I have used this service off and on for over 6 years. They are always reliable and will to accommodate schedule changes with notice. I always recommend them when asked about a cleaning service

I called Molly Maids that services Allen, TX.  I requested a move in
clean for a home we had just purchased.  That service is more expensive than just general cleaning. 
She told me the ladies would be here for approx. 4 hours.  Days before, I called to confirm I was told that
only 2 ladies would be coming.  Our home is 3,900 square feet.
I told her my concern that they would not be able to get everything
done with just 2 ladies.   She assured me that they  would be able to complete the job.   
After several phones call, I calling them and them calling me, they got here about 1.5 hours late. 
I think that started to issue.  They wanted to be done by 5.  So they rushed. 
They did not perform move in cleaning duties.  They basically did general, light cleaning if that. 
Cob webs in window seals where untouched, toilet still had
issues, the windows to the office french doors were cloudy dirty, the refrigerator was a mess,
cabinets inside were to be wiped out.  Most were not.  There are still many other things neglected. 
They did not even have to vacuum because the carpets had been cleaned 2 days
before.  That left them with extra time to clean other areas. 
Well the next day the lady called to inquire about the cleaning and to see if I
was pleased.  I told her of things not done at all or not done well.  She did apologized
and sent over 2 more different ladies (which they came
late but did call).  I then had to instruct them on what to do.  What they
cleaned, they did fine. 
Problem was that I had still not noticed everything at that point .  Too many people in and out. I
take responsibility  for not inspecting everything thoroughly.  I did not think I had to inspect. 
 I kept seeing issues the next several days.  I was disgusted! 
I had 2 ladies where I moved from who were fabulous. 
Never perfect, but not looking for perfection.  But they did the cleaning and did it well without me standing
over them and managing them.  I understand how hard house cleaning is and I respect those who do it and do it well. 
The representative from Molly Maids did call again but I did not return her call.  I was done!  Never again!

Over the course of the year, I used them for 11 cleans, and I would say out of 11 only 3 were good or acceptable. The first clean was wonderful but after that it just went downhill. The cleaning teams were INCREDIBLY UNRELIABLE with the time window they give for the clean. We weren't comfortable leaving a key and not being in the house while they were cleaning. I expected to be at home for a while, but there were times I would waste 8 hours of my day waiting for them to come and then clean my house (which is not a huge place - it is a townhouse of about 2500 square feet) It was difficult to communicate with the team about what you would like them to focus on because of the language barrier. The team "leader" is supposed to be able to speak English, but we learned that was not generally the case. The cleaning was spotty at best. I had to call and complain several times because there were several times they did not vaccuum and it was obvious. The toilet bowls were rarely cleaned, and the shower stall was NEVER scrubbed by the service - they would simply clean the glass door. If they mopped the wood floors, you couldn't tell. I continued to use the service because the woman who is in charge of scheduling was VERY nice, professional, and she would assure me the next time would be better. She is the primary reason I continued to use the service. On the final clean, I had enough. The crew didn't dust or vaccuum in my daughter's room or our living room; they did not move any appliances on the kitchen counters - they merely wiped around them (we moved the appliances and could see spots); they did not wipe the vent hood over the stove; and they didn't clean the wood floors. In fact, under the kitchen table, there was dust and bits of food we had missed from my daughter's dinner the night before. After they left, I had to clean the enitre house before our guests arrived because the job was so bad. What is worse, when I went back to clean, the granite bathroom counters were FILTHY, which leads me to believe they simply wipe down the fixtures without really cleaning anything! I was disgusted! The only thing they seem to do is fold the roll of toilet paper into a corner like a hotel, to give the apperance of a clean - they do not really clean! I am not someone who uses a white glove to inspect, but the lack of cleaning was so blatantly obvious, I couldn't overlook the shortcomings of the cleaning service any longer. I called to complain and cancel the service. To the company's credit, they did not charge me for my final clean. I actually took pictures to show the service the problems we discovered with the clean in hopes they could use it for training purposes. What the company promises when they provide an in-home estimate is not what the cleaning crews actually deliver. I had three good cleans throughout my 11 cleans with the service and the inconsistency is horrible. Shame on me for not cancelling my service after my first two bad cleans. I stayed with them as long as I did because we didn't have the time to find a new service and as I stated before, the woman who is in charge of scheduling was so kind and reassuring that things would improve. I should have known better. Now we are members of Angie's list, I hope to find a better service!
