Shut off valve for the hot water heater stopped working correctly. ?We had water from the hot water heater running into the yard. ?A large amount of water. ?We called and explained the situation and even though they had no available appointments they called us when one of the plumbers got free and were able to get the water stopped and repair the problem.?

Absolute Plumbing had installed a new water heater a couple of months ago, and we weren't getting proper flow. Michael came at the agreed time, diagnosed the problem and solved it, and didn't charge anything. The flow issue has been resolved. I will certainly call next time we have  plumbing need.

Bryan called to let me know he was on the way at 10:15 (the window of service was 10-12). He arrived with his apprentice 10 min later. They looked at the faucets and gave me 2 options, new washers or new faucets. Explained the pros and cons. Since we have been through this twice before with other plumbers and not very good results, I opted for the new faucets/bibs. They were able the replace them and were done in 30-45 min. In the past we tried the washer route and then had to have the faucets replaced ( both times they had to open the walls inside and out! ). I'm very pleased with the service and have already passed their name on to my parents whom need some work done.

Absolute did a thorough job repairing my dishwasher air gap. However when contacting them to schedule a large amount of work at another property installation... Installation of a new water heater...toilet...replacement of all water on/off valves for sinks and toilets and washer dryer...the receptionist Mary was very unprofessional. So much so that I decided to take my work elsewhere. Really...I am a reasonable person with humility and respect for others. Mary behaved in a manner contradictory to this. Too many other highly rated competitors to spend my money with that are eager to take on work.
Response from Absolute Plumbing of Flower Mound

"I would very much like to understand how you were treated. Mary has been with us for several years and as I see always quite professional. When complaints like this arise I would always like to hear both sides of the incident to prevent it from arising in the future, and be able to make corrections to staff procedures. My personal email is [email protected] . I look forward to the opportunity to hear from you and better assist in the future."

I was able to go online on Labor day and schedule an appointment for the afternoon of the next day.  When 30 minutes past the scheduled appointment rolled by without a phone call, I called the office to verify the appointment.  I was told Bryan and his assistant were running late from their prior call.  I did get a call from the office when they were on their way, and they showed up an hour late.  The installation was quick and efficient.  The price was good.  I would definitely use Absolute Plumbing again.

I was very happy with the plumbing work.  The plumber went right to work and didn't waste any time.  The plumber needed to get parts and that didn't seem to take that long either.  When the job was done the plumber showed and explained the work in full. I was very happy with the quality of work and felt the price charged was fair.  Anytime I need plumbing work I will be calling Absolute Plumbing.

Phone call was answered professionally and appointment made for the next day.  Plumber, Brian, called and was able to come by early, which was great.  Very thorough - shut off the recirculating pump on the water heaters which no one has ever done before - before shutting off water to the house.  Replaced part quickly and showed me what was done.  Got everything back up and running. Courteous and knowledgeable.  Will definitely use again.
FYI, the Angie's list coupon saved me $25 off the service call.  Bonus!

They were awesome. Nobody else could figure it out. And what was happening is that, the line happen to be hooked into the brain of our air conditioning unit that pulls the water out of the air. It should dissipate that it drains down through a plumbing line to the bathroom below. And so, we had some water damage that was occurring. We did not realize that it was over the bathroom area and the water damage passed in one of our closets. And with those guys, they fix it all up and it works great. For two hours, they did a great job. We will recommend them to our neighborhood.

Bryan was very punctual and professional. He quickly evaluated and fixed the problem by blowing out the AC drain line with CO2. $100 seems a little high for 20 minutes of time and 2 CO2 cartridges, but I figure that's the cheapest you can get for a plumbing house call anywhere and he did a great job so I would definitely use Absolute Plumbing again.

Service was excellent. He was able to check everything I asked him for ahead of time, and also took the time to show me how to turn on and off my house water main. He even squished a giant black widow spider that was hiding in the meter box. He was able to do the repair for much less than he originally estimated and I appreciated his honesty. I will definitely use this company in the future.

Bryan was great.  He called when he was on his way and was actually early.  We had a time range from 10 to noon and he was there by 9:30.  He was very professional and courteous.  He had to let the glue set before turning the water back on, so he ran another call and then came right back and finished up ours.  He did clean up and explained everything that he did and charged for.  Their prices are reasonable and work was completed in a reasonable time frame.  I would definitely recommend Absolute Plumbing of Flower Mound.  A+

We are thankful that they noticed the code violation/fire hazard. They did excellent work. We did encounter one problem, but they are a company with integrity and made it right. They are blessed to have Mike as the "master plumber"--EXCELLENT customer service and a very skilled plumber--give him a raise!!

They were on time and they worked efficiently.  They cleaned up their mess, and did what they were supposed to do.  The demeanor of the staff was absolutely pretty good.  Actually, when I first used them, I got them from Angie's List for my home.  And then later on, I used them for my business and they actually put in a drain for grease trap.  I spent thousands of thousands, it's about 35,000 to 38,000, but that was for commercial use.  When he did work on my house, he changed a couple of water valve in the front lawn.  It was my sprinkler system that was leaking.  He charged me less than the others.  I would absolutely use them again in the future.

Absolute Plumbing replaced my 16-year-old water heater with a similar model. They installed the correct dielectric connectors (the original plumber connected dissimilar metals which caused corrosion in the tank) and brought the installation up to current code, including an expansion tank and drip pan. Michael and Bryan both did an excellent job installing the unit. The only quibble I have is they charged a bunch - for instance, they charged an extra $84 to install two extra ball valves.
Response from Absolute Plumbing of Flower Mound

"Thank you for the comments and for allowing us to work in your home. Yes the cost to replace the weather heater is expensive but 75 gallon gas heaters are both more costly than standard 50 gallon tanks and as you could see on site takes 3 of us to remove and re-set. The ball valves were an add at the time of install and we only charged for the parts and time it took to remove the original valves and install the new ones. Again thank you for the business and valuable feedback we look forward to working with you in the future."

This company gets an "F"in my book. I will never use them again. They are all about themselves and do not try to help the customer. I do not recommend this company at all, and I strongly recommend that you find another plumber.

When I asked them to split the invoice on two totally unrelated repairs, the service tech was very defensive and insisted that I could not do that., even though I had already called the office manager and had it approved.  I had to call back again to get them to do this.  An inconvenience to me and very bad customer service.

I had this company install two electric anodes on my new water heaters two years ago. At the time of the work, they made no mention that this would void the warranty on the new water heaters I had just purchased from them. Now, two years later, when I had them remove the two electric anodes and replace them with the original, unused anodes, they also made no mention of the voided warranty on the invoice provided to me at the time of payment. But two days later I received a revised invoice in the mail where it was very emphatically bolded and highlighted that the warranty on the water heaters was now voided due to the anode alterations. Why would the warranty be voided by replacing the original anodes? This is ridiculous.  They should have told me that the warranty would be voided when they originally installed the electric anodes two years ago. Very bad customer service.

Also, when they replaced the electric anodes this week, they conveniently broke two water flex connection lines that resulted in an additional, unexpected expense to me. The tech did not discuss with me in advance that the lines would probably have to be replaced after removing the anodes. When I talked to the office manager about this, she said the flex lines are for a one time use only and always have to be replaced. So the company knew that I would incur this expense but failed to make me aware of it before I authorized the repair.  If I had known this before the repair, I may not have authorized it.  As a result, it probably cost me more to remove the electric anodes than just to buy brand new ones. A surprise to me and very bad customer service.

It is true that I have used this company in the past, but I only called them back this time because I thought one of my repairs might be covered by their warranty. I would suggest that there are other plumbers out there with better customer service. If you don't like surprises and cocky service techs with little respect for their customers , I suggest you avoid this company.
Response from Absolute Plumbing of Flower Mound

"I'm utterly lost. We have worked for you several times over the years. To my knowledge the office manager discussed the items and probable cost of repairs with you before tech was dicpached. Im not sure what has transpired to arouse such distain. If this is in regards to not mentioning work done on the invoice I'm sorry but we cant do that especially when it is in relation to a home inspection and the sale of the home. Other than that request not being met I have no idea what could possibly have transpired. I wish we had a chance to discuss what ever the issue was that has brought us to this point."

Plumber/technician from Absolute Plumbing did not seem confident in the diagnosis of the problem and since the repair cost was substantial, I had another company do a diagnosis and estimate for a 2nd opinion.  The 2nd company spent considerably more time in diagnosing the issue and determined that it was not the pan/vinyl liner leaking, but it was the shower seat that was cracked and had been improperly constructed in the first place.  Much less costly repair required to completely fix the problem.
I called Absolute Plumbing to discuss their $800 repair estimate (pan only, grout work not included) 6/7/13 and left a message for Mike LeClair (Master Plumber) to call me back.  I was assured he would return my call by end of business, 6/8/13.  I did not receive a call back and gave him a week to get back to me.  I called again and left another message for him 6/13/13 and let them know if I did not receive a call end of business 6/18/13 then I would definitely report this issue to Angieslist and possibly BBB.
I was able to speak with Mike LeClair  6/13/13 and explained that the problem that they diagnosed was inaccurate.  I was NOT requesting a refund of the service charge ($110.00) but wanted an apology from the company and assurances that they would provide additional training to the technician/plumber that made the incorrect diagnosis.  Mr. LeClair proceeded to tell me that he thought I had already decided to report this issue to Angieslist and possibly BBB regardless, so there was no way he could remedy the issue.  I explained that if I had planned to do just that, I wouldn't have bothered to  call him, and once I didn't receive a call back after a week, I even called again to try and resolve this in a civil manner via phone.  It takes quite a bit of time to write an extensive review and honestly I would have been happy to have avoided doing a negative online review if at all possible.  I have never written a negative review on Angieslist before so I take this very seriously and would not do so in haste.
Mr. LeClair refused to apologize nor provide additional training to the technician/plumber.  He believes that their repair was the only thing that would meet code, although the pan is not in need of replacement so this repair would be totally unnecessary and costly in my opinion.
The conversation between Mr. LeClair and myself was not pleasant and I feel that the public has a right to know that if they do experience an issue with Absolute Plumbing, it may be difficult to reach a positive conclusion for both parties.  It might be wise to seek a 2nd opinion for any pricey repairs to make sure you are getting an accurate diagnosis to avoid an unnecessary and possible costly repair.
Response from Absolute Plumbing of Flower Mound

"As I said during our phone conversation. i am sorry that your original message did not reach me. When given the message on 6/13 I called back. There was no reason to threaten the office staff, mistakes happen she misplaced the phone memo. Not to transfer burden nor blame, if it was that detrimental you could have called back the following day and we could have resolved the issue. I never said that I refuse to apologize, actually i did for the phone memo not reaching me as well as the fact that you disagree with our firms opinion. I would also like to say that the vulgarities toward me were not warranted nor needed either. We came out and performed a shower pan test and as a result fond water leaking through the ceiling. If there is water leaking through the ceiling there is an issue with the water proofing membrane or its original installation. You don't have to agree with our resolve of the issue and can choose from several different options in a resolve. Based upon what the code dictates for water proofing of the pan and benches it is my opinion and this companies standpoint to replace the membrane in the event of failure. Yes you can grout sections and they may hold for some time but it does not alleviate the underlying issue. Your ridicule of our opinion is cruel and without merit. You called us out for an opinion and an estimate after performing the shower pan test. We provided that. You don't have to raise your voice, curse at me on the phone and begin yelling. You can simply take an alternate opinion to resolve the issue if you are in disagreement with the resolve that we provide. I don't know how I could ever have satisfied you in this case, I did ask sever times during our conversation and just kept getting the response that you disagree with our opinion. Again it is only 1 of several paths that can be taken but is the only ultimate resolve we will perform. You cant yell at the Ford dealer because he wont sell a Chevy. I tried my best to explain the code as I understand it and our companies policy in shower liner failures but was unsuccessful in overcoming your anger levels from the very start of our phone conversation. I wish you the best in the resolve that you have chosen and hope that it is successful."

I scheduled the appointment online and they immediately followed up with me on the phone to make sure they understood what I needed.  They showed up on time, were friendly and professional and worked quickly and effectively.  They do not do drywall repair, and were upfront about that from the first phone call.  However, the plumbed did take care to remove the drywall cleanly, which made my repair job very quick and easy.  We provided the valve/shower handle/head so we were really only charged for the labor on the project (this was their suggestion when they called me).  They were in and out in a little under three hours, which seemed perfectly fair to me given the challenge of cutting through the wall and attaching a variety of copper lines to the valve, plus installation of the shower components.

If there were an A++ rating, Absolute Plumbing of Flower Mound would deserve it. Bryan, waiting for his partner on a service call in the area, called and stopped by on his own initiative to make sure previously-done work was satisfactory. My usual air conditioning servicer had tried a few days earlier to clear a drain clog but was unable to do so. Bryan traced all four air conditioner lines to their in-house drain points and found an improperly-installed junction (done by the house builder) under one sink. He cleaned a clog and reinstalled a tailpiece that was obstructing drainage. Problem fixed! I cannot say enough about Bryan's friendliness, expertise, and patience in resolving the problem. Additionally, Absolute Plumbing of Flower Mound is a small company, unlike many large, "mass-production" enterprises with a heavy turnover. Absolute obviously takes care of its employees and engenders loyalty to it as well as ensuring customer satisfaction - no matter what it takes. I would love to see Absolute Plumbing of Flower Mound appear in my local Angie's List publication as an outstanding service provider.

During initial phone contact with Mary at Absolute Plumbing, she obtained pertinent information regarding water heater replacement and installation of new kitchen faucet. Bryan arrived on May 23 and, due to misunderstanding during phone call (NOT Absolute Plumbing's fault!), installed new kitchen sink faucet and adjusted shower handle that had initially been improperly installed. Set schedule to replace two 13-year-old water heaters.
The kitchen faucet began leaking at turn-off handle the day after installation. Called Mary at Absolute Plumbing and, due to upcoming Memorial Day holiday, made arrangement for Bryan to come and repair on next day. Subsequent research on Web regarding the model of the kitchen sink faucet disclosed numerous customer complaints regarding leak at the handle.
We are not going to purchase that particular brand/model again and have sent email to maker adding our non-recommendation for that model.
Absolute Plumbing and Bryan have displayed the utmost courtesy, service and willingness in scheduling. The initial kitchen sink installation process typifies what every customer could hope for and receive from this company. I recommend them without reservation.

I contacted Absolute Plumbing about a leak in our master bathroom.  They were already booked solid and we set an appointment for the following week.  This was also the case the previous time we wanted to use them.  Since we were not in a hurry this time, we waited and I am glad we did.  The staff was courteous, knowledgeable and very helpful.  The plumber did show up about 30 minutes late.  I called the office to make sure he was still on his way.  He called shortly thereafter to let me know he was.  He located the leak and had it repaired in a timely fashion.  My husband forgot to mention our Angie's List coupon when paying so I called later in the day and they were able to apply it.  We were very pleased and will use them again for any future plumbing needs.
