Beware!! As you can see high voltage electric cables were installed through a rough, sharp sheet metal housing without the proper circle grommet. This is a clear and present danger to myself and future service workers. It only takes a small amount of pressure to cut through the wire sheath and cause a catastrophic situation. This is a safety violation and I urge you to have your HVAC inspected if Evans did the installation Also, I was charged for work not performed.

Evans AC proved to be "two-faced" after withdrawing their promise to cover a part under warranty. Like most HVAC companies it's all about squeezing customers for every dime they can get away with.

Called this morning and they had someone out by 11:00AM.  Corey Shaw came out and was very nice.  He replaced the Dual Capacitor with a new one and our air conditioning was back on within 5 minutes.  He also looked over the unit, went in the attic to check the whole unit.  Was very nice and professional.  
We went ahead and paid for the Maintenance Service plan which brought the Diagnostic price of $89 down to $69.  Brought the price of the Dual Capacitor from $155 down to $131.  The cost of the plan is $149 which includes 3 visits of planned Maintenance: Cooling Inspection, Annual Major Maintenance and 1 service call a year!

It was really good. I paid $150 for them to take care of this situation. It cost $40 to add up on the freon. They got one more check they can come out that I can call them any time I want. They they got to come out on the Fall and get me ready for the heating clean for $150. They were pretty thorough. I give them a B on pricing not because anybody's charging me less but I would like to save some money. It was fair, really. It was good quality. I asked them any kind of questions and he answered everything. He seemed very thorough and knowledgeable. I'm very particular on timing on when I need to get things done because I got a very busy schedule. He was very accessible to me. They worked around my schedule and he was right here exactly when he said he was going to be. That was really good.

They are the most professional HVAC shop in town. I dealt with a lot of them and I've never had people that were so competent.  They do a good job and not wasting my money.  We had another air conditioner company come out that quoted us higher prices, but this company came out and did it for half the price, did a great job and did not track our floors.

They said that I needed a new system and the new system that they put in leaked or a line backed up but they came out and fixed it for free so I am pretty happy with them. Basically, they had not cleared the line and the water ran off the line incorrectly so they came out and cleared that and then they did some other minor repairs but they did not charge me anything else. I have a maintenance contract with them that is about $140 a year and they come out twice a year to do a regular maintenance. They have kept my old system running for 17 years. Their inappropriate or lack of clearing the line caused a problem but at least they came out and fixed it with no additional charge. Air conditioning is really expensive and I guess that the older air conditioning systems were better. The first one that I had in the house lasted 27 years and the next one only 17. The quality has gone down in the recent years. Their responsiveness was good and their punctuality was okay. I would probably use them again in the future. They have maintained my older air conditioning system for 20 years or more.

I apologize for the issue you had with the water. the new A/C systems are do much more efficient that the older ones, & they remove more water from the air. Nowadays, due to codes concerning condensate drains, we do not always even know exactly where the drains terminate, so it makes it very hard to completely clear them sometimes. They used to all drain to the outside, instead of into the plumbing system, and it was easy to know when it was clear. I am happy we were able to take care of the problem. He was an excellent technician, he was very thorough.  The price was reasonable.  He couldn't fix it but he was able to diagnose that I needed to call in an electrician because there was something about a wire back feeding.  He did a good job for me and he put me on the right track and inspected everything and told me that the unit was good, it just needed to get power to it.  Very simple.  It was really good.

My wife was off work the day we chose to install unit. They arrived on time,  worked most of the morning, interfacing with our plumber who  was needed to move the gas line, and hook it to new unit. Was done in early afternoon.
