It took a few days to get them out, my husband told the man who came to give the estimate that we just wanted a few (8-10) branches that were touching our roof trimmed on a red oak, however he was not here for the actual work. So when they were here to do the work my husband pointed out the branches that needed to be trimmed and when they were done, they cut total limbs off, not at all what we wanted and it changed the shape of the tree and took away the shade we had. They did a great job on the tree removal, were on time, cleaned up the mess, but I would suggest if you want a tree "trimmed" you stand right there with them and point out what you want them to do!

I called and got an estimate very, very quickly and told them I would get back to them one way or another because I was getting other estimates.. I try to get 3 estimates to compare. I got another estimate from another company, also promptly. I was waiting for a third, but ended up getting a surprise when I arrived home. 1-2-Tree came out and did the work -- without me giving them the go-ahead (verbally, written, or email) or knowing they were going to schedule this. The tree got really, really trimmed (full plus trim) and the stump and the most of the shoots were removed. There are some other shoots of some sort still growing up that I'll have to take care of and hope they don't come back. The following day I called them and asked who gave them authorization to do the work? I heard that Angie's List companies are anxious to give good service but this really floored me. When the owner returned my call, he said he assumed he had the job and did the full trim. I might have picked this company, but I don't like any company who pulls this sort of stunt. Granted he said he'd would knock off $50, but that's completely besides the point. I plan on removing this tree in the fall (it's normal lifespan is about over and it's counterpart (the stump) came down in the winds we had a couple of years ago so a trim on the house would really be the only thing I needed (I could have trimmed the limbs from the sidewalk and saved myself $100). The job was OK but the manner and assumptions that went with it were not professional.

I initially called 1-2 Tree after receiving an estimate from another contractor that I felt was too high in price. It is noteworthy that when you call you reach an office, not a cell phone carried by a contractor or rep. I got a polite response and obtained an estimate within 24 hours. The estimate was more in line with my expectations, so I agreed to have them do the work. The work was done within the next week....I understand this is the busy season for tree trimming, so I was happy with the timing. The work crew arrived exactly when they said they would arrive and I am very pleased with the work that was done. The trees look very good and the yard was cleaned up exceptionally well.

They were very responsive when I submitted a request for estimate. Once I decided to go with them, they were able to come out within a couple days and do all of the work. They even said they would come back if I wanted anything trimmed back farther. I did have an item that was broken during the trimming, but they quickly sent me a check for replacement. I would definitely use them again.

Emailed 1-2 Tree about getting an estimate. Gave them a brief description of what I wanted done. They responded same day that I sent email and I emailed back with more detailed description. They came out within 2 days to look over the trees I wanted trimmed and gave me an estimate. I agreed to the price and they said it would be about a week before they could do the job and would call a day before. But they called as promised and came out sooner. I had 3 very large trees that needed trimming. All of them would require someone to climb up in the trees because they were so tall. They came while I was at work and when I got home the trees had been trimmed like we discussed and all the limbs and such were cleaned up and hauled away. They did a great job and I was very pleased. I will use them again.

Patrick and his crew did a great job. The overall price was competitive and in line with other estimates that I received. I chose 1-2-Tree because they are local to Flower Mound, and I like to use local as much as possible. I was happy with my choice and would use them again.

Patrick and his crew were quick and thorough. Excellent clean-up. Every thing done on time and as promised. The best price by far of 5 estimates. Highly recommended!!

I was impressed with their customer service. My only complaint was that they said they would have someone out on Monday--he didn't make it out until Tuesday. They said the service would be performed on Wednesday but it wasn't until Thursday--but it was first thing. Definitely plenty of time to be inspected by the City, though so no harm done. I certainly don't mind their missing days but I had to call them on both occasions to follow-up...since I didn't want to be fined. :-)

Pat and his crew did an excellent job on large tree limb removal overhanging my yard; trimming a smaller tree to improve its look and health; trimming a number of shrubs. He was prompt in responding to my email and scheduled the work promptly after agreement on work and price. The crew arrived on time and worked both safely and quickly. Complete cleanup after work. I would use them again and recommend them highly.

Called 1-2 Tree to come give us an estimate for trimming the trees in my yard. The scheduler on the phone was very friendly and helpful in scheduling a time for Patrick to come out and give us an estimate. Patrick provided us with a detailed estimate for trimming all the trees in our yard and also explained how exactly how he was going to trim and prune each tree. We accepted the estimate and were given a time of 10 to 14 days till they would be out to perform the work. 13 days later they came and trimmed all the trees exactly like was explained during the estimate. I was impressed on how quickly they worked and how well the cleaned up after they were done trimming. Patrick then walked us around the yard to show all the work that had been done. All the tree in my yard now look great and I am extremely happy with their work. I will definitely be using them again and would recommended 1-2 Tree to anyone looking for a quality tree trimming service.

Pat, the owner, oozes integrity. He will not recommend cutting anything that doesn't need to be cut. He is very responsive and his pricing is fair.

Company sent someone to perform estimate the day after I called. Estimator was helpful, walking around property, discussing options and recommendations for current and future control of tree growth. Provided an estimate on the spot as well as an expected date for the work. On morning of work, team arrived on time, ready to work. Team worked quickly and efficiently. Several times there were options as to how they could trim and asked for my acceptance or choice of options after explaining their thoughts and the consequences or each choice. The entire job was completed in less than 2 hours. At the end, they walked around the property with me for my approval and explaining all that was done. We saw a tree that needed some additional pruning and they were able to complete that right away. Good experience, clean worksite, efficient work and as little intrusion on our activities and property as possible. Very happy with overall result.

On Thursday I emailed a request for an estimate based upon three separate jobs, priced both separately and as a unit. On Friday I had the estimate and on Monday the entire job was done while I was at work. I am completely satisfied with the job they did.

My son scheduled an appointment for an estimate and Patrick came out on time and was extremely professional. He completed an estimate and we called the office a few days later to schedule. The scheduler was very helpful and set an appointment for a day and time to suit my son's convenience. They arrived promptly and worked quickly to complete the job as scheduled. Employees very efficient and did a great job cleaning up.

The first time they were out they trimmed the trees to our satisfaction, taking out more limbs so the grass would get some sunlight. They did a very good job. The second time they did a good job on removing the stump and taking out a small tree. The last time, after the snowstorm, they came out on Saturday and removed all the broken limbs, cut the larger ones into firewood as we had asked them to do. Each time they cleaned the yard very well. We have been pleased with their work.

It was an enormous tree and he pruned it way back and it was really good. He did the next day after I called him and did it while I was at work. So, it was really a good deal because I needed it badly. He charged me 275 dollars for that and I thought that was reasonable. The quality of work was great. It was all done and there was nothing left; no debris whatsoever. He didn't even require that I come around and pay him. He just said if you want to leave the check underneath something because my wife comes by about once a week all around to pick these things up. I said I will put it in a mail. They are the ones I would use in future for tree service.

He is insured and professional. He was prompt and efficient.

They did a beautiful and wonderful job. I was pleased with this company and they knew what they are doing. The group of four and one director worked in sync and also worked as a team.

Pat was very courteous when I met him to go over the work needed. He was able to understand all of the tree pruning I needed and the removal of a large old oak that had died. His crew arrived on time and worked hard with little break time. All limbs and debris were cleaned up after the trees were removed and the job was completed to my satisfaction. We made an appointment to meet and discuss the work with Patrick Koch. He was prompt and very courteous and helpful in discussing what needed to be done. He quoted us a price on the spot which we thought was very fair. The work was done within a couple weeks of that meeting. Although we were not at home when the crew came to cut, they erred on the conservative side and came back later when we were home to touch up whatever else we wanted trimmed. I felt they did an excellent job, cleaned up very nicely and were just very easy to deal with. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing tree trimming!

I was very impressed with 1-2-Tree. The man is a degreed arborist. The overall work was good and they cleaned up after themselves well. They are a very customer service oriented company!
