Foley Pools has to be the worst pool company I have ever encountered. A family member of mine worked here for them, doing all of the extra jobs the “bosses” didn’t feel like doing. The unprofessionalism is beyond me. They would make him work up to 12 hour days and how do they repay the hardworking individual? Firing him a day before Thanksgiving. Over text. No written warning, no communication about what to do next time, just fired him because he requested a couple of days off almost a month prior. The unprofessional manager, Edwin Flores, didn’t remember this (even though he wrote him a text message with the dates) and instead of taking accountability and ownership, he and John Soupee decide to just send a text letting him go. These employees depend on a check week to week, so to do this over the holidays is absolutely monstrous. No heart. I wasn’t going to mention this, but since they clearly don’t care about the people who actually show up for them and that job, I will. Because my family member worked there, I recommend the company to a friend who needed her pool maintained. Corbin Hayward, was the employee who was responsible for this job. Her pool before Foley looked so much better. Her pool after was always green, the hard work they did was sloppy and clearly rushed, and not to mention, they charged her for things that were due to their own mistakes (they caused multiple rust stain due to the sloppiness of this job). Did they get rid of this employee after this instance? No, they kept him and let him go do other people the same way. I just want to bring some attention to the way Foley does their jobs. They are sloppy, unprofessional, and run when theres a problem instead of fixing it. If you want to take the chance on a company who does their customers AND employees dirty, then yes Foley Pools is the perfect company to help you.

Do not use them. It went 30% over budget and they never took accountability for anything. The salesperson sold us on them and then was never involved in the process. The whole process seemed like a bait and switch. Get us in the door and then not work with us at all because “that is what you guys signed in the contract.” Sorry. That is what you chose. That change order is going to cost a lot extra. They were NOT up front from the beginning. They knew what we wanted and knew we were going to have to go over budget to get it. Just be honest. We would have paid it. Don’t tell us what we want to hear to get a sale. Hated them. Will never use them again.

Beware Beware Beware Foley pools is not an honorable company. My pools rusts after 4 months, my waterfalls are not level, the fail to honor any warranties, they have damaged my property, and the pool has numerous construction faults. They agreed to install irrigation and lighting sleeves but did not. They have offered me $100,000 which won't begin to cover the damage

0 stars!!!! Wait for a more reputable company to be available!!! Foley Custom Pools was the only company available in the time we were looking. They started the job late, stopped the job to go work on another job. We had a grade in our backyard where we wanted the pool, we were told it wouldn’t be an issue. Foley said he had plenty of dirt from other jobs to do the backfill. I had to put up a $7k retaining wall. A couple of times they brought in dirt he told us not to worry about the cost. It was dirt from other jobs that needed to be removed anyways. His concrete guy forgot to install the rings for the handrail and he refuses to install them because of the dirt he brought in (maybe $70 -cost of gas for the truck). I had other companies bring in dirt to finish leveling out the back yard. After he was given the final check he claimed we said we didn’t want the handrails but have several text messages stating other wise. I told him and his concrete guy I have messed up hips and needed the handrails several times before they got to that point. After he was given the last check he told me he would not fix the handrail, wouldn’t install the outside outlet and they didn’t install hooks for the safety lines or even leave the safety lines. His crew came in everyday and left trash from their breakfast in my backyard and left all the debris from the install. They broke my fence. The inspection has failed as well. Do not pay final check for this company unless all is done. Also.... everything he says he will do or throw in .....get it in writing.

This is the WORST contractor/pool construction experience I have ever had... in fact, I would argue this experience is among the worst regardless of service or product. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU USE A DIFFERENT POOL CONTRACTOR TO BUILD YOUR POOL! The company and their subcontractors will make countless mistakes and they will need to redo every aspect of their contruction more than once. I can share countless examples and pictures of their poor craftsmanship. The company and their staff are highly inefficient, lack any accountability and customer service + communication is almost non-existant. I can share communication history of the five different PMs that rarely responded. I had to chase this company down for any/every response. Be warned their is no supervision of subs at your property. Most are inexperienced and have no overall regard for the quality of the project. Oddly, I have never had crews sleep in wheelbarrels before... but there were countless days with or without crews working so it wasn't surprising. Not once did I see a crewmember clean up the site at the end of the day. The worst of the experiences involved my NEW neighbor. I expressly instructed them, and paid extra money, to not disturb/damage my neighbor's property, specifically the fence and yard which had newly installed turf. As came customary with Foley, there was no regard for property or opinion... they stacked tons of dirt against the fence, their excavator bucket hit the fence and dropped material onto the neighbor's new turf. Repeated agreement to pull and repair fence panels and repair turf eventually became lies as they categorized damage as nominal. I eventually and reluctantly told my neighbor that my weeks (months) of attempting to resolve have stalled ( 3 mos. quickly melted into 6 and counting). My neighbor is considering legal recourse against Foley. Feel free to reach out to me for more information and valid reasons to avoid this contractor at all costs!

Our neighbors got a pool installed and Foley has left our yard not draining properly, dead sod, missing sod holes in our yard, unlevel ground and broken wood on our fence. We have given Foley Pools many opportunities to fix the issues however they continue to give us excuses and treat us like idiots. My wife left the owner a message as a last attempt for resolution and did not receive a call back.

Anyone considering Foley pools should read my experience with John and Kevin Foley, joe Cayton, Daniel Schanz Lacy raspberry and others. Although I have a written warranty, my infinity edge is not level, my auto filler has never worked, my walls leak, and other issues. I have sent them a third party inspection report showing the defects and poor workmanship, but they do nothing. They effectively will not acknowledge their duties in our written agreement and refuse to address the many problems that are warranty items. It is written in my agreement they will make every effort to protect my property, yet they recklessly drove their front loader with blades down causing multiple scrapes across my driveway, many of them almost an inch deep. In addition they agreed to lay plywood down to disperse the weight of the trucks entering my property, but on four separate occasions failed to lay a single sheet of plywood. Of course this caused considerable damage. During my due diligence, they provided me a copy of a $2,000,000 insurance policy. I have no proof that it is valid. Beware. Beware. Beware.

I cannot tell you how disappointed we continue to be with Foley Pools. The initial schedule was to be 3-4 months at the most. We are beginning our 6 month, and still no end. The lack of activity, attention to details, the ability to follow through on stated commitments, keeping schedules and keeping promises. At this point, I am truly considering purchasing ad campaigns to work against any future business that you guys would be going after. Social media platforms, magazines, etc. It is now to a point of being ridiculous. The project was started January 8th. The pool of my neighbor started March 23rd. They will be complete in the next one to two weeks. Their pool is as complex as ours is with three levels, etc. Additionally, we have missed the initial deadline of end of April-fist of May, and mine and my wife’s 50th birthday parties (5-3), my son’s 12th birthday party (5-12), my daughter’s graduation party (5-18), my daughter’s sweet 16 birthday party (5-20), and my daughter’s 18th birthday party (5-31) have all been missed to date. At our current pace we may get finished next year. My wife came up there and met with Zack and Daniel a couple of weeks ago. Daniel stated that he would personally get involved. To date, there has not been any improvement since Daniel’s involvement. Even on a sunny day like today, we have no workers present on the job. Foley wants final payment prior to completion. I am currently not interested in providing you the final payment when plaster is done – because I do not believe that the remainder of the work items will be completed afterwards. There are still so many uncompleted items including: masonry, decking adjustments, sod, landscape lighting, minor re-grade work, drainage installation, concrete flat work, staining of fence, sink installation, punch list items and obviously plastering. I have asked this be forward to Mr. Foley for discussion. To date, I have not been contracted. Please use someone else for your pool construction project.

Given the typical intrusion one goes through when having pool built in backyard, I felt like Foley was outstanding. I spent years researching designs and getting familiar with the process (OCD). I dealt with Kevin on sales side who was excellent. He will be straightforward with you on everything and I really appreciate that. Other pool builders that I spoke to (7 total over 3 years) would hide details and wouldn't be forthcoming with pricing information, but not Foley. They do business the right way and I appreciate the integrity from Foley family. Other pool builders would argue and try to change your mind on everything. Kevin understood this was our pool and wanted to truly get us our design and actually listen to our ideas. I know this sounds like the normal way pool builders do business but I assure not from my experience. The work that was done was outstanding......and I am a very picky person. Other than a few details that were missed, there wasn't much to fix or repair after pool was built. There were a few details that were missed, but Foley got them back out and got it all fixed up quickly. I would expect in any project for there to be some missed items, but it was very few with ours and got resolved quickly. Workmanship of project was truly outstanding! Very happy we went with a Foley! I highly suggest Foley to anyone looking to build a pool.....you will not regret it. I also use them for pool service and very happy with service as well.

We called several pool companies and met with two, and we picked Foley Pools without hesitation. They delivered as we expected. From our first meetings with Kevin to completion, we are very pleased. Kevin was great to work with, we really appreciated his laid back, no-pressure type of sales approach. He helped guide us through the entire process. What we thought was impossible for our small backyard, he was able to bring us a plan that exceeded our expectations. The dig started mid-June and we were swimming on Labor Day weekend. It was a long process for an anxious couple that looked forward to having it completed, but we realized it was a huge project, with many, many crews involved. It was amazing to watch it develop. Our project manager, Ron, was great. He handled the issues and everything he  said he would do and take care of, he did. Even through the punch items, making sure everything was done. There are always going  to be some issues that arise along the way, especially with such a large project, and we sometimes had to remind or question something, but nothing they couldn't handle and take care of. The various contractors and crews were respectful and conscientious. They worked through the intense heat and didn't cut corners.
The stone work is unbelievably beautiful. We get many compliments on it. The back and one side of the pool is all stones with four waterfalls - we wanted lots of water sounds because our alley faces a fairly busy street. The raised flagstone spa with a rolled neck is awesome - it has a fountain with six jets and a stairstep spillway into the pool. Our freeform saltwater pool has a tanning bed and one bench, flagstone tile and coping with awesome lighting effects. The flagstone island kitchen has a gas grill, small fridge and a wonderful island where four people can sit at. The flagstone fireplace is unbelievable - did I already say how awesome the stonework was?
We are enjoying swimming even now, in November, because of the heating ability. We've hosted a number of parties already and everyone that sees our oasis can't believe it. So many compliments and everyone just wants to hang out now in our backyard! We highly recommend Foley Pools - no one is perfect, but this family comes close. They have integrity and stand behind their work. I also need to mention that Alan, who did our pool school, was terrific - so helpful even to the point of answering my texts on the weekend. The Pentair screen logic to control everything from our phones was perfectly set up and explained to us by Alan. Mark, who did our pool start up was also great - very helpful. And the young men that installed our landscape lighting (Foley family members) were so considerate and respectful - the Foley family should be proud of them.
We are 100% sure we made the right choice in selecting Foley pools. We got more than we ever expected. We spent a good amount of money, but we feel we got more than our money's worth - and what you're quoted is what you pay! No surprises. We know we will have many years of enjoyment in our new oasis.

I cannot say enough good things about Rick Morton with Foley Pools.  The work was done in record time and everything looks beautiful.  Anytime I had an issue I would email or send a text to Rick and usually got a response within 10 minutes. I have never worked with such a responsive contractor.  He even went to a stone yard himself and bought some different rocks/boulders for the waterfall when I requested some different ones than the guys building the waterfall had brought with them. I got several estimates before starting the job and Foley was quite a bit lower than the others.
I also appreciated the fact that Foley has a showroom where I could go and look at tile samples and bring them home rather than just picking them out from a catalog.

Sadly due to both the incompetence of both the mismanagement of my pool project and the incompetence of the sub contractors who really are who builds their pools and their inability to manage them I have had to take my complaints to the BBB. I would not recommend using them ever.

The sales process was wonderful and I chose Foley over other companies based on their reputation.  I paid more for the pool to have quality and a company that backs up their product.  The plaster job is where it all went wrong.  A miscommunication by Foley and the plaster company led to the pool not getting the proper acid bath which led to a mess in the pool, with hard surfaces that would cut your feet (abrasive) and a horrible appearance.  I had to escalate to have this fixed.  Foley sent a crew out to drain and acid wash the pool.  The crew drained and acid washed the pool in one day and did not drain and acid wash the spa!  I had to have that escalated and they did come back and drain and acid wash the spa.  Even with this being done, the final coat or finish of my pool sucks!  It is spotty with clear areas the acid wash cleaned and others where it did not.  I paid for the upgraded quartz finish and am completely dissatisfied with what is suppose to be the most beautiful part of my pool that I paid 55K for!
I asked Foley to look at it numerous times and their most recent response, "It looks fine to us". Really...It looks fine.  Is a pool plaster job suppose to have clear acid lines etched into it? I suggested we meet with Foley and the Plaster company and let them look at it together, not going to happen.  I should note the owner of the plaster company did come out initially and within a minute of looking at the pool asked Foley why they did not properly acid treat it.  The mistake was Foley assumed with this quartz plaster it did not require the 5 day traditional acid bath with traditional Plaster. Wrong assumption and I have to pay for it now with a shady appearance that was half way fixed with a crew that drained and acid washed (which has led to the streaks and splotchy areas).
I was hoping Foley would stand by their pool and re-plaster.  I am very disappointed in my pool and the Foley Family who runs sales and maintenance.
A few other maintenance issues took a year now to resolve.  One was water breaching from the spa was flowing through the stone and onto my deck keeping the deck area wet.  Numerous trips, one failed silicone fill that looks horrible which also failed and finally after a year of complaining about this was resolved my the mason etching under the stone lip and channel to stop the water from flowing down the stone.  The other which still is not fixed is water dripping from a water feature even when the valve was closed.  At least 4 visits on this problem.
so.......I am left to the social network to make people aware of my experience.  Crowd sourcing is the best and most accurate way to get and share information for consumer goods, products and services.   Foley asked me a while back to go onto Angies list last year when I completed the pool and provide a good recommendation.  Took me a year to sign up for Angies list and the rating is reflective of the service to date.

I liked the job they did.  They did a good job.  They cleaned up well after themselves.  The person who came to install the diving board was very personable.  The other workers worked fast.  They explained how everything will work, the amount of time they will need to do the job because it?s not a day job.  They also explained that it will take time before I can use the diving board.  It took a while for them to get here but it was explained to me because of the influx of their work that had to be done.  So, it was a couple of weeks before they sent somebody here.  But the time frame, from the point where they scheduled it to the time it was completed, matched exactly what they said.  They set the expectations well.

"There was a bad connection on the line and both parties were having a hard time hearing each other. Both sides got short with each other. So, I talked to her and apologize for Brandon being short with her. After we talked about it we felt that it would be better not to bid on this project since we had gotten off to such a bad start. I had Adam our sells rep call and explain to her that we wouldn't be bidding on the project. Sincerely, Kevin Foley"

These guys are very good - they did what they said they would do, when they said they would do it, and for the price quoted.  We had zero problems with them during the work (it took about 5 to 7 days to get is all done), and the results are excellent.  The people are professional and know what they are doing.  We asked for a couple of modifications during the process - they were very responsive, and didn't "nickel and dime" us on the changes.
I would use them again and I would recommend for this type of work.
