Description of Work: The online coupon was for an air conditioner shut down and furnace start up for the winter. The furnace start up was fine but the air conditioner shut down part was a disaster. All they did was to unplug everything on the AC...but the water was not drained and the AC was not properly prepared for the winter. I would NOT recommend Dosher to anyone. |

Description of Work: Swamp cooler and furnace start-up with carbon monoxide and gas leak check. Serviceman was punctual, courteous and efficient. I'd use them again.

Description of Work: The workmen replaced the defective motor in my heater/air conditioner system. They were on time, completely professional, and even corrected some problems which had been caused by earlier careless servicing of the heating unit. I recommend them without reservation.

Description of Work: Dosher Refrigeration serviced one AC unit, checked the coolant, made sure everything was working correctly. We were having problems with our second unit. It wasn't cooling although the fan was coming on. The technicians identified the problem quickly as a bad condenser, I think. They put in a replacement part and within less than an hour, our house was cool again! They suggested we do preventive maintenance on our heaters in September. And sold us some premium AC filters at contractor's price. Very pleased with the service, with the technicians and with Carmen in the office.

Description of Work: Called on a Thursday afternoon and they were able to send a crew out the next morning at 8:30 AM to check for a leak in a residential refrigerated cooling unit. Very professional and fast. Filled up coolant but did not detect leak. I will gladly continue to do business with this company.

Description of Work: My first experience with Angie's list did not go at all well. I purchased a 20-point inspection (AC) from Dosher, only to receive an email that they were no longer offering that service and that I should call to tell them what I wanted them to do (since they had already been paid the $99). I had to leave town unexpectedly on business and was not not able to return the call for a week. When I did speak with Carmen, she informed me that she never told me that the service had been discontinued (I have the email from her that says it was) and that the service they offered through Angie's List was still good (only now it had gone from 20 point to 25 point inspection). I was not at all displeased with that. What did displease me was that the young man who showed up told us that the coils were dirty (they most definitely were) and that it would cost $700 to clean them. My daughter called several AC folks and the highest price that was quoted was $200 for the same service. The young man also told us that the registers needed to be replaced and that he would have the office give us a quote on replacing them. I shudder to think how much that will cost. On a side note, my daughter, who is a very petite, pretty blonde (in her mid-30's) was the one who was at home at the time of the visit and she was convinced that the service man thought he could put one over on her. She is a veteran (11 year) fire-fighter and in about an hour cleaned the coils herself. The unit works like new!

A leak was found in my refrigerated air conditioner. The technician added leak stop to the system and re-charged the system with A/C refrigerant. |

Description of Work: Serviced my York gas heater. Cleaned system, checked operation of burners, blowers, and checked for carbon monoxide leaks. Everything checked out OK. | |The technician was professional and courteous. A good one to send to places that have pets. I have 4 large dogs and he was not bothered a bit by them. Did a good job.

Description of Work: Dosher removed an old heater and replaced it with a new 100,000 BTU Luxaire heater with a filter rack and digital thermometer. They also installed a new flue pipe. Personnel were professional and courteous.

Description of Work: Dosher removed our old evaporative A/C unit and replaced it with a Luxaire refrigerated unit. They installed digital thermostats and replaced the registers, tested the system and cleaned up thoroughly. They were early in the morning, efficient, courteous and always working (no standing around, slacking, breaks, etc).

Description of Work: The old Master Cool Air Conditioner was removed and new one installed.
