15 minutes prior to the appointment I received a call informing me that they would be charing me a $250 estimate fee. Totally blown away by this as the week prior when we setup the appointment the estimate was free. Shady if you ask me, waiting until 15 minutes prior to an appointment to ***** a fee.

"In all respect your appointment window was 7-11 with notes as close to eight as possible because you had prior engagements after 12. You proceeded to decline the service and let the office staff know that you knew plumbers that would do the diagnosis for free. Would you have not disconnected you would have heard the office personal know that the fee does go towards repairs. Still not sure why you are upset if you can get the diagnosis for free from another plumber. Sorry we could not provide a free diagnosis but we do provide free visual estimates that is what we advertise."

It went so well. Terry with Plumb Shield Plumbing came out on a Sunday to assess my problem. I hired him that day. His quote for the job was a fair price. I appreciated his kindness and of course, his experience. By Monday morning the digging was done and by mid morning, my new pipe was in the ground and functional. Tuesday the water dept came out to inspect the job and that afternoon, the hole was filled in. I was so impressed with the work that was done. I am still bragging about Terry’s awesome service. I am also excited to know that I now have a plumber who is honest and very capable of any task I will have in the future. Thank you Terry!!
