They were great-they called to let me know when they were arriving so I could let them into the storage unit, they were courteous and professional while they emptied the unit. They treated my cheap Ikea furniture like it was expensive stuff! :) They got to the apartment building and didn't even blink when they realized I was moving into a 3rd floor unit with no elevator. They got my stuff moved without a problem. I gave them a nice tip-mostly for making multiple trips up 3 flights of stairs! Great service, the office person I dealt with to schedule was courteous and called to check on their performance after the job was done.
I even recommended them to family when my mom needed movers for work.

Well, I have never hired movers before, this was my first time. I shopped around for several local movers. A lot of them tried to sell me with their responsiveness, professionalism, quality, but when I came to pricing, there was always some kind of hidden fee. Not only that, they ask for your number and call you every day like a telemarketer until you change your number BUT not John Ferguson Moving & Storage. Their pricing was better than most, they had no harassing calls, gasoline fees, trip fees or any other hidden fee. I decided to hire them. They sent a two man crew (Danny & Javier). They were professional, fast. They were constantly on the move and careful with my belongings. They finished in about an hour and a half when I was expecting for the job to take 2-3 hrs. Needless to say, I was extremely impressed with this company and I highly recommend them. I will definitely call John Ferguson Moving & Storage for my future moving needs.12

Mauro, David & Michael packed a 26 foot truck with all my possessions. They drove to Amarillo that evening and were unloading for me (Mauro & Daniel) by 9am 1-23-14. They put together the furniture when they finished unloading. All were very helpful & professional. If I need them again, I may have them come from El Paso to help me.

The 3 person crew arrived on time and proceeded to diagree with each other from the beginning.  It took them a very long time to pack the truck because of the disagreements.  They took the screws out of the waterbed frame, put them back in and then took them out again.  We had been told that the refrigerator would be the last item on the truck and the first item off.  It was put on the truck at least an hour before the truck left the first house!  When they opened the side door of the truck at the new house, items fell out on the ground!  It got worse from there.  They broke the leveling feet off a bookcase,  broke the hinge on a cedar chest/coffee table, broke a drawer front off an oak dressent, removed two leveling screws from a bar cabinet because they had los the third leveling screw, and lied about it.  They damaged bookcase shelves, damaged the upholstered arm of my bentwood rocker recliner and scratched a great number of pieces of furniture.  they argued with each other the whole time and would not listen to me that bedroom furniture could not be placed until the beds were assembled.  More than two hours later, the beds were still not assembled.  They did not have tools. We had to loan them ours!  The crew told me that the driver is supposed to provide tools.  He was too busiy racing around, almost like he might had taken a stimulant.  I found empty cans of Monster energy drink, empty, that he left lying around the first house.  When I saw what they had done to my very expensive waveless waterbed mattress, I called John Ferguson.  I told him that I needed him to come to my house to see what his people had done to my waterbed and other possessions.  He said that he was busy at the moment but would contact us later.  That call caused the driver to run scraming around my house yelling that he was taking pictures, while the other two tried to finish the job.  Then the driver demanded that I sign because they were "done".  But they were not.  They still had to take a washer to the original house.  He said "no one told me" but the other two knew.  The driver refused to get in the truck and deliver the washer until I told him that I would call the police if he did not get out of my home.  My husband accompanid them to the original house and supervised the washer delievery.  He also refused to sign or pay.
We have called John Ferguson at least four times since tht day and he has not responded at all.  No call, no visit, nothing.  He told me that this is his "best crew".  If that is the case, Do NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
I am keeping receipts and itemizing my time and mileage.  My exppenses will be much greater than the price that Mr. Ferguson quoted me.  My furnishings will never be the same and I cannot afford to replace everythin that they damaged so I will live with the constatnt reminder of this terrible move.  At least I can warn the rest of you!

EXCELLENT - They packed everything, loaded and unloaded and unpacked.  They were amazing and very nice.  The price was thousands less than others.  Everything made it safely and they even added an extra stop so we could drop things off at a different address.  HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Overall the experience was very good, the only thing that was not outstanding was that they were 50 minutes late for the apointment. They did call and tell me that the driver that had been schedulded for my move did noe show up for work so the owner, John Ferguson came out and did the move, They were very curtious and professional.

This service was top rate from reservation to signing the paperwork at the end.  Even though our move was unexpected and short notice they accommodated our schedule with no fuss.   The three in our moving team were friendly, on time and effective at this job.  It was miserable hot weather that day and they were cheerful and hard working.  They treated our household goods with great care.  We also did a pick up at a storage unit and it all flowed like clockwork.  We are going to use them again as this was an interim move and we look forward to working with them.  Everything went in one load due to expert loading and the unloading was amazingly orderly and mistake-free.  We have moved all over the country and while in the service and it does not get any better than this outfit.  Thanks guys!!!

I just wanted to write and thank John and his team, they did a great job with my move.They were very polite and professional. Great customer service. There was no damage what so ever because they took care and pride in moving my things like they were their own. Thanks guys!

The company helped me finish packing things up since I was on a time limit. They came and loaded it up. They put it in the storage unit. While they are loading and unloading, I was packing, so I couldn't see if they stacked it properly. I went out with the foreman and gave them ideas on how they would do this. I turned it over to him. I thought he could do this. This was not the case. When I took things out of storage, I had things torn up. I believe this was because they improperly stacked the things. I called the company and they have refused to take any kind of liability for this. They are saying that it is not their problem because they didn't take it out of storage. I think they are a shady company. They didn't stay behind their word that they will do a good job for you. I had items that were stolen and haven't been found. I still haven't found them. I had some Samsonite luggage still with the tags on them that was damaged on the metal frame. I had a piece of furniture that was in different pieces as well. The last time I saw it, it was perfect. I have decorative corner pieces on my wood dining table. All four of these corner pieces are missing. I can't even get a repairman out to fix my table, since the pieces are missing. I'm not sure exactly where these pieces ended up. My other dining room table is all scratched up. I definitely would not use this company.

There were three men that helped move our belongings and all of them were very professional and polite. My husband and I would definitely use them again. They don't waste time at all. They handle everything with care and get the job done promptly and smoothly. One of the men even hooked up our washer and dryer for us. They're willing to put everything in order for you, if necessary. You don't even have to ask... They ask you if you want them to put the beds together, hook up the washer/dryer, etc.
Everything was done in two & 1/2 hrs. The only thing is that they charged $95/hr for three men, with a four hour minimum charge.

The easiest move I've ever done.  I hate, and I mean HATE moving, and these guys were easy, prompt and professional.

They showed up on time and automatically got to work. I paid for a two man crew, but John even showed up and helped out at no charge. Smooth move I will definitely use them again. First time I used angies list since signing up to the service and I am very pleased with their suggestion. They are the top rated moving company for a reason. Thank you guys for making my move a good experience.

It was an excellent/smooth process.  They showed up with boxes/packing material and as one guy was moving the furniture and already boxed stuff, the other was packing.  They took great care with packing my kitchen (which for a single person, I have kitchen stuff for a family of 6).  I also had 2 full closets of clothes that they were gentle with and boxed nicely. 
It was a very positive experience.  Moving is stressful, moreso when you have mold poisoning and John's team went out of their way to make sure I didn't have to do anything on the packing/moving end. 
They were very efficient with un-loading and getting my stuff up to my new place. 
When my lease is up in 10 months, I will for sure be calling on John again.

I moved from an apartment into a house, and John's Upper Valley Moving did an excellent job.  Their two person crew arrived right on time, efficiently took all of my packed boxes and furniture to their truck, and unloaded without any issues. I would HIGHLY recommend John's Upper Valley Moving to anyone I know!

 Overall, my daughter was delighted and impressed by their punctuality, moving skills and friendliness.  I, too, was extremely happy with their work.

He is very accommodating, very honest, and very careful with my belongings. He is on time, and very professional. His prices are very good. He is very trustworthy. He knows what he is doing. He has the right equipment, and I can tell that his people are trained and that they have experience. I plan to use him again.

I moved all my household goods (3 bedrooms) from one house to another about 5 miles away.  John came to survey and gave an estimate first and his crew came on the day before the move to pack everything up and moved the next day.  They were always punctual and everything was done professionally. The actual cost came in below the "not to exceed" estimate.I'm very pleased with the service and John was very responsive and courteous at all times.  He even came a week later to pick up all the boxes.

They were very reasonable with their price.  It was a local move.    The price was exactly what he told me it would be.  They showed up when they said they would.  They were very professional.
