About us
We sell, install and service security systems, security cameras, intercom/video intercom systems, medical alert systems and more. We offer extremely low monitoring rates for our security systems, can monitor them with or without a phone line and WE DO NOT REQUIRE A LONG-TERM CONTRACT. We also do residential and commercial prewires and repair service on monitored and non-monitored security systems. The vast majority of our services are done by in-house employment. WE are licensed by the Texas Department of Public Safety Private Security Bureau and our license # is B14455. We custom fit our services to meet each of our customer's needs. Our pricing is dependent on the services and equipment needed to complete each job. In most cases, we can give a general quote over the phone with a detailed quote being rendered after an on-site inspection has been completed. Our standard monitoring fee for security systems is $24.95 per month for cellular monitoring which does not require a phone line. WE DO NOT REQUIRE A LONG-TERM CONTRACT for our monitored customers.

On arrival the tech took a look and said that as he had to run a wire into the attic, it may take extra time and so could cost more.
We said OK.
We were pleased the work was completed in only 30mins. However instead of being charged $139+tax as quoted, we were charged $179+tax. I called the company as I felt there had been a mistake - the guy had only been here 30mins- but was told the price was correct.
The gentleman then explained that because he had to go into the attic there was an additional charge (he didn't mention it at the time), also the $139 was essentially a call out charge, and the 2hours quoted included his driving time. Ouch, that wasn't made clear either.
Wow, if this had all been explained to me up front I would never have gone with this company, as it was all sounding like fuzzy math.
I had no clue that I should have asked him how much of my allotted 2hrs was going to be taken up by his traveling time, so that I would know how much time would be left to do the actual work!
Just think, use this guy and he could be eating lunch or sitting in traffic racking up dollars in your checkbook for an hour or more
before he even arrives, there's no way to know - scarey.
I explained to him we were very unhappy about the confusing pricing, but he was not prepared to address this. When I mentioned I would not be able to give him a good review - he just commented he already had a lot of good reviews on Angie's List and that he would rebut any comments I made.
This guy did good work, but our experience was that once in the door he would push the price up any way he could.
We will stick with businesses that have clear, honest pricing in future where you don't need to know what "special questions" .you should ask up front. BEWARE!
"We regret that there was a misunderstanding of our pricing and pricing structure on this project. The following is a direct quote from our Angie's List Business Description: "Our pricing is dependent on the services and equipment needed to complete each job. In most cases, we can give a general quote over the phone with a detailed quote being rendered after an on-site inspection has been completed." Our pricing structure is not based on an hourly rate. When Mr. [Member name] initially called to make an appointment with our company, he was quoted a flat rate fee of $139 plus tax that covered our trip to his home, a diagnostic and assesment of his needed repair and, if minor, the repair itself. He was informed that additional costs would be incurred for additional work or equipment that may be necessary to complete his project above the $139 that had already been quoted, and he agreed and made an appointment with our company. A return call was made by us to confirm our appointment and the customer's address, and the phone was answered by Mrs. [Member name]. She questioned the pricing that had been quoted and was informed that the price was correct and she then confirmed our appointment. Upon arrival to his home Mr. [Member name] stated that the existing, exposed wire that had been connected to his old front door was not usable and that a new wire would need to be installed for the new front door. At that point, he was informed that the new wiring and work that was to be done in the attic would be an additional charge above the initial $139 plus tax that he was quoted. He then stated that was fine and to proceed with the work. WHEN THE WORK WAS COMPLETED, WE PROVIDED MR. [Member name] WITH OUR SERVICE TICKET THAT STATED THE PRICE FOR ALL WORK THAT WAS PREFORMED, AND A STATEMENT THAT ACKNOWLEDGES THE SATISFACTORY COMPLETION OF THE WORK AS DESCRIBED IN THE SERVICE TICKET WHICH HE SIGNED, DATED AND RECEIVED A COPY FOR HIS RECORDS. Nothing was mentioned, at this time, of any discrepancy with our pricing or work that was performed. We clearly stated our pricing on three seperate occasions, and our service ticket was accepted, signed and dated before Mrs. [Member name]'s review was submitted to Angie's List. Again we regret the misunderstanding of our pricing and pricing structure."

We agreed to make all the doors secure and he installed the necessary hardware to make that complete.
He installed what we agreed and he priced it as we had agreed.
I would surely use Lloyd again.
