I sent out all my rugs to be cleaned at this company after reading good reviews.  The people on the phone were nice and the delivery guys were great.  However, the process was very h****** my rugs.  My hand knotted rugs survived OK, but my largest rug ( a sumack) was ruined.  The cleaning brought removed the top layer of weave in different areas of the rug, leaving white loose strands which appear like debris on the rug's surface.  It looks like it was harshly scrubbed in those areas.  The rug was in perfect condition when picked up.  It did not even look dirty.  I just sent it in to make sure rug was fresh and clean for family.  I brought the white fibers to the attention of the delivery guys.  They said it was just debris that would vacuum up.  It absolutely is part of the rug and will not come off.  The rug is dark colors so it is very visible.  In the company's defense, I did not initiate a claim of any kind because a family situation demanded my time for months after.  I would be happy to provide photos.

Response from Persian Rug & Carpet Cleaning Co

"Dear [member's name removed] I would like to thank you for your comments. We have received your note two years after the fact. It trouble me why you have waited so long to express your dissatisfaction. There is a better explanation for the white dots on your rug. The base of most rugs is cotton. The filament is not a continued string rather is tied to extension by a knot. When the rug is aged and soiled, these knots are not visible and when is cleaned they become obvious. I am sorry on your dissatisfaction. If you had told us about this matter, I assure you, we would have done whatever possible to earn your trust back. With respect, For Persian Rug Cleaning Ron Rais, Mgr"

I began working with Ron at this company last year when he picked up and cleaned all of my oriental rugs in my entire home. He also did excellent repair work on one of my Persians that was unraveling in a particular place at one end of the rug. The people he uses are exceptional and very professional. They also were caring and friendly. When they returned to deliver the cleaned rugs, they did an exceptional job placing the rugs back on the floors and actually knew exactly where they were when they picked them up; they laid them in the exact same place to the T. I also brought Ron a rug to have cleaned that was synthetic and he did an excellent job on that as well and was timely in all of his work for me. His place of business is a pleasure to go to if you simply want to drop a rug or two off and/or to get rug liners cut to size. His prices are extremely reasonable which is also very important to me.  highly recommend Ron and his company without hesitation.

I spoke with Mr. Rais on Monday,  April 28th, told him my rug needed cleaning and the fringe repaired. He assured me that it could be fixed, without seeing the damage. His team picked up the rug on April 29th. They were polite and professional. My rug was returned in beautiful condition after eleven business days. I was so thrilled with the outcome,  I called Mr. Rais to tell him how pleased I am with the results. NO one else will take care of my rugs.

They were professional and friendly and explained the process in detail.  In order to eliminate all stains and odor, they recommended a series of cleaning treatments and explained that the process would take a bit longer.  Since we were storing the rug, we were not in any hurry and agreed that getting an excellent result was more important than the timing.  They redelivered the rug to us, rolled and wrapped, but left the ends open so that we could add moth crystals during storage.  We would highly recommend them to anyone.

I had checked around on Angie's list looking for professional Persian  rug cleaners.  That's the only type carpet I have in my house so I wanted to only have a specialty company to clean my rugs.  The Persian rugs and Cleaners fit the bill.  The nice thing is that came to my house and picked up each rung to take back to their shop to then clean it and deliver it back to me.  That was included in the price.
So Persian rugs came out to pick up all 3 rugs and about a week later called to let me know they were done.  Since we were having some other things done in the house I asked if we could wait an extra week for delivery and they agreed.  So the day came when they delivered the rugs and they positioned them just the way I wanted and left.  They all looked clean and much newer after not having been cleaned in 15 years.  In my small office is where one of the rugs was laid and I noticed an odor and determined that the rug has a somewhat sour smelling.  I was going on vacation and thought I would leave it until I got back thinking it just needed more airing.
When I came back from vacation, the rug still didn't smell very nice and s0w I smelled the other 2 and the second small rug also smelled.  I call the Persian rug company and talked to the owner and let him know what I found and asked him to come back and pick the 2 smaller rugs up again and wash them.  They came out the next day and picked them up, no questions asked.  About a week later they call to deliver the rugs and they smelled so much better.
Not sure what happened the first time with the rugs but I was very happy about them re-washing them without much complaint and I only gave them a "B" rating because the 2 small rugs were not cleaned properly the first time.  Other than that, they were great and I would recommend them.

I bought this rug at an estate sale several years ago and decided to have it cleaned,   I was afraid it would cost several hundred dollars.  The estimate over the phone was $95 as I didn't have the exact measurements of the rug.  There was a minimum charge of $165 if they picked up & delivered the rug.  I didn't want to pay that, so brought the rug to them myself.  I didn't know anything about the rug, what it was made of, value, etc.  The man who helped me told me the rug was all wool and would cost around $800 brand new.  When he found out I purchased it at an estate sale, he suggested I never bring a rug into my house without getting it cleaned first.  He said I wouldn't know what was in the rug.   This company also repairs rugs.  I failed to bring my Angie's list coupon with me when I picked up the rug and they applied the discount anyway.  The rug must have had a lot of crud in it because it was much lighter weight after cleaning.  I'd definitely use them again.

They did a great job, they even sent a handwritten follow up letter in the mail. They had their 50th anniversary and sent another letter which was very nice. I would recommend them to others.

, The receptionist was courteous, sweet and very knowledgeable.  The guys who picked up the rug were prompt, clean, friendly, careful and respectful of my floor, furniture and highly valued rug.  The job was completed ahead of time.  I was in need of having the rug stored through the Spring and possibly Summer, Ron, (the owner), said, "No problem, we'll just keep it and bill you at the end. We like to please the customer!" he was so accommodating, that it really shocked me.  My only disappointment is that Ron doesn't clean other things like, kids, dogs, cars, and my house!  Working with Persian  Rugs has been a pleasure from beginning to end.  I will never patronize another rug company.

The rug came back much brighter.  It didn't smell super fresh but "smell good" ingredients might be dangerous to the organic dyes.  Sam was great.  I've worked with him before--very thoughtful about moving furniture, etc.

Everything went perfectly!  Picked up rugs at appointed time, handled them with care, professional and friendly, cleaning was excellent, hand done, and delivery was right on time.  Placed the rugs perfectly, were very patient while I changed my mind on positioning. Couldn't be a better experience.

Persian Rug Company sent out 2 men to take 2 area rugs in to their facility to hand clean them. These 2 men were on time and very professional in their work. They swiftly & carefully moved the dinning room furniture and rolled up the area rug to take with them. They pointed out the problem with the old pad which was stuck to the floor. They recommended a new pad and suggested I speak to the owner of the company about purchasing one from them. They then removed the area rug from the den. They gave me a time frame of when the cleaning would be done. I was called the day after the work was done to schedule a redelivery time. Again, they showed up on time and went about moving furniture, laying down new pad and putting area rugs back in their original locations. Great attitudes and very professional!I will certainly use them again if I have the need.
