate email for safe keeping in my records. first class and will use them exclusively for my plumbing needs.

Daniel showed up right at the beginning of his time window. We described our problem with a 'sewer like" smell in our shower despite how much we clean. He was very knowledgeable and did an examination. He made a few phone calls and deduced that our problem (which had greatly reduced that day) was probably due to the city (Frisco) water which occaisionally has increased levels of Hydrogen sulfide gas caused by alge blooms in the primary source lake. This made a lot of sense and based on some other research we believe that is what the problem was. He was very informative and did not try to sell us something or service that we did not need. They have larger trucks which contain a lot of different parts so that whatever your problem is they usually have the part on hand. He wore booties into the house and he wrote up his job very thoroughly on the receipt record which he also emailed to us. He also told us that if it came back we should contact the builder (our house is just over a year old) and that it would probably be covered under warranty. We now know where we will go for any plumbing needs in the future!

We noticed discoloration on the ceiling of our downstairs bathroom and were concerned about a water leak. I called Legacy Plumbing Tuesday evening and spoke with a very courteous office employee. They had a plumber at our house at 8:30 the next morning. He promptly identified the problems, described his findings, and showed me pictures of the areas needing repair. He explained what needed to be done and what it would cost. Repairs were completed and he made additional recommendations about preventive things we could do. While the visit wasn't cheap, he deducted the costs that he could and even calculated which coupon would provide the most savings. I hope I don't have another plumbing problem, but if I do, I'll call Legacy Plumbing.

The backyard faucet had been broken for years. I had been told in the past that it might be broken inside the wall, but I wasn't sure. I had asked another plumber before about the faucet and had been quoted a high price--which I have forgotten--and told that if the bricks had to be removed that I would need to have someone else replace them, as they--the first plumbing company that I had originally asked about the matter-- repaired only the faucet itself. So the matter had been put on hold. But this summer I really needed the faucet repaired so began research on getting it repaired. I read the Angie's List reviews carefully and determined that Legacy Plumbing had done this sort of work often, judging by the frequency of reviews, and that the reviews were excellent. Then Angie's List had a deal, pay $25 for $100 plumbing services. I called Legacy Plumbing to ask their prices, before I actually bought the coupon, and to determine if they would use a frost-free faucet. I had researched the matter online and determined that frostf-ree faucets were the best, evidently. Legacy Plumbing said they did, and they would supply the faucet, They gave me three price levels, depending on the type of work that would need to be done. The most expensive would be if they had to tear out the brick around the faucet and replace it from inside the wall. However, if so, they would replace the brick after replacing the faucet, so that sounded a lot better to me than having to hire an extra person later to replace the brick, as the prior plumber I had asked, would have done Because of the age of the house, I had been told by the other that it was likely that the cut-off (or something, I don't understand the technicalities) meant that it was likely that bricks might have to be removed, so I was more or less expecting that. So I bought the Angie's List coupon, then called Legacy Plumbing back to make the appointment. I asked if one of their most experienced plumbers could be sent, one who had done this many times. That was important to me, given the fact that this could be complex work. She said they would send Wayne, who had done this for years. Two plumbers showed up, Wayne and Lee, both of whom were very knowledgeable and experienced--and exceptionally nice--people--and they did outstanding work. First, they checked the other plumbing issues I had wanted to ask about and determined they were all right--no charge for that, and put the water hose on for me in the front yard, again, no charge. Then they replaced the faucet. They really tried to repair it without taking the brick out and spent a lot of time trying to do the replacement the most economical way for me, but determined eventually that out-of-wall replacement could not be done. So they set to work to take out the bricks and replace it. I didn't time their work but it could easily have been two hours or so, if not more. Had I been paying by the hour, for two plumbers, instead of by the job, the bill would have been much higher than what I paid, so it was an excellent deal for me. Total bill for me, first, service call fee $50, second, replace the faucet, including removal and replacement of bricks, one year warranty, $362 before coupon was applied. No charge for the other inspections. Angie's List coupon then applied, taking off $100. So total I paid them was $312.00. (Not counting the $25.00 I had earlier paid Angie's List for the coupon.) Total cost to me, therefore, was $337, including cost for the frost-free faucet, and putting the bricks back, a real bargain, given the complexity of it and the time it took, plus outstanding work and exceptionally--exceptionally--high quality, professional plumbers, extremely, extremely nice people, conscientious. I think I got the best work, and from the nicest, most conscientious, best plumbers possible, and I am really, really glad I chose this company, on the basis of that good work. On a scale of one to ten, I'd give them a hundred.
Description of Work: Replaced frost-proof outside faucet on back patio, including removing and replacing two bricks. Also checked various items I had a concern about, including putting the hose on a front-yard faucet, which I had been unable to do. No charge for these last, was charged only for the back patio faucet replacement. This was a complex job and took a long time to do. Two plumbers worked steadily. I didn't time their work but it could easily have been two hours or so, difficult, painstaking work, including removing, then replacing the brick. It looks great now!

Changing out the hot water heater went well. Later that evening it rained a little, and the flood stop valve activated and shut the hot water off to the house. I noticed that a little water was in the drain pain which sits under the hot water heater, and that there was also a little water on top of the hot water heater. I called Legacy Plumbing, and they came out immediately (around 10:00 PM) to check things out. It appeared that the hot water heater exhaust vent on the roof was leaking. Legacy Plumbing came out the next morning and climbed onto our two story roof to check the vent. The seal had been cracked when the hot water heater was changed out. They applied silicon caulking around the vent which sealed it properly, and I have not seen any more water leaks since that first night. I appreciate their quick response and the fact that they did try to charge me for the vent repair. Overall, we were very pleased with Legacy Plumbing, and we will use them again in the future.
Description of Work: Legacy Plumbing removed my old gas hot water heater and installed a new 50 gallon Bradford White gas hot water heater. They also installed a flood stop valve and sensor that will shut off the water flow if any water gets on the sensor which sits in the pan under the hot water heater.

Plumber was very professional and courteous. He was on time, diagnosed the issues, and provided affordable solutions. The shower control handle was tricky because the part was 17 years old. Somehow he was able to access the part, and was able to install it within two days of his first trip. I was concerned that I might have to have the valve replaced, which would involve major wall work and expense. Thankfully, this company provided an honest man who was cost conscious, taking the view of the homeowner. The shower now works better than ever, and I greatly appreciate the honesty and the work done.

My mother-in-law bought a toilet from Lowes and paid them to have it installed. The contractor Lowe's used was very rude and unprofessional. They told her she needs a new flange. I didn't buy it because from what I know a toilet needs a flange to stay on the ground. What had happened is that the flange popped off when the toilet was removed. He failed to mention that to me, what he said was "I need to put a new flange and that is that!! I don't have time to talk to you about this, do you want it done or NOT." This is where Wayne comes in... Taking time off from a big job he's working on Wayne, from Legacy Plumbing, told me that older flanges tend to dislodge with older toilets (toilet replaced was from the early 80's). To take it even one step further, Wayne had me send him a picture of the job to ensure the work was up to his standards. After his sound advice the job was completed to both mine and Wayne s satisfaction. Wayne.... you are the man!!!! Disclaimer: My mother in law and I have used Legacy in the past and have nothing but good things to say about them. In addition, please keep in mind Legacy didn't charge one penny for this advice. They are not only professionals but they are honest and carry the utmost integrity. Try finding a company that posses all of these qualities. My mother in law and I will continue to use Legacy plumbing!

We are terribly sorry for any misunderstandings related to this call. We are always very careful to communicate our service charge over the phone when we schedule the appointment. This fee is a charge to get the technician out to your home and covers the cost of gas, insurance, time, etc. We try very hard to be fair with our customers and we are sincerely sorry for any misunderstanding. We do offer a free service call coupon for first time customers with a minimum repair of $100 and we would be happy to honor that in the future if you would like to give us another opportunity to serve you.

Wayne showed up early for his appointment, accompanied by Lee. They began to perform the laundry list of repair issues that we have noted above, working diligently and professionally, explaining the reasons why parts had failed in a clear manner. The work areas were all left in immaculate conditions. They were respectful, polite and very professional in demeanor and in appearance. We have used them in the past, also with great results. I have recommended to friends their services in the past, and will continue to do so in the future.
