+ -1 moreA's on everything. He's a great guy. They guy was very diligent in finding my problem and realizing that just putting a band aid on it wasn't going to fix it. This guy was pretty honest. I like him. Answered my questions if I sit outside and was asking kind of what stage they're at.
Description of Work: I've used Brico Services. They came and figured out the problem I was having, and realized it was my unit, so I had to replace the whole unit. It was AC and heat.

+ -1 moreSupplied information on different dehumidifier options. Provided a quote for the installation. Scheduled installation and gave an estimate for the amount of time it would take. Came and installed the dehumidifier and integrated into existing air conditioning system. Took less time than estimated. Tested dehumidifier and checked with me later to make sure dehumidifier was operational. Very pleasant to work with and was more than happy to discuss the installation plans and operation of the unit.
Description of Work: Installed a whole-home dehumidifier.

+ -1 moreIt was very exceptional because they came in after another provider that actually put detailed analysis on the cost. It was $10 as compared to $3000. They were a provider that was sent forth by American Home Shield, our home warranty company. They sent him out before actually paying for a new air conditioning unit. He did a more thorough diagnostic and found out it was just some sort of solenoid, a $10 part. The air conditioning has been running ever since. I would recommend them because of their professionalism, punctuality, honesty and integrity. It was just very refreshing. The guy show’s up with a uniform which is always refreshing these days.

+ -1 moreDoug was a true professional. He was courteous from start to finish and explained each step along the way. His crew was there on time exactly as promised. The tech was helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. The job was completed more quickly than we anticipated. I am very well satisfied with Brico Services and will use them again for any other air conditioning or heating repair or installation needs I may have in the future.
Description of Work: Replaced air conditioning outside condensor and all the copper wiring plus new evaperator coil, float switch, and electrical whip.

+ -1 moreIt was one of those things where you need to get it done before it gets winter or whatever, but he was over today, I called him this morning, he was able to come by and I thought their price was very reasonable. They are kind of followed your line of questioning. They didn't try to oversell. I ask him to look at the air conditioner, I felt like the cooler probably need to be cleaned and probably I wanted him to look pans at upstairs. They were here on time. They were just very nice people to work with, did not feel that they over charged in any way. I would use them again.
Description of Work: I did have some air conditioning work done by Brico Services yesterday. They had to add some freons, the clean the evaporator coil.

+ -1 moreI don't care what the circumstances are....a business should not hang up on a customer. I did not raise my voice, I did not use vulgar language, I merely asked for a copy of the receipt submitted to AHS. Hanging up is not the solution. I would not recommend these folks to anyone. I'd make sure friends didn't use them.
Description of Work: Provider was sent by American home Shield. (warrenty company). After troubleshooting and replacing the capacitor, tech advised me that the compressor was bad. Informed me that AHS would cover it and that ASH would order the compressor and let them know when it was in to schedule replacement. On Saturday morning AHS called informing me that Brico stated that my coils were 80% clogged and therefore maintenance was an issue and that AHS would not cover my compressor. I called Brico, they hung up on me (a woman answered the phone). Called back and left a messeage to call me. No call. I called this morning, Tuesday and spoke to the owner Doug Wagner. He too hung up on me when i asked for a copy of the ticket (and photos supposedly submitted to AHS.....no photos taken when tech was there). I don't care what the situation is, hanging up on the customer is bad business.

+ -1 moreCalled warranty company because furnace was out. They set up service through Brico Services, was able to contact him right away for appointment. He was able to come out later that day, but I had trouble with scheduling, so he was able to come out next morning at 9am. He said he might be a 10-15 minutes late depending on traffic. So availability is good. Owner, Doug Wagner, didnt make it on time, arrived at 10 am (about an hour late) and didnt call to notify. Spent about hour an half diagnosing and fixing furnace. He was willing to answer questions and provided some maintenance recommendations. Quality of work was good. Overall good experience, wish he was more timely or called to notify. Otherwise would use again.
Description of Work: Furnace went out on a cold night in Houston. Brico was contacted through warranty company. He found some loose wiring on the furnace, reconnected and it was firing again. Paid 100.00 deductible for the warranty, company covered the rest (if there was any).
