From the measuring to installation the service was excellent.

Everyone that we came in contact with Sewell Shutters were very professional.  From the young man that came to measure and give us our estimate, to the one that came and measured for the 2nd time and the ones that installed our shutters on the date they promised they would be installed.  I even went to the plant to see the shutters for themselves and met the ones in the office, all were very friendly and professional.  Our shutters are beautiful and we LOVE them.

We called Sewell Shutters, an appointment was set.  Chris was punctual.  Very pleased with the beautiful plantation shutters.  Highly recommend.

Sewell Shutters did a fantastic job from start to finish! Their product is great quality and durable. They have a lifetime warranty with the shutters. And everyone I dealt with was wonderful!
I inquired about a quote in January 2015 when my husband and I first started building our house. When we finally had an approximate close date, Kris Toney met us at the house to go over the product and gather measurements for an exact quote. He honored the quote he gave us in January. There was no increase in the price.
Kris was great to deal with and did not try to oversell. For example, all our windows are raise and tilt. With the flush mount shutters (I called them standard), Kris brought it to our attention that we would not be able to use this feature of the window. We could opt for the outside mount shutters which would allow us to use the tilt feature, but outside mount are more expensive. I talked to some friends who used different companies to see what they said. Those friends said the companies they dealt with told them they did not have any choice but to get outside mount shutters. In reality, you do have a choice! Granted, you cannot use the raise and tilt feature, but you do not have to spend more money for outside mount. We found a different way to clean our windows rather than using the raise and tilt feature.
Jeff and Nathan, the installers, did a fantastic job as well. They called prior to arriving to let me know they were on their way. I was quoted 4 to 4.5 hours for installation time. They were in and out in a little over 3 hours. Very friendly, quick and efficient guys.
Another reason why I love Sewell Shutters is because they are a family owned business! This aspect means a lot to me when choosing a company.

Everything went like clockwork.  I was told they would be here on August 24th when I ordered the shutters 6 weeks ago and they did exactly that. I received a phone call to let me know they would arrive within an hour and they showed up right on time and ready to begin installation.  They were very professional and kind.  They were here for a couple of hours maybe and left no mess behind.  My husband and I could not be more pleased.

Wonderful from start to finish.  A really nice company with really nice employees that provides a quality product.

Incredibly superior customer service, with every detail just as promised, I love the fact that the shutters are manufactured (hand constructed) locally.  Beautiful work.

Workmanship was excellent and installers were friendly, efficient and professional. Two of the shutters were slightly bowed and they were repaired promptly and reinstalled without any hassle.
Their cost was higher but the quality was much higher than that of another company which bid the work

I highly recommend Sewell shutters! I knew I was in good hands from the first moment I met Steve. He certainly knows exactly what he is doing! He helped me make difficult design decisions with regard to the shutter details and they look fabulous. They set the installation date the same time I placed the order and they stuck to it. They were here on time and did a beautiful installation in a timely manner. I would definitely hire them again!

Overall it was a good experience.  All the people I dealt with were terrific. They did what they said they were going to do and at the time they promised.  Excellent to work with.  Would highly recommend.
One suggestion though - Steve could benefit from some training on how to work with everyone and exhibit slightly less arrogance.

Our experience with Sewell Shutters was extremely easy and enjoyable.  After having our home measured for shutters, they were completed in the exact amount of time promised.  Their installers were very nice, personable and explained every step in the installation.  Both after our order was completed and after the shutters were installed Doug Sewell, owner, gave us a call to make sure everything was to our satisfaction.  We will be using Sewell Shutters again next year to complete the windows in the remaining rooms of our home.

OUTSTANDING !!!!!  I can keep this short by saying you cannot go wrong with this company.  I had them two years ago and was VERY impressed and just had them come a second time to do more rooms and again it was a perfect experience from A to Z.  They are expensive but it was definitely worth it!  Everyone I have interacted with has been very classy and professional.  Steve is great at installation and is very meticulous!!

Our experience with Sewell Shutters was over the top.  The entire staff, from the owner to the installation crew, was very professional.  Truly a pleasure to work with.
Their pricing is very competitive.  The entire process, from our initial visit, which included a tour of the production facility, the price negotiations to the installation, was great.  In our opinion, the quality of their product is equal to or better than anything on the market.
Would definitely recommend this company to anyone in the market for plantation shutters that are made right here in America.  

Everything went as planned. We bought a new home and it needed window coverings for all rooms. When we moved in we ordered plantation shutters for 12 windows. They showed up when scheduled and did what they said they would do. Very high quality of service and product. We were so pleased with the product and service that we ordered shutters for 11 more windows. If you want custom made plantation shutters, you won't find a better place to buy.

The shutters are beautiful. They matched my trim color to the shutters. Quickly installed. Then I had to have some slats replaced from my dog chewing them, they were able to replace the slats so I didn't have to replace the whole shutter.
