They are awesome. They were fantastic, and I would recommend them to anybody. We had a leak that happened a year after they had done everything, and they just came this past week and fixed everything at no cost to us. They left the area fabulous. They removed the old units, and the old AC, and the old HVAC, they took it out of the attic, and they cleaned up everything in the yard. Everything was spotless. They were on time, they were professional, they were courteous, they were just professionals. That is the only company we use, they do all our annual check ups.

We used Tim at Sala Air Conditioning; both of our A/C units had stopped working over the weekend. He came in early Tuesday morning (a couple of days before any other provider could get out there--in fact, another small HVAC company recommended Sala to us, too) and got right to work identifying the problems (capacitor in the one fan's motor and a capacitor in the other system's condenser were both blown out). Tim was super nice and polite and came in before each fix/part to tell us the cost of the part and ask us if it was OK for him to install. He was definitely honest, too--he told us that the Freon was a little low on one of the units, at a level where we could probably leave it or he could top it off. We told him to top it off and the amount was less than he estimated. A less honest tech could easily have used that as a way to pad the bill and there's no way we would have known. He was super fast at resolving several different problems and definitely didn't overcharge us. And our house is cool again! We will use Sala again.

Very well. Sala Air was very punctual with their communications and calls that I sent to them. Even with the revisit due to the minisplit's condense pump being inoperable, Tim and Jesus have taken care of my system, and solved my problems with the minisplit - a year after the install, only charging for the labor of the cleaning of the minisplit and checked the coolant problem of the minisplit and added the R-410a. The added kitchen exhaust helped with the dust hood that was not there before in exhausting the fumes of cooking. There wasn't any charge of the newer powerful condense pump that replaced the stock minisplit pump. Jon even took care of fitting me in with their workload to have the things done in a very very timely manner, prompt as soon as I gave the call. All the dispatched service were professional with their work and didn't interrupt my shop space while working in the install of the minisplit. As far as the original service of the tune-up, They checked the differential of the temperatures and charged the system I have for the house accordingly. I would highly recommend these guys for their services.

The technicians were very professional and worked fast. They had the parts they needed to repair my condenser with them so I did not need to schedule a follow up appointment and lose more time at work.

We haven't used them in a while but the last time we used them, they were fine. The price was pretty decent.

Once we purchased the coupon for an AC tuneup, Sala contacted us promptly the next day to schedule an appointment. The technician arrived on time and went about checking our AC system. We really appreciated the fact that the Sala coupon also offered a discount on a second unit, which we have with our 2 story home. The tech checked both units inside and out to make certain they had ample coolant and that the rooms were receiving the proper amount of cool air. We only needed a few pounds of coolant and everything else checked out fine so now we're ready for the warm summer weather.

Let me preface this review with the fact that I have never submitted a poor review, but I feel very passionately about this personal experience, and it continues to haunt me years later as I struggle with the financial repercussions. After reviewing the inspection report for my house during the option period, I called Sala Air to inspect the entire HVAC system and draft a quote for all necessary repairs to use in negotiating with the sellers. They came back with a quote for $1,842 (tax included), which is what I used to make my decision as a first-time homebuyer. After I purchased the house and moved in, I called three more companies to perform the same evaluation. All three companies returned quotes over $10,000, siting multiple issues with duct work and the actual units. After hearing the same logic and quotes from all three companies, I called Sala Air to come back out and perform a new evaluation. They came back with options ranging from $6,847 to $17,220, mentioning the same issues that the previous companies had included in their evaluations. When I requested a reason for this discrepancy (four months after their initial proposal during the option period), they were highly unresponsive and basically screened my calls. I eventually hired one of the other three companies to replace the downstairs system. Without anyone living upstairs, I was able to postpone repairs for the upstairs units, but now that I have a family renting the house, I am forced to replace the upstairs system, as well. The original estimate of $1,842 that I relied on to purchase my home has now turned into an extremely expensive misrepresentation (over $20,000). I am also extremely dissatisfied with the lack of professionalism in addressing and rectifying the situation.

The technician came and completed the check-up on my air conditioner. He was very professional, showed his id, and was prompt in arrival. He was thorough in his work and completed it in a timely manner.

From start to finish, they were very courteous, and kept in contact of when we could be expecting their technician.

UPDATE: On Saturday, August 31, my AC unit died again. I returned home at about 2:30pm and discovered that the unit was blowing but not cooling. The temperature outside was 102ºF. Inside, it was 85ºF. I called Sala's number and spoke to a woman who was probably at a call center somewhere. I explained the problem to her and requested emergency service. She took my information and said that my message would be delivered. I also went on Sala's website and sent an e-mail message requesting help. I did not hear from Sala. I waited about 90 minutes to give Sala time to respond. There was no call. As it was Labor Day weekend and I would likely not hear from anyone until Tuesday, I decided to call another company. Accelerated Mechanical Services dispatched a service person who diagnosed the problem: the compressor had blown out. AMS ordered a new unit and it was installed the next morning (Sunday) and I was back up and running, no thanks to Sala. Alex arrived and diagnosed the problem (a blown capacitor) within a few minutes. He replaced the part and the AC was on again! Alex said that a relay was worn and that although it probably wouldn't fail soon, it could go at any time. I decided to have him replace the relay as a precaution. Alex didn't have the part on his truck so he left for about an hour and returned with the part. After working on the unit for a while he discovered that he'd picked up the wrong part. He apologized and left again to get the correct part. After another 45 minutes (without AC), Alex returned and had the unit working again. I was not charged for the time to get the parts or for the time to install the incorrect part. I think that I got good service at a reasonable price.

All details are above on how I feel about the unit being fixed. Just doesn't seem to be up to snuff like it once was! I think coils are way over priced! It killed the pocket on price. Other than that everyone was very kind and I like them a lot! I guess it isn't their fault the price is what it is. just not sure why my AC unit doesn't get cold in the house at 74 like it did before and I have to set it at 72 now?

They did the tune-up as advertised and everything was in good condition. They also taped up some duct work in the attic that had separated and also propped up come duct work that was crimped.

I bought two "Big Deals" but one of them I cannot use apparently because they don't service my area. It was great service. The day I bought the coupon, I gave them a call right after. They called me back around 7 at night said that they can show up the next morning at 8:30. The guy was there exactly at 8:30. He worked on all the stuff and I ended up paying in total of about $90 for replacing parts that they see and some re-duct work. The guy was very nice.

The quality of work was excellent. I just did not anticipate the cost and the time it would take to repair the leak. Six hours of labor cost, in my opinion is mor than it should have taken. The cost of the two coolant charges should not have been charged to me. One, yes, but not two.

AC technician came, checked our AC unit, cleaned it, and added 1 lb of Freon to get it cooling properly. Nice, personable tech, explained what he was doing and why, gave some suggestions on improving unit performance (trim back some close shrubs, etc.). Very reasonable charge for the service, no trying to up-sell or try to say we needed phantom repairs/new parts, like some of the shady AC service companies do to pad the bill - very pleased with this company. Asked them for a quote on a new unit (this one is 15 yrs old, and likely will need to be replaced in the next year or so).

Great--clean, punctual and honest

I had gotten a quote from Milestone to replace my AC unit and they wanted to charge me 10k to redo the whole system. They also said this was my only option. I got Sala Airs information and they told me 2,000 to just replace outside unit which they said is the problem. I like how they were honest and didnt tell me that I had to replace the whole unit. I would definitely recommend them again.

Have used Sala for many years for HVAC for my residence. Always punctual, very courteous and explain fully what work was performed and explanation of charges. Would recommend Sala highly for anyone needing AC/heating checkup or repair.

I worked with them for several years, and they were alright to work with. I have a home with two units, and they did a good job with that. However, I also have a town home with a heat pump in it, but they didn’t do a very good job with the heat pump. I found another company that does better work on both things.

I had a problem the night before and looked them up and they scheduled me for the next morning. They knocked it out quickly and they were very professional. They didn't try to sell me anything i didn't need and I will use them again in the future.

I’ve used their services for many years and I’ve always been happy with them. They’ve always been quick to respond. They have explained all of the repairs and have made everything very understandable. They’ve always done a fair job!
