Michael, the owner, serviced my sister's Dyson and we just picked up today - it was 5 years old and used in a home with multiple pets. I must say, it is like brand new. My sister was quite pleased and will definitely return. Nice people, quick return time, overall is a great small business that we love having in our neighborhood.

Family owned and operated business. I have used them for over 20 years for vacuum
purchases and repairs. Very
knowledgeable in all vacuum products and provide excellent customer
service. They only provide reliable
products and stand behind all sales and service. As noted above, I recently purchased a new
Sanitaire canister vacuum. If it holds
up as well as the prior products I have purchased from them it will still be
working long after I am gone.

Item dropped off for repair in June. Called approx. monthly for several months and was told "waiting for parts" Finally determined parts were unavailable so fixed powerhead with a workaround. Picked up item in October and, upon first use, determined cord retract hadn't been fixed as requested. Returned to Vacuum Depot and was told that if I'd requested that in the first place he'd have told me it was unrepairable. When told I had not requested that I asked for the service ticket to be pulled for confirmation and was told it was unavailable. So, basically he failed to follow-up on replacement parts w/o prompting, failed to return my phone calls, failed to make requested repairs, charged me $82 and called me a liar. Refund was requested and refused.

After two months I called to find out the status. I was told they would check and call me back. I never heard anything so two weeks later I called again. I was told they were expecting the parts. I asked if I could please be updated on the progress and was told that they didn't have time to call all their customers. When I asked if perhaps the length of time mine had been there didn't warrant a little consideration I was told that they were not Eureka and they make no money at all off this (this despite the fact that they had already charged me $40.00)

Our vacuum cleaner had not been serviced since we bought it. They changed the belts and cleaned it up and now it's as good as new. The owner is very serious about his business and explained to me that I need to keep the vacuum off the lowest settings because the brush rollers need room to work.

As reported in my previous review, I had taken my "elderly" Hoover in to Vacuum Depot for a free estimate. Upon learning it was just a matter of time before the bad bearing gave out, I decided it was time to invest in a "new" vacuum. Being on a limited budget & naturally conservative, I asked Mike, owner, if he had for sale any repaired/refurbished vacuums as good & sturdy as my old Hoover. [Note: yes, he sells many new vacuums.] He remembered a Hoover WindTunnel, a year or two old, that he repaired but the owner never returned for it, over six months now. Mike agreed to sell it to me for the repair cost (for replacement of switch, new belt). Today I went to see it, try it out. None of the tools were with it so Mike pieced a set together from his shop, at no charge, & one of my old ones. He also put new filters on. Along with the vacuum, I purchased a package of 3 micro filtration bags size Y at a reasonable price. It was a good shopping experience: Mike was helpful, professional & knowledgeable. I will not hesitate to do business at Vacuum Depot again, & recommend it to family, friends & neighbors.

I was using my Hoover vacuum attachment in a blind spot when there was a bad noise, then smoke! I turned it off immediately & left it off, thinking a small cat toy may have jammed something & overstressed the motor. I could see nothing I could do with it but look for a repair shop on Angie's List. The (2) places in my area had poor reviews, but I saw that Vacuum Depot had a decent score in the past & only (2) current bad reviews, which was really one review recorded twice. While that review was quite dismaying, I decided to give Vacuum Depot a chance with their offer of a free estimate. I did let them know upfront that I am a member of Angie's List & will certainly give a good review, to help offset the previous bad one, if that is warranted.
Please see above as to what took place with the staff of Vacuum Depot. As noted above, I am pleased with how my experience with them has gone today.
I will report about my next experience after I return to check out the repaired Hoover that I hope I will want to purchase from Vacuum Depot.

Just after Thanksgiving my vacuum on/off switch quit working. I took it into Vacuum Depot for repair - they encouraged me to look at other vacuums but told me I had a very good machine (although 12 years old) and that they rarely had to repair this brand because of its quality. I left it for repair thinking I would have it back within a week. After two weeks I had heard nothing - so I called and was told the part was on backorder. I asked when could I expect it, and was told that he would call their supplier and call me back to let me know. After another week of hearing nothing, I called back. They had no more information so I asked for a loaner (it was Christmas time and I needed to vacuum!) I was loaned a vintage Hoover which put so much dust and perfume in the air that even my Husband asked me to "air out " the house! I again called (it was now the week after Christmas) and asked about the part... Mike (owner, brother) said he would call the supplier and call me back to let me know. A full 6 weeks of having my machine they never once called me back. Monday after New Years, I did some research on the internet and called Miele USA. I was given the part# and the information that those parts were available at their warehouse and had not recently been backordered. I learned I could order it retail and have it within 4 days. I called Vacuum Depot to let them know and asked if I could have the phone number to call their supplier. This angered David (brother, owner) who told me he wasn't giving me that information and to come get my vacuum. I went to the store within the hour. He pulled my machine out of a sea of other machines awaiting repair, and told me to GET OUT. There was no working it out with him, he continued to loudly demand that I GET OUT accusing me of acting rudely.... and telling me "If the part is available in New Jersey, then send it there, NOW GET OUT". I have never been treated so threateningly. I have worked retail many of my working years and regardless of how the customer acted, NEVER talked to anyone in this way. Don't subject yourself!

Took my machine to EVANS on Camp Bowie and they fixed it on the spot!!

Vacuum belts were changed, attachments cleaned and substitute attachments were found for those that were missing. I was extremely satisfied with the work and the repair person even told me what other brands of attachments would fit the vacuum if I needed to replace any other pieces. The only thing I'd be careful about is that if you want the vacuum returned spotless, you should know that this service is about the motor and the workings of the machine, not the looks, so don't expect it to look like new when you get it back, just to work like new.

I took my vacuum in to be repaired on Monday. They called me back on Tuesday to tell me what the problem was and how much it would cost to repair it. The vacuum was fixed and ready to be picked up on Friday. I was pleased with the service and the cost of the repair.
