I hired Protex for extermination of cockroachs, as I live next to a couple who where "Meth Addicts". Their apartment was overrun with roaches, after they moved out the Landlord started renovation of that unit. I started seeing roaches, 2-3 a day. I had protex come out and treat my unit. I was so impressed with the service, knowledgeable exterminator so polite and nice. Well a WEEK Later, I hadn't seen one dead roach. I saw frequently roaches, so I called Protex., they need to do something. I got a friendly receptionist who told me " I had German Roaches, an infestation, NO GUARANTEE" 89.95 to come BACK OUT, and she turned RUDE TELLING ME TGAT I HAD A ROACH INFESTATION. The exterminator saw "2" roaches on initial visit, that doesn't suggest an infestation. The audacity of this company to demand (1 week) later after not seeing even a dead roach repayment for another try.....

They were prompt and took care of the ant problem in the kitchen. Haven't seen and ant since.

They are probably the least expensive people I know. My husband's secretary suggested them. They are prompt, courteous and easy to work them. If we like one person in particular, we can trust him and he can have a run of the house if he wants. They always send the same one because I'm comfortable around them. He knows my attic and he knows my house from top to bottom. They are very accommodating. I had been using other people and they cost about three times as much. They are very reasonable. I haven't had a single complaint and they will come back anytime for no extra charge if we feel worried. I have a contract with them for bugs and I have a contract with them for termites so they come and check on them regularly. They consider rats and things in the attic as part of the bugs. They were very good when I had an invasion of squirrels. They are phenomenal. I'm probably going to move out of state but I'm going to recommend them to whoever buys my house.

I've used Protex for longer than I can remember. Always professional, reasonable, and effective at controlling any insect problem.

I have used them for at least three years! They are phenomenal! They always show up when they say they will and the prices are great! They finish the job correctly, if there are any concerns later on, they always come back for free to check those concerns. I would have to say they are the best company that I have worked with, I really cannot say enough about this company. We have thanked my husband's secretary for recommending them to us on a continual basis! They have even preformed critter control for me as well, included in this price! Every technician is very courteous! They have truly spoiled me as a consumer!

I called on a Sunday regarding an ant infestation we discovered centered around one of our air vents. Protex was able to schedule an appointment for the next day with no problem. Because we were also due for our quarterly pest treatment, we scheduled that at the same time.
The technician arrived a few minutes later than the sheduled time slot. However, he was friendly and helpful. He treated the ants and then did our pest control treatment. He then came back the following week to make sure the ants were gone. We were happy with the service and we will continue to use Protex for our pest control needs.

Because we live in a heavily treed and green part of the city, we knew we would need regular pest control service to keep the bugs at bay. Our annual contract started out at $360/year. I just received our bill for our annual contract renewal, and it was more than $500! That's a 45% increase in 4 years! Granted, we've called them out plenty, since, increasinly, it seems like the quarterly treatment is just not enough. We see more and more roaches, ants and bugs indoors these days. But the additional treatments in between the quarterly treatments are not supposed to cost extra. Plus, we've paid them plenty extra to rid our attic of squirrles, which they absolutely failed to do this year. After trying for weeks to capture one pesky squirrel, they gave up. We have a crawl space where old house meets new addition that can't be reached by a human. I can't fault them for that, but they said they no longer have the special video camera equipment that could see into the space, and offered no alternative. Apparently the tech who used the equipment went to another service provider and took the equipment with him. I told my husband to call that other company. What's the point of paying extra for animal removal if the company's not actually capable of the removal?
In ProTex's credit, they have always been curteoous and prompt, and their techs seem knowledgable. But I am frustrated with their skyrocketing prices with decreasing results.

We built a home in 2008. My builder hired Protex to provide termite treatment. We received no brochure or information about the warranty, or the service. Three years later, we had a pest control service inspect under the house. Infested with termites. Four tunnels in four different areas. The new exterminator advised the original treatment should have lasted longer than three years, and must not have been applied properly. We called Protex to come out. They confirmed the infestation and offered to retreat for $1600. The warranty had expired because we had not called them every 12 months. Of course, we had no way of knowing we were supposed to call every 12 months. They didn't tell us, or leave any information. Since it wasn't done properly during construction, we had to drill holes in concrete and stone all around the perimeter of the new home, which is an eyesore.

I had a really bad rat infestation in my attic. Pro Tex as the only company that offered to help clean up the mess that the rats left behind as well as trap the rats. I called a few different places for an estimate and they all came to check out my attic. The ProTex technician was the only one that actually crawled into the attic, crawled under the house, and climbed up onto the roof, before he gave me an estimate. The rest gave a quick look then went straight for the price. The technicians were polite, professional, and prompt. They worked around my schedule. I was so impressed that I plan on using them for my regular pest control services.

Everyone at Protex Service, from the employee who answered the phone, to the person who came out was all excellent. They returned my phone calls. They gave me literature on what they were going to do, which was very informative. They were willing to spend time with me and answer my questions. They were very helpful. Protex Service customized my order to make it affordable for me.

THEY ARE COURTEOUS AND HELPFUL. THEY TAKE CARE OF OUR MONTHLY PEST CONTROL. THEY HAVE COME OUT FOR SPECIAL PROBLEMS ON OCCASION. COST IS PER MONTH.
