We used Lone Star Blinds and Shutters twice in the last 2 years for wood plantation shutters (once during a home remodel and the other time to add shutters to our gameroom and guest bedroom) and each time Janice and her team did an excellent job for us. It was very easy to set up an appointment and Janice gave us thoughtful good suggestions for our arched windows and other window configurations. The quote was very reasonable compared to several other bids we evaluated and we had confidence Lone Star would do a great job for us. We were delighted! The installation was exactly as promised and the installation team was meticulous and took their time to make sure the shutters fit perfectly. They look beautiful and we recommend Lone Star Blinds and Shutters highly. They are professional, easy to work with, and the quality of the shutters and installation is excellent.

It was ok. It was good. I had a lot of problems with the shutters I bought from them, but I got it worked out. I had trouble with the operation and installation from day one. took multiple service people to come out, including the owner of the company, to get them worked the first time properly. The second time, it took multiple people to come out, and a little arguing on my part, to make them reach out to Hunter Douglas. To get someone on the phone, to figure out why my remote control would not work properly. Third time things weren't working correctly, and they came out. The guy stand on the headboard of my bed, got the blind out of the window. It was up high, they knew exactly where they installed them in the first place. He wanted to stand on top of my headboard, and I said no. He insisted that it would be ok. I told him how much that bed actually cost me. I had it for eight or nine years, but I still paid a lot for it. If it broke, I expected his company to replace it. He then said he will go find a ladder. They been to my house so many times, sometimes they would come right out, sometimes it would be weeks. They are nice people. They just do not have installers to install the product right, when I bought it.

Lone Star Blinds did a great job. We called Lone Star Blinds and Janice came to our house the same day to get the window measurements. She told us it will take 2 weeks to get the shades from the manufacturer. Two weeks later the installer contacted us to schedule a time to do the installation. The installer arrived on time to do the install. The installation was fast and their were no problems.

Janice was wonderful.  She came to our new home to let us know what was available.  Absolutely no pressure, and was very professional.  She measured all windows and gave us a quote that evening.

While it seemed like a long time until the shutters arrived, when they did, we were thrilled.  We absolutely love them!

They explained the process, gave me options, measured the windows, and ordered the blinds.  When the blinds arrived, they scheduled the installation.  The installation was about 3 hours.  The blinds looked perfect.  The installer was punctual and very nice.

Janice came to my home and measured all windows that were to have new blinds - new blinds were installed approx. two weeks later by her installer.  The blinds fit perfectly.

Janice is very personable and professional and the cost was very reasonable.

I will definitely use her again if I need new blinds.

Measured two small bathroom windows for shutters and the estimate was really high. I was given an explanation of the benefits of one product but not really offered any alternatives. I have not sought out any comparable estimates so maybe this one was reasonable but it was more than I thought it was worth and wanted to spend.

The price is low and  the quality is high. When they said they were gonna be here, they were always here on time. The installer was just absolutely wonderful.

They looked great! After they did the install of the first group, we liked them so much my husband called them back to finish out the downstairs. They should be here any day!

Everything went smoothly from beginning to end.  Consultation was simple.  Blinds were ready on time and installed quickly.  Old blinds were taken down for us also.  No complaints.  Thank you!

I had contact with Janice at Lone Star via email because I knew exactly what I wanted and I had professional measurements. Janice was able to give me an estimate within minutes and we made an appointment.  One year ago, I purchased shutters from Lowe's and love them so I wanted to match what I had for the bedroom.  I received a coupon in the mail from another blind company, but they did not have the same product. So I went on Angie's List to see if any one carried what I was looking for.  Lone Star carries the same manufacturer at a better price with faster service.  Janice and her team were fantastic, efficient and professional.  I highly recommend Lone Star Blinds and Shutters.  

The owner was prompt in coming out to measure for the new blinds.  She measured each window and arrived at an estimate.  She brought samples and went over each with us.  We accepted her estimate.  The blinds were to be ready in 5-10 days but we told her we would contact her when the remainder of the remodeling was done and have the blinds installed last.  She was agreeable to this.  She requires half the project cost at time of estimate and the remainder at installation.  Her installer was prompt and efficient in installing the blinds.  He cleaned up after installation.  I would use Lone Star Blinds again and recommend them to you.

They installed shades and shutters in our home.  Janice came to our home and brought samples.  She had many samples of shades for us to choose from.  She was knowledgeable about the products she was selling and gave us a fair price.  Our shades took about 4 weeks to install from the time we ordered.  Our shutters about 8 weeks.  Janice was very good about keeping us informed and giving us updates about the arrival our product and she returns calls promptly.  Our shades and shutters look beautiful in our home and we couldn't be happier.  I would definitely call Lone Star again.

When I called and left a message, Janice got right back to me, and we scheduled an appointment that same week. She spent alot of time with me, picking the right colors, etc. She told me it would be 2-3 weeks, I received my blinds in 1 1/2 weeks!! Installed. I would definitely recommend Lone Star Blinds.
Also wanted to note-I called Hoffler blinds, left a message, and the guy never returned my call. Must be nice to have so much work, you don't need any new customers.
