Exceptional service and Outstanding skills. I called Carlos to redo/repair a botched job done by another company on my wood flooring. He was very responsive and professional, performed an inspection and said he could do the job, gave me a fair price, and explained to me everything the previous company did wrong and what he would do to fix it. I was justifiably skeptical but trusted him to do the work. Carlos completed the job in 1 and 1/2 days; he was clean and quiet, protected everything from the dust and cleaned up when he was done. He kept me informed throughout the process. The finished product was Superb! The re-staining he did was a perfect match to the rest of the floor. I didn't think my floor could be saved but his craftsmanship is unmatched, and I couldn't be happier! If you need work done on your wood flooring call Carlos first, you'll be glad you did.

The work went very well and the workers were very friendly, hard working, and seemed totally focused on doing high quality work. The price seemed very reasonable for the labor and materials involved. The holes in the floor and some flooring that had been damaged by window unit air conditioners leaking water. The holes and water damaged flooring were patched with matching flooring. The floors were then sanded and beautifully refinished with two coats of varnish and all of the shoe modeling around the edges was replaced. When they returned to refinish the hall closet and kitchen floors, the quality of service and price were just as good. Removing the tar from under the kitchen flooring to expose the pine for refinishing looked like a huge task, but the finished pine kitchen floor was beautifully stunning. These guys are my go to wood floor people for any future work and I highly recommend them.

The basic job on the floor, the sanding, staining, all of that was really good, I would give it an A, but then there was a problem after that, and the price was excellent. After that, I noticed that there were some spaces between boards like up to a quarter inch wide, which is not acceptable. So I called them up and I said "Well this is kind of really awful here within these two places." and then he said "Well, of I'd known you're going to be picky, I would have not come, I would have charged you more". Then he came out and he put some sort of substance in to the crack but I still can dent up with my finger nail, I mean it's just slightly below the surface, so it looks like the floor has got a couple of large scars on it, and he said "If I have you call me again, I'm going to ask to charge you to fix it." He was pretty good, he came out when he said he would. I would tell them that the basic job is fine, but some of the details he lets go and then he's not careful, you'd have to oversee it really carefully. The basic job the sanding, the staining, the polyurethane, all of that part of it was really excellent, but it was just one that there was a problem, and the problem arose because they weren't careful in the first place.

Mr. Diaz & his assistant, Juan, arrived right at the scheduled time. They draped plastic sheeting around the work area, & then Juan got right to work tearing up the damaged section of flooring. Mr. Diaz left for a while (I assume to check on other work) [there was only room for one person to do the removal of the damaged area, anyway], & returned at lunchtime.
After a brief lunch break, both men started measuring & cutting the needed boards. 
By approximately 5PM, they had completed the work, cleaned up after themselves, loaded their truck, & departed.

The floor looks great! I couldn't be more pleased.

When I saw Diaz's wood floor reviews on Angie's list, I decided to submit a request for service via the site.  Carlos responded to my inquiry on the same day I submitted it.  He came out the next day and assessed the work, actually carried the box of hardwood down from my attic and sent me an estimate the following day (a Friday).  He gave me the price for the work, and said he could do the job beginning the following Monday.  He and his worker arrived on time, finished the project in less time than anticipated, and were very professional.  They took great care in cutting out the damaged boards and in installing the new ones. The work generated a lot of dust and they did a good job cleaning it up.  I have already recommended Carlos to a friend who is having a lot of difficulty with a name-brand floor store.  I would absolutely use him again.  
I did not get multiple estimates for this work, so I do not know if the price was competitive.  I feel however, that for the work that was done, for the time and effort involved and for the fact that two people were working, the price I paid was very reasonable.

• Carlos came to work on Sat morning to sand and start floor repairs.  we had already discussed price and color on his initial visit for the quote.
• He sanded and prepared the two rooms, filling the small gaps and cracks with filler , sanded and prepped after that.
• The floors were not in that bad of shape, I expected more damage, but after sanding the floors look of new wood....he stained and we let dry over night.
• He arrived promptly on Sunday morning to finish the job....and it looks AWESOME!!!
• Carlos was courteous, clean and knowledgeable......My floors look awesome and would recommend him to anyone needing work done. 

The work was scheduled after an in-person estimate for giving a new clear varathane coat to our living-room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, and two flights of stairs. We needed a specific date because we had moved out of the Townhome and we were leaving town three days later. Carlos arrived promptly as planned and completed the work in one day, instead of two. We left him alone to do his work and only returned when he called that it was done. We could not go in to see the results because the floors were still wet, but felt we could pay him and check the next morning. We were given a receipt for the work to give to future owners, should folow-up be needed. The next morning, we were on the way to another state, while our next door neighbor checked on the results for us. The neighbor said the results were excellent and that he too will be calling Carlos Diaz. Carlos was professional, friendly and direct. We felt comfortable with leaving it all up to him.

This was a big project, Carlos got started right away removing the tile and existing carpeting.  He matched up the new floors with the existing flooring, sanded and refinished resulting in a uniform floor throughout the home. Project came in on budget and the flooring looks great.
