"When I first drove up to the customers home seven years ago from the street it was one of the worst foundations we have ever seen. The foundation was out almost ten inches and looked like the home was falling off the hill. Now when you drive up and walk up to the home the foundation looked good even after seven years. I have been back to this home several times over the years and every time we ask if they ever repaired the failed sewer line leak from July 8, 2014. Now after seven years with no report from customer of ever doing plumbing repairs the garage brick at the corner that was down ten inches before has separated at the top on one side only 1/2 of an inch. Last week at no charge to the customer we adjusted two piers on the corner of the garage and again ordered another plumbing test but do not at this time have the results. We have attached the failed sewer line test from seven years ago. Thank You! Dave H***"
"We did more adjustments after several plumbing leaks. The third time we did ajustments the charge was $1200 including adjusting wingwall again. We always had trouble coiiecting for repairs and customer never paid for the last repairs. We are not going to do more new work caused from another plumbing leak when customer still owes for last repair. The customer is so hard to work with that the franchises he owned forced him to sell them all back. Dave Hall"
"I gave a free bid only! When I arrived, you were in from out of town to visit your rental home. The only thing in the home was a blow-up mattress. I told you if signed up this week I could do the work before you left next Wednesday. You forgot to mention the other bid from Structured Foundation bid for $8,500.00 putting piers on the highest part of your home up front and the [Member Information Removed] down one side of the garage, but not both sides of the garage in the back. That means you had two companies' bids that I know of doing piers around your garage. The door going in the garage is off in both directions and is buckling. The door going into the laundry room was also off next to the garage. This is what causing the cracks in the walls. The other doors sticking is because the center of the home needs to be re-shimmed in the middle. You told me you were going to remodel the bathrooms and kitchen. I told you since it was a rental you could do nothing, and it would still rent but if you were going to spend the money to remodel, I would do the foundation repair first. The video I showed you is not the work I did working for other companies; I owned the company that did the steel erection coast to coast for 28 years. The five percent discount was because the price I give you was paying with a credit card. I did not say if you pay by cash, I said check. I did not high pressure you, I told if you signed up by Friday to accommodate your schedule leaving next Wednesday. We could complete the project starting on Monday and that was the only reason for you to decide that week, not mine. You called me complaining about doors sticking and cracks. If you call enough companies, you will get bids from zero to the moon. I guess you chose to use the companies that are going to use magic. Dave Hall"
"Re-doing Foundation Repair We re-do foundation repair done by my competitors almost every week. We have redone foundation repair for this company before, they have been in business for over 20yrs. I called in an engineer on this project because it looked like the customer was going after the foundation company. The engineer agreed with what I had already recommended. I have worked with him for 18 years and we have done thousands of foundation repair jobs together. I did commercial steel erection from coast to coast of the United States for 28 years before I started foundation repair. The company that installed the piers was given every opportunity to reinstall the failing piers under their Life Time Warranty. The piers they installed 3 years ago and months before were only installed about 4 feet deep. All the new piers and old piers that had to be reinstalled went about 15 feet deep. I ask every customer to please go to our website and see our video showing my background in construction for 48 years. www.ProtectYourDream.com My competitors will not tell you what they were doing before they stated repairing foundation for home owners. If you want to have your foundation repairs done right the first time call us. I was at a customer home two weeks ago, they had an engineer report that they paid $600.00 for. It was almost worthless and was incorrect. We did not use the engineers repair plan. I am sorry this customer had to re-do previous foundation repair. Every time I am at a customer's house and they tell me they have never had foundation repair before it is music to my ears. No one has a budget set aside for the repairs the first time or the second or the third. I had a customer last year repair 8 times and it was worse that before the first time and I had to tell the customer I could not do a very good job because after about the third time you run out of room under the foundation to install new piers. Thank You Dave"
"I was asked to give a bid based on Devtek Engineering recommendations you had hired before we ever met. It does not matter where you set your zero because the zip level gives everyone plus and minus readings. I did give bids for recommend piers and with optional piers by Devtek the top engineer in Dallas Ft. Worth. The bid for the recommended piers was $24,454.00, with all the optional piers $29,214.00 not $45,000.00. I do not know where the $45,000.00 came from. The engineer and foundation companies are supposed to give you a repair plan that would make the home sellable. This home has problems all over with doors off level, walls leaning, counters out of level, cabinets out of level, vanities out of level, trim gapped, brick cracks, cracks in mortar, soil sloped incorrectly, floors out of level, poor drainage, plaster cracks. I was not asked to give a bid for a band aid repair so I did not. The highest bid I gave was $29,214.00 this is less than 5% of the value of the home. If you sell the home and it is not level the new home owner can sue you for the cost of repairs to get the home level. In worse case can make to take the home back. I would be glad to come back and show you that the home is not level and is still at risk as I have stated above. You found companies that would put less piers on your home so they could be the low bidder only increases the repair cost in the future to level the foundation so it would be sellable. All the work that was done now will probably have to be redone. I redo other companies work all the time I just did two jobs that where over $14,000.00 each and the foundation company is still in business giving worthless Life Time Warranties. Just go watch my video."
"We are not open 24 hours a day. If you call back after hours you get our answering service. They can not make appointments. If you need to reschedule all you have to do is call back during regular business hours. The answering service is not perfect but I prefer it over an answering machine. We try to call customers in advance if we are not going to be on time because we know your time is also as valuable as the $500.00 free estimate we are giving you. The reason we asked for a second phone number is (which you did not give) in case we are going to be late or we need to adjust the time."
