Bought angie deal for service call. The only issue with the oven was a reset button needed to be pushed. The oven had to be pulled out to push the button. It only took a few minutes, but I think charging $100 on top of the service call is not reasonable. The tech was on time and solved the problem, but I can't recommend someone if I think they charge too much.

Start to finish in less than 72 hours. JD was prompt and fast worker. Recommended replace of whole cook top than fix. Appreciated that very much. Thanks Dyer
Description of Work: I used Dyer's with the Angies deal. Service was performed with in 3 days. Replaced ice maker in fridge. Had a fan problem in Cook top stove and the estimate was high and would be better off replacing the whole cook top.

The service went fine. The technician came out and quickly identified the problem. He called me later that day with an estimate for the parts and labor. We ended up deciding not to repair the dishwasher but to replace it. Great communication by email & the technician was very helpful.

It really didn't work well. I ended up buying a new one. It just never was quite the way it should have been. It just stopped, it wasn't doing anything but making noise. When you wrong out your clothes and them over to the laundryman, it's just one of those things that wasn't handy. It was only two years old, I bought it when I moved to my apartment. I'm just wondering all along the people who moved that unit fro my apartment to this condo might have not known how to install it very well or something. It should have lasted longer than that. It just sounded that it was making noise but it wasn't washing anymore. I called them back because it didn't sound right and it was the same day. I just decided it just isn't running the way it should. I don't think I paid more than that. He was good. They came ion the time frame as I recall. I think I called the following week and the thing just wasn't working. I just went on and looked for another one. I think he checked it and he didn't seem to take there was any problem. You can tell after you had the machine for awhile if it's doing anything or not. I was just afraid something was going to happen, I was going to have a flood or a problem and other things that gives me the hibbijibies that I'm going to have with water situation all over the place.

It went very well. The $69 was the price for them coming out and doing the service call. There was an additional $75 for the part. Luckily, that was all that was wrong with it. I had to replace that. I ordered it and it was good to go. They were very good because they were very conscientious and gave me more information. They were very thorough. They told me what was going on. They told me what to look for and not to look for. They were very helpful. I was just pleased all the way around.
Description of Work: I purchased a big deal for Oliver Dyer's Appliance Sales & Service. They did a diagnostic on my microwave because it wasn't working. I was able to order a part and get it repaired.

I called Whirlpool, described the cooktop problem . They had to research and refer me to the closest Warranty Repair location. I scheduled an appointment for them to come. The technician arrived, looked at the range top and without hesitation said "this has been damaged in shipment or some other way and Whirlpool will replace it without question." It was another week for shipping, ect. until the technician could return an install the replacement range top. I purchased a new range that I could not use for three weeks because the seller and the salesman ignored my phone calls, e-mail. And in addition to that we we're charged for a part they did not use when they delivered the range. I made them aware of that to no avail...it's been ignored.
Description of Work: We purchased a range on 5/4/2015 from Martin Borden. It was delivered on time 5/6/2015. The cook top was obviously damaged. There were smudges that couldn't be removed and it was scratched. I called Mr. Borden that day and had to leave a message. No returned call, that day nor the next. I sent him an e-mail explaining the cook top problem and my dissatisfaction that I was being ignored. Mr. Borden finally called me at the end of the week to tell me to call the manufacturer, which I was unable to do until the following week. He was short with me.

This gentleman tried very hard to fix our problem. He was courteous, professional, punctual but through no fault of his own, could not repair our washer. He brought out 4 separate pumps and installed them over a period of 5 days but was unable to get the washer running again. After bringing out the last pump and installing it without success, he recommended another repair business. We believe that the pumps that were manufactured in Mexico must have just had a bad run.

The man who was sent out was great. He was professional. Offered us a choice in repairing the dryer. Cleaned up after himself and the dryer is working great. We appreciate Dyer's!!
Description of Work: We called Dyer's due to a noise our clothes dryer was making. They came out on a service call on a special from Angie's List. They told us what the problem was, and gave us a recommendation. We opted to replace all four "wheels" instead of the one that was damaged.

They were exceptional. It turned out the problem was major but it was covered under a two year warranty with the manufacturer. They came out twice and didn't charge us anything else for it. They were very friendly and very punctual. They did exactly what they said they were going to do. I'd definitely recommend them. They came out and thoroughly inspected the refrigerator and diagnosed it.
Description of Work: I purchased a Big Deal to get my refrigerator repaired. I only paid the initial price of the Big Deal. There were no extra charges.

Very pleased with service. Replied quickly and arrived on time. Technician was professional, kind and helpful. Honest in explaining not much we could do to repair the machine, but was still able to adjust it so that we can get a little more time out of it before we have to purchase another one.

It took the serviceman about 45 seconds to diagnose the problem, and 10 minutes to repair it. The work is guaranteed. I am extremely happy with Oliver Dyer's Appliance and I will use them again. The serviceman, Steve was extremely polite and professional. The price was acceptable. of course, who is completely satisfied with the cost of repairs! I paid for his knowledge and professionalism. It wasn't a bad deal if you look at it that way. I ran a load of laundry, and my washing machine was as good as new.

Great repairman who knew what he was doing. Could have saved money by doing it ourselves, BUT the replacement part we needed was not available and he knew which one would work instead. Would recommend though pricey.

They were very helpful. We are in an older brick home and the space was limited. We wanted to try to get the largest refirigerator we could for the amount of money and the space. We found one and they found one. When they came out to deliver and install it, it was such a fit. The serviceman really worked and got it in. It was really close so he had to put in a lot of extra effort to get it just right. The price was comparable to whatever place else we looked.

The repairman came two days after we contacted him through Angie's List and paid a 69.00 service fee (included above). He was very cordial and professional and explained to us in advance what he needed to repair. He took the time to explain how we needed to maintain the dryer to avoid unnecessary costs for repairs in the future. The dryer is working perfectly now! And we are happy we don't need to replace it quite yet. This is a local repair company we would use again. I recommnd them highly.

Called on Monday morning to set up appointment. I was told I would receive a call Tuesday morning between 8 and 9am to tell me what time they would be out. I was given a window of 1-3pm that same day. He arrived just before 2pm, turned on the oven and immediately knew what the problem was. He had the part in the truck and fixed it in no time. Very pleased!
