1. Bought a top of the line $600 TORO Lawn Mower and in it's first month of use, the deck cracked at one of the welds, when I asked what could be done (warranty replacement or at least re-weld it) they told me to basically take a hike and admonished me for abusing the mower? Apparently mowing is abuse. I called TORO myself and they had a new deck sent to another local mower mechanic that day. 2. They and the Ace Hardware at Westcliff are the only two shops I know of that are STIHL certified. However, they service is slow, expensive and you generally have to call them to find out if they are finished. My final straw was was when after taking it in one of my saws for a full service, (about $150 for new chain, oil, filters and some other parts) they gave me my saw back with no bar oil in it. One of my guys almost ruined the saw using it that day. It would be one thing if they hadn't charged me for bar oil, but they did and when I called about it, they wanted to argue with me about weather there was any oil in there and then got after me for not checking it myself. My experience with the Ace at Westcliff has been the complete opposite. They have been A-OK all around. Overall, I'm sad to see this once good store going downhill. I know they are almost an institution around fort worth, but the only justification for their high prices vs. the chains should be level of service and that seems to be declining.

THE SALES REPAIR PERSONNEL WERE VERY HELPFUL. THE COST TO FIX THE EQUIPMENT WAS ALMOST AS MUCH AS IT WAS TO PURCHASE A NEW ONE, SO I ENDED UP PURCHASING. I AM VERY PLEASED WITH THE CHOICE THEY HELPED ME MAKE.
