It took about 3 hours to do all of the work. I have two units. I have an attic. He was up there quite a bit of time. They are very thorough getting the work done and what we need to keep an eye on.

I contacted Lowes re: purchasing a new unit since my old unit needed $1k+ in repairs, and was advised Lowe's works w/AirCo. I met w/Kristin (AirCo) and Tony (Lowe's) at my house re: proposal/agreements. We discussed 3 models (3.5ton, and (2) 4 ton units) I could choose from including financing for both. I told them I was expecting a check from my Warranty program to help w/the cost, and once I received the check I would contact them re: replacing my unit. Once I received my warranty check, I contacted Tony, he came back to my house, I signed installation paperwork and an installation date/time was set up. I actually called Kristin back a few days later to change the date to earlier since I was able to re-arrange my schedule and Kristin advised 'not a problem'. The day of installation, the crew was on time and professional. My unit was installed, even though the installation took a little longer than usual, according to the worker, and I was without cool air for quite some time. The 'B' rating is due to: The door/frame to the A/C storage closet had to be removed in order to place the unit inside, and I was told I would receive a call from AirCo w/a date/time that a employee would come by to close up the hole. I didn't receive a call the next day, and after a few days I had to call to inquire about closing of the closet (on 6/29/17). I was also told that the City of FW would have to come out to check the installation. While informing AirCo, the closet had not been closed yet, I also scheduled for the City of FW to come out to the house (06/30/17). I was told I would receive a phone call prior to the City/AirCo's arrival and the time frame would be 12-5pm. The day of I didn't receive a phone call, and the City employee was at my door at 11am. Good thing I had not left to run errands yet before my 12-5pm service time. The city employee checked out the installation, but advised since the closet door had not been closed, he couldn't grant the permit. This was a waste of time for the employee and for myself. I would have scheduled the City inspector to come once the closet was closed if I had known the city's policies. Also the attic access inside my garage was left open. I had requested for this to also be resolved, and was advised an AirCo employee would come out b/t 12-5pm (on 6/30/17). The AirCo employee never called or showed up. I called AirCo again 7/3/17, and informed the New Installation's Dept. Rep. the AirCo employee did not show or call, and I had not received a phone call from the carpenter to close the closet. The rep. advised the Carpenter would call me today. A few hrs later I received a call from the Carpenter, who advised he could come by later on today and close the closet. The Carpenter arrived, and closed the A/C closet. The entry way to the attic is still open. I will call again.

The price was good and the installation was good, but not much after that. The work was excellent. The cost was very good. The installation of the unit was excellent. I did have problems afterward, I called them and they came out at ten o’clock at night and fix the problem. The unit has been functioning very well.

It went perfect. It was done in less than 4 hrs by Adrian and Martin. They left the place spic and span. Showed me how to use the new smart thermostat. The weather was too cold to properly charge the coolant. They are coming back tomorrow (about 4 months after the install) to do that work free of charge. I hadn't needed the AC. In my opinion it couldn't have been done better.

I recommended this company to my daughter since they had installed the system when the home was built and they have good reviews on Angie's List. The service tech checked system and cleaned coils, and made suggestions for the future life of the dual zone system.

I had many HVAC companies come to quote system replacement of both systems. Brands included Trane, American Standard and Carrier. Some companies only wanted to focus on specific units, while others (like Airco) were willing to talk through all the models and price points. Airco (Kristin) talked through Trane and Carrier units and highlights of each and the value at each level. I liked that the quote was very specific in the scope of work and what would be replaced as compared to many other companies that verbally touched on many areas, but did not specifically commit to anything other than a HVAC model to be installed. While the reviews here were god overall, I asked for references, as well. The two different people I called were very complementary of their installations and had overall good/great experience with Airco. One other company that I liked did not give me references after requested. I liked Airco, but actually had better pricing from a competitor. When I discussed further, they matched the price and I decided to move forward with Airco. Airco was able to schedule the installations within days. While another company felt they would replace both units in one day, Airco committed to one unit per day. Given access to the attic and some ductwork changes, one day would have been too difficult and would have encouraged shortcuts. For the installation, they laid down tarp from the front door, up stairs and to attic entrance. The three-person team worked well together. They were very quick about demolition and were very detail-oriented for the installation. One of the techs worked on the outside unit while the other two worked in the attic. They installed the new units XR17/XV80 very carefully. The built all new plenums with dampers. If any future adjustments are needed, this will be handy. They did a great job with sealing and insulation of the plenums. Both units were installed with a 4" media filter. They provide a MERV 8 filter. While I would have liked the higher end filtration systems, I couldn't justify the cost. I subsequently purchased/installed MERV 11 filters (Kristin recommended against the MERV 13). The MERV 8 filters may have been good enough, but with allergies, I wanted to go with a level I know resolved problems we had in the past. I also had surge suppressors installed on the units. For the cost, I wanted to make sure I didn't have to re-buy anything due to any events in or out of my control. The installs also included gas line drip legs and new drain pans with overflow alarms/protection. They installed all new disconnects with breakers outside, as well. I am very pleased with the installations. As a note, no other company I talked to had discussed that they would pull a permit. This was another reason why I purchased the systems from Airco. After the installation, the city inspector came through as part of the permit inspection/completion. The inspector looked at everything and specifically called out a few things he liked with the installation. Overall, the units seem to run well and with the vfd blower, the house temperature no longer swings as much. The thermostats are nice (Trane XL824), and also have internet connectivity, which while handy, isn't used by us that much. Once we set up the schedules, there isn't much else to do. Airco also registered all the units for me, ensuring that we have the full warranty (I hadn't realized that without registration, many companies reduce the warranty). I was very happy working with Kristin. The installers were great and the systems work well. The price was competitive and I will do business with them again (also bought service contract).

Sent tech out to tell me what I already knew & told them. AC/Heat completely shot/rusted & needed replacement. Charged me $85 for call which they said would be credited if I hired them. I hired them for $6500. I requested they check the ducts for leaks which they did not. This is a rental so I wasn't always there. I was never notified the when the started or finished. 2 weeks later I got a call from them saying I owed them $85. Confused, I asked why & was told it was for the initial diagnosis which they forgot to charge me. When I inquired about the fact I should have been credited since I hired them they just got rude. Today I noticed they charged my CC $85 without authorization. This company has no communication skills & will charge your CC without permission.
