"First time I’ve ever been forced to bite my tongue and tone down a response to a negative review by a fellow member of Angie’s List. This tells you how upsetting my experience with this unwanted customer has been. She scheduled an estimate for a roof leak and was given a 2 - 4 window. She demanded that we call her father 20 minutes before arrival so that he could meet us there for the appointment. Instead she mistakenly gave us her work number in which we left three messages policing her schedule. She never got a hold of her father while we continued to be in route. She never returned a phone call between the 30 minute drive nor the whopping 15 minutes we waited for them to keep a designated appointment. She called the office 50 minutes after the first initial attempt to contact her and had no clue as to why we had to proceed to the next scheduled Angie’s List member. While I can't speak to the nature of her habits, I would say that if she is this careless with the all "F" grades and inconsiderate with keeping a per-scheduled appointment, it can be highlighted as a reflection of her disrespect for other members time as well as my technicians. "Unfortunately all roofs are not the same and the risk are not equal. Due to this the coupon clearly states *Additional charges may apply for roofs with a greater pitch than 8/12- ask service provider for details before purchase * The $150.00 additional fee, that was rejected, is applied directly to the insurance company for you and my technicians safety should an accident occur. OSHA defines it as dangerous and mountain climbing harnesses/ lanyards must be utilized. The scheduling department dispatched a technician and he showed up at the exact time you expected him. Although our time and fuel was utilized, a refund was given, as well as no additional penalties applied for our efforts in honoring what you had purchased. If a mediocre grade is deemed fair in your eyes for following a "safety first" policy then we will take it on the chin. I cannot pass along a judgment of wrong doing to my staff for their efforts to correct what is perceived or overlooked by members reading the coupon purchased. Your grade and opinion is solely yours and I respect that. "Thank you for taking the time to post your review. Unfortunately the customer was not home for their assigned appointment. However, with the customer being a no show my technician performed the repairs as well as some extra work not outlined in the coupon. The customer was notified threw emails and was provided pictures before/ after the work, so the customer could see we arrived on time and completed the work. We replaced some shingles that wear on hand to keep from charging the customer an extra material bill as well as a trip charge. Although the color was a shade off, the location was on the backside of the house and not visible to the street as well as 2 stories up. This allowed for the savings of the $200.00 dollars we would have had to charge to purchase and retrieve the exact match and hoped the customer would agree to the executive decision made while on the premises. "Thank you for taking the time to post a review of the services you received.I was equally surprised to see that my technician overlooked safety and OSHA rules in which he risked his life on the 8/12,10/12 and 14/12 pitches that your home has.He is only assigned to stay within the limits of the coupon offered and went far out of his way to please you. We agreed to participate in the Angies List promotion, that has been fine tuned for purchase, and that Angies List has emailed to billions of customers over the past 10 years. Angies List placed the "fine print "on the whole left side of the computer screen so that people with seeing disabilities could visualize it.Furthermore the Angies List department made it clear to all aspects of what was going to be performed so even persons with limited IQ levels could comprehend the service offered. The additional charges for steep/ height of $150.00 was for our specialist equipped with fall protection equipment ($50.00) and to implement our insurance for your protection.(insurance co. charges us $100.00) This amount was rejected by you as safety of my technician was not your concern and price outweighed liability for an accident should it occur. We do prologize that googling 8/12 pitch on your computer before purchasing the coupon might have been an issue for you.We also apologize for your vision impairment that caused some confusion on what you were reading before you purchased it. I have reprimanded my technician for taking matters in his own hands and risking his own well being for your comfort. Although you have said YES to hire again I have also Red Flagged your name in our data base.Due to your value of someones life,and or disturbed metal disabilities, we would like to kindly bow out of any future relations. I can see where a technician came out on the morning of the 3rd,Unfortunately mother nature struck north DFW ,devastating all upper cities,with baseball size hail that very same evening. My technician was immediately overwhelmed, as can occur, during a weather catastrophe.However this is no excuses and he was reprimanded for loosing track of your repair request. Upon noticing the review,I responded,by sending another representative and a repair technician who arrived within one hour of your review posting on angies list.We want to thank you for accepting the repair order and look forward to your updated review of our recovery.
