They were knowledgeable, quick and tidy. They cleaned up everything after themselves and did not leave a mess in the yard. They are average priced and are a little bit better than the others.

FABULOUS!!! I came home from work to find my front yard looking GREAT! The small to medium sized tree, gone! The Bradford Pear tree, trimmed, which is EXACTLY what I asked for. I plan on using this company again, for all other tree trimmings. Thank you 1-2- Tree LLC, for a job well done!

This was the 2nd time that we used this company. They went out of their way to meet a tight deadline. The quote was fair and they started a couple of days later. They called ahead, showed up on time, and made quick work, cleaning up and mulching the limbs as they went. They took all the tree debris with them. The crew was polite and helpful. I will continue to use them for tree-trimming and tree removal. Highly satisfied!

I called to have them come out, they said they would have to come give estimate first . The left an estimate and drawing at the house (I wasn't there when they came). Then I called their office to schedule the trim and told them there were lots of other stuff I would like trimmed besides what was on the drawing. She said she would have them call me before they came and I would meet them there and tell them what all I wanted done. They came when I wasn't home and trimmed just a few branches over the house, they didn't call to tell so that I could meet them. I was very disappointed to not get the other trimming done and I was quite surprised at how little was trimmed off the trees that they did do. I really wouldn't have noticed they even came and did the work if they hadn't left a sign in my yard. They did leave everything neat and clean which was a plus.

They were the lowest bid on the trees. ($400) Their bid to include the shrubs was an extra $175. I thought this to be a little high at first because I had received 3 other bids for $450 for all the trees and the shrubs. But when I checked to have someone else do the shrubs sepearately, I had one lower at $150 but would have had to wait 2 weeks, and 1 higher at $200. So I would say their bid on the shrubs was average.

At first I hired a different company that beat out all other bidders by coming in person to give me a quote on Mother's day, and quoted $450 for the trees and the shrubs. But that company ran into delays preventing them from coming to do the work when promised (first a rain delay even though there had only been a brief light sprinkle in the area, and then a broken axle on their truck, so I ended up unhiring them.
When I spoke to Patrick at 1, 2 Tree, he had his crew there the next day, when promised and it was like a swat team coming in, going straight to work and were finsihed in a flash.
They came early on a Saturday morning, worked unbelieveably fast and got after it and got an incredivle amount of work done in less than an hour. I was very happy because it was my birthday and I was able to enjoy the rest of my day without worrying about the yard work or or how long it what take. They brought a wood chipper to process the debris and took it with them when they left.
I would defintiely hire them again.

6 workers and one arborist showed on time and worked for approximately 5 hours for the job. Excellent job listening to my desire to keep a natural look and not over trim/lift the trees but to just remove dead wood and trees that were up against the house. Very easy to work with when I needed to reschedule due to my work, allowing me to be at the house during the trimming process. Very pleased with the results and price.

They were very punctual and professional.

They always provided an accurate estimate before hand. They arrived at the appointed time, and did a great job. They cleaned up all the trimmings and left the yard in good condition.

Work was done when promised, by professional crew, on time and totally to my satisfaction. They did hit a water line (not unusual for this type of work), but they fixed it same day - non issue and they were so nice about it. I also have their sub contractor planting some new oak trees later this week. I have used 12 Tree for pruning my trees in years past too. I really like these guys, won't use anyone else and highly recommend them to anyone needing any kind of tree work done. PS - they also came out during recent ice storm and cleaned up my tree damage blocking neighbors driveway. I called and they came out as soon a weather permitted. Again I like these guys more than simple text can relate :)

We would definitely recommend them and will be using them in the future. Very reasonable and reliable.

They were great. Armando was the crew chief and tree climber. He was very professional and managed the day very well. We originally thought the work was to be performed the day before and had made different plans for the day they arrived but made it work. The reason for the B for responsiveness is that we had a hard time making contact to get the estimate and then to confirm date of work. To get an and quot;Aand quot; would require better communication at all phases.
The work crew was very professional and all did their tasks well. Overall very pleased with the job and will have them back out for the next trim.

It took a few days to get them out, my husband told the man who came to give the estimate that we just wanted a few (8-10) branches that were touching our roof trimmed on a red oak, however he was not here for the actual work. So when they were here to do the work my husband pointed out the branches that needed to be trimmed and when they were done, they cut total limbs off, not at all what we wanted and it changed the shape of the tree and took away the shade we had. They did a great job on the tree removal, were on time, cleaned up the mess, but I would suggest if you want a tree "trimmed" you stand right there with them and point out what you want them to do!

I called and got an estimate very, very quickly and told them I would get back to them one way or another because I was getting other estimates.. I try to get 3 estimates to compare. I got another estimate from another company, also promptly. I was waiting for a third, but ended up getting a surprise when I arrived home.
1-2-Tree came out and did the work -- without me giving them the go-ahead (verbally, written, or email) or knowing they were going to schedule this. The tree got really, really trimmed (full plus trim) and the stump and the most of the shoots were removed. There are some other shoots of some sort still growing up that I'll have to take care of and hope they don't come back.
The following day I called them and asked who gave them authorization to do the work? I heard that Angie's List companies are anxious to give good service but this really floored me. When the owner returned my call, he said he assumed he had the job and did the full trim.
I might have picked this company, but I don't like any company who pulls this sort of stunt. Granted he said he'd would knock off $50, but that's completely besides the point. I plan on removing this tree in the fall (it's normal lifespan is about over and it's counterpart (the stump) came down in the winds we had a couple of years ago so a trim on the house would really be the only thing I needed (I could have trimmed the limbs from the sidewalk and saved myself $100).
The job was OK but the manner and assumptions that went with it were not professional.

I initially called 1-2 Tree after receiving an estimate from another contractor that I felt was too high in price.
It is noteworthy that when you call you reach an office, not a cell phone carried by a contractor or rep. I got a polite response and obtained an estimate within 24 hours.
The estimate was more in line with my expectations, so I agreed to have them do the work.
The work was done within the next week....I understand this is the busy season for tree trimming, so I was happy with the timing.
The work crew arrived exactly when they said they would arrive and I am very pleased with the work that was done. The trees look very good and the yard was cleaned up exceptionally well.

They were very responsive when I submitted a request for estimate. Once I decided to go with them, they were able to come out within a couple days and do all of the work. They even said they would come back if I wanted anything trimmed back farther. I did have an item that was broken during the trimming, but they quickly sent me a check for replacement. I would definitely use them again.

Emailed 1-2 Tree about getting an estimate. Gave them a brief description of what I wanted done. They responded same day that I sent email and I emailed back with more detailed description. They came out within 2 days to look over the trees I wanted trimmed and gave me an estimate. I agreed to the price and they said it would be about a week before they could do the job and would call a day before. But they called as promised and came out sooner. I had 3 very large trees that needed trimming. All of them would require someone to climb up in the trees because they were so tall. They came while I was at work and when I got home the trees had been trimmed like we discussed and all the limbs and such were cleaned up and hauled away. They did a great job and I was very pleased. I will use them again.
