from January to June of 2008 the phones were spotty and didn't work all of the time. The people at the verizon store worked with us and were trying to help us get the problem solved. We then went on a Trip to the Caribbean and when the boat docked in New Orleans our phones weren't working. When we returned back to our home we discovered that no verizon phones worked in our home. We even went out and bought brand new phones and they still didn't work. Our phones work about 3 blocks away from our house, but not in our house. I went back to the store and the people working there were excellent and easy to work with, but they were still unable to resolve the issue. In April, my husband had a near death experience and I tried to call 911 and my phone wouldn't work so I had to drive away from my house in order to get the phone to work. I went back to the store and told them about the problem and she offered to waive the cancellation fee if I just paid a $117 fee. I paid it and thought everything was okay. I later received a letter from Verizon asking me to pay the $117 fee again. I went back to the store and spoke with the manager about it and she agreed that I had already paid the fee and she let me leave. I have since switched to AT&T because I needed a phone that would work in my home. To this day I continue to be harassed by Verizon about the $458.74 termination fee that I was told I wouldn't have to pay. They do not and will not provide service in my home and I will not pay the termination fee. Just to be clear, the people I dealtwith at the Flowood store, except for one, were helpful, but the company as a whole was unsatisfactory.
